-- A woman on Georgetown Road, Knox Township reported at 10:16 p.m. Saturday that her neighbor on Homeworth Road was yelling at her and her dogs when she was outside on her property.
-- A man on Forbes Road, Madison Township reported at 9:35 p.m. Saturday that the skirting on his mobile home was damaged.
-- A man on state Route 45, Center Township called at 7:27 p.m. Saturday to report multiple items inside his residence have been moved around, possibly by the home health aide.
-- A man on Carmel Achor Road, Middleton Township reported at 4:26 p.m. Saturday that his 16-year-old son was bitten by a family member's dog and receiving treatment at East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool. He said he'll be contacting the Columbiana County Dog Warden.
-- A woman on Y Camp Road, Madison Township reported at 3:59 p.m. Saturday that her son had multiple people stay at the residence overnight and some were juveniles. The eviction process was explained to her.
-- A 911 open line was reported at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at a property on Center Road, Knox Township. The homeowner said no one at the residence had the phone number that made the call.
-- A vehicle fire was reported at 12:20 p.m. Saturday at a Slater Road, Butler Township property.
-- At 9:16 a.m. Sept. 13, a Yellow Creek Township woman called in regarding a possible harassment from a hacked account on a messaging platform. Deputies were unable to make further contact with the woman.
Highway Patrol
-- John C. Barnhart, 57, Masontown, Pa., was cited for assured clear distance after his westbound vehicle struck the rear of a stopped westbound vehicle driven by Cyndee M. McNeal, 54, Columbus, who suffered a suspected minor injury but was not transported, at 12:38 p.m. Sept. 22 on state Route 172 in West Township.
-- Curtis D. Miller, 37, Minerva, was cited for improper passing after his northbound vehicle attempted to pass and struck another northbound vehicle on Mahoning Avenue at 12:09 p.m. Sept. 22 in Knox Township driven by Richard S. Gill, 51, Rootstown, who was trying to turn left into a private drive. The Miller vehicle then went off of the road and struck a mailbox. Gill was cited for a turn signal violation for not signaling for the turn. No injuries were reported.
-- Cole M. Clemens, 18, Lewis Road, Salineville, was cited for reasonable control after losing control of his southbound vehicle on state Route 164 and running off of the right side of the road, striking a guardrail at 5:02 p.m. Sept. 21 in Center Township. No injury was reported.
-- McKaylie L. Ridley, 28, Fremont, was cited for assured clear distance after her eastbound vehicle struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle on state Route 517 driven by Landon G. Rottener, 18, Elkton Road, Lisbon at 3:37 p.m. Sept. 21 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
-- A vehicle driven by Nathaniel Ford, 24, West Main Street, Salineville, was northbound on Cunningham Road at 3:24 p.m. Sept. 19 when it went off the right side of the road at Bentley and struck a tree in Salem. According to court records, Ford fled the scene on foot into a wooded area and was charged with third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and misdemeanors of failure to stop after an accident, driving under suspension, reckless operation and no seat belt for fleeing from multiple agencies during the Sept. 19 incident which started on Third Street in Salem.
-- Troy T. Faulk, 24, Moore Street, Lisbon, was cited for a stop sign violation after his southbound vehicle on state Route 164 failed to stop and struck a westbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Leetonia on state Route 558, causing the teen's vehicle to overturn and go off of the left side of the road at 4:57 p.m. Sept. 18 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Patricia L. Wolfe, 74, Eric Drive, Lisbon, was cited for a stop sign violation after her southbound vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign on Kelly Park Road and was struck by a northeast bound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Lisbon on state Route 164, also known as Columbiana-Lisbon Road at 1:05 p.m. Sept. 18 in Fairfield Township. The juvenile's vehicle traveled off of the south side of the road while the Wolfe vehicle traveled off of the east side of Kelly Park Road, struck a pole and overturned. The teen and a passenger, also a juvenile, each suffered suspected minor injuries and both were taken by Columbiana EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
-- Tamara R. Deringer, 66, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, wasn't injured when a tree branch fell and struck the window of her vehicle, which was northbound on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 10:24 a.m. Sept. 18, leaving damage.
-- Two drivers were injured when a vehicle driven by Grant Greier, 21, Haessly Road, Hanoverton struck a cow in the road while southbound on state Route 9 at 4:16 a.m. Sept. 18 in Hanover Township. A vehicle driven by Melina Fransisco, 29, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, then struck the Greier vehicle which was disabled in the road. Greier suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Salem Regional Medical Center by Hanoverton EMS. Fransisco suffered a possible injury and was transported by Winona EMS to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman. No citations were listed.
-- Randy Lee Stith, 44, West Pidgeon Road, Salem, wasn't injured when his eastbound vehicle on state Route 558 struck a tree that fell across the road at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 17 in Fairfield Township.
