-- An Elkrun Township resident on Riffle Road reported a theft at 10:24 p.m. Sunday, but when a deputy called, he was told the item stolen was returned. The resident did not want to pursue charges.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 8:53 p.m. Sunday on Hartley Road, Knox Township. A deputy spoke to both parties after responding, with one party advising she was leaving for the night as soon as she grabbed her belongings. The deputy stood by while the belongings were gathered, then both parties separated.
Leetonia
- An officer responded to a business in the 300 block of Columbia Street at 5:05 p.m. Sunday in reference to a customer who had fainted in the store. The officer and a medical first responder found the customer in possession of a white powdery substance in a plastic baggie and three loose pills. EMS administered Narcan on the customer.
Salem
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 700 block of Summit Street at 11:07 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that their daughter had been evicted and was inviting many people to the residence. Officers found that the person in question had not been legally evicted, and the caller was advised of their options.
-- A runaway juvenile was reported in the 100 block of South Union Avenue at 7:15 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that a male juvenile hadn't returned home from school. Officers located the juvenile in the 100 block of Hawley Avenue and returned them to their residence.
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 800 block of Superior Avenue at 1:32 p.m. Monday. The caller advised an unknown man had exited their vehicle, run up and opened the passenger door and attempted to enter the vehicle. The caller advised they pushed the man out of the vehicle, and they then ran back to their vehicle and left the area. Officers gathered surveillance footage, and the matter is under investigation.
-- Officers assisted the fire department with a kitchen fire in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:20 a.m. Monday. Officers blocked off the street while the fire department extinguished the fire.
-- A suspicious person was reported in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue at 8:01 a.m. Monday. The caller advised a woman was yelling at children while they were at the bus stop, and that two syringes with needles had been located near the area. Officers advised the woman to move along and gathered the syringes and disposed of them at the police department.
-- Criminal trespassing was reported in the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 7:32 a.m. Monday. The property owner advised they wanted a person to be trespassed from the property and completed a criminal trespass form. Officers will attempt to serve to person in question with the trespass notice.