-- Sherri L. Nappi, 65, Cedar Street, Salem, was cited for a stop sign violation after she failed to merge from the eastbound ramp onto U.S. Route 30 in Madison Township and stuck the right side of an eastbound vehicle driven by Donald R. Dawkins, 65, Warren, at 6:20 a.m. Sept. 17. No injuries were reported.
-- Arnold E. Baite, 37, Redford, Mich., was cited for reasonable control after his southbound vehicle traveled off of the right side of state Route 11 and struck a guardrail at 6:10 a.m. Sept. 17 in Fairfield Township. No injury was reported.
-- James E. Smith, 74, Macklin Road, New Waterford, was cited for reasonable control after turning left from Macklin Road to state Route 14 west and traveling off of the road and striking a ditch at 6:15 a.m. Sept. 16 in New Waterford. Smith and his passenger, Juliane Smith, 75, Macklin Road, New Waterford, each suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken by East Palestine to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
-- An accident involving a bicycle and a vehicle remained under investigation from 5:55 a.m. Sept. 16 on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township when an eastbound vehicle driven by Aaron D. Dotson, 24, Walnut Street, Rogers, struck a bicycle ridden by Leah M. Troyer, 22, Osbourne Road, Salineville, who was also eastbound, causing Troyer to strike a guardrail and get ejected. Troyer suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported by Lifeteam EMS and then lifeflighted to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dotson was driving a car listed as owned by Utica Shale Academy.
-- Skyler J. McAfee, 18, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, was cited for reasonable control after his vehicle traveled off of McCormick Run Road and overturned into a creek, striking a large rock at 12:45 p.m. Sept. 15 in Madison Township. McAfee and a passenger were both uninjured.
-- Hartley J. Malone, 32, and his passenger, Taylor N. Brophey, 32, both of Wellsville, both suffered suspected serious injuries and were taken by Stat MedEvac to Mercy Health, Youngstown, after their Kawasaki side-by-side was attempting a left turn from state Route 164 to Hull Road and was a struck by another northbound vehicle driven by Logan McCartney, 19, Glasgow Road, Salineville, who was attempting to pass on the left side on state Route 164, causing the side-by-side to overturn and come to rest on the southbound lane of state Route 164 at 5:34 p.m. Sept. 11 in Wayne Township. The McCartney vehicle traveled off of the road, down an embankment and struck two trees prior to coming to rest in a ditch. McCartney wasn't injured. Two children in the side-by-side suffered suspected minor injuries and were taken by Lifeteam EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital. No citations were listed on the report at this time.
Salem
-- A burglary in progress was reported in the 200 block of West 16th Street at 9:06 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised they had heard an ex-boyfriend at the back door of their residence attempting to open the door, but nobody was in the area when officers arrived. Officers collected information about the situation from the caller.
-- Officers spoke with a woman at the police department regarding telecommunications harassment at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday. The woman advised that a person was continuously contacting her on her cell phone and that she wanted to file a no contact order. Officers advised her of the options for obtaining the order, and that they would attempt to contact the person and instruct them to stop calling.
-- Possible gunshots were reported in the 1000 block of East Third Street at 8:02 p.m. Tuesday. Officers heard the potential shots and were able to confirm they were fireworks but were unable to locate their source.
-- A noise complaint was reported in the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found that the matter was actually a dispute over property. The property was returned, and both parties were advised to stay away from each other.
-- A civil issue was reported in the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that they were having issues with packages being stolen, and that a neighbor had taken their package and later brought it back. Officers spoke with the neighbor who advised they had returned home late at night and taken the package inside without reading the name on it. Officers advised them to read the label on the package more thoroughly.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 5:36 p.m. Tuesday regarding a child custody dispute. The person advised their ex-wife had not returned their children at the required time. Officers gathered information and a statement and advised them that the report would be sent to the prosecutor's office for review.
-- Threats were reported in the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that the new neighbor across the hall had made threatening remarks towards them and their vehicle. The caller provided officers with a recording of the incident and advised that they just needed a report documenting the threats so it could be submitted to the apartment's management. The caller was advised to contact officers again if the neighbor caused any further issues.
-- A cell phone was reportedly stolen in the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue at 1:09 p.m. Tuesday. Further investigation found that the matter was a civil issue and not theft. The caller was advised of their options.
-- Property damage was reported in the 400 block of East Perry Street at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised a vehicle had attempted to turn around in their yard and got stuck requiring another vehicle to pull it out and caused major damage to their lawn. Surveillance footage of the incident was obtained.
-- Theft was reported in the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday. Officers collected information about the alleged theft, and the matter is under investigation.
