-- A spokesman for B & S Carryout, state Route 39, Washington Township, reported at 3:27 p.m. Saturday that a man came into the store and bought one lottery ticket, then showed the cashier pictures of girls from inside his wallet and left in a vehicle.
-- At 9:05 p.m. Friday, a deputy assisted a Washingtonville woman who had run out of gas in the 8500 block of state Route 14, Green Township, giving her a courtesy transport to and from Murphy USA gas station, Salem.
-- A woman on Mountz Road, Knox Township reported at 8:56 p.m. Friday that she had napkin rings delivered in a package Friday from FedEx and the package was stolen from her front porch.
-- A Malvern woman reported at 8:49 p.m. Friday that trucks and a camper are parked in the driveway of her deceased son's residence on U.S. Route 30, Hanover Township. She believed the trucks and camper belonged to the neighbor or her grandson.
-- Norfolk Southern Railroad called at 7:39 p.m. Friday to report a man trespassing on the tracks in the 3200 block of Silliman Street, New Waterford. A deputy checked the tracks but didn't find anyone.
-- A woman on Metz Road, Fairfield Township reported at 2:04 p.m. Friday that her ex-boyfriend, of New Waterford, came to her residence in his vehicle and was knocking on her door. A deputy spoke with him by phone and he was advised, per the woman, not to return to her property or contact her.
-- A deputy at 11:14 p.m. Thursday observed two people inside a parked vehicle at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, South 12th Street, Knox Township, after dark. The deputy spoke to the Beloit man and Sebring woman and they said they would be on their way.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 7:53 p.m. Thursday to Mick Road, Yellow Creek Township for a person having mental health issues who was with multiple family members and members of the crisis team. Lifeteam EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool.
Salem
-- Alleged patient abuse was reported in the 200 block of Continental Drive at 4:29 a.m. Monday. Officers collected information about the issue.
-- A child custody dispute was reported in the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 7:51 p.m. Sunday. Officers were advised that one parent was not returning the children at the time designated by their court order, and the caller wanted it documented.
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:54 p.m. Sunday. The caller alleged that their neighbor was spraying chemicals through the vents into her apartment. Officers did not observe any odor inside the apartment. Officers did not hear any sounds nor smell any chemical odor and spoke with the neighbor who denied doing so.
-- A person to be removed was reported in the 1600 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:51 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that a man and woman that had been residing with her for weeks needed to be removed. Officers advised that as the tenants had established residency in the home, they would need to be evicted. However, the female tenant, Donna May, Salem, had an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office and was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- A burglary was reported in the 1200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:36 a.m. Sunday. The caller advised a wanted person had broken the screen on their front porch and taken a gray hoodie. The caller advised that they did not want to pursue charges at that time but wanted to make police aware that he had changed clothing.
-- A suspicious person was reported in the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 10 a.m. Sunday. Officers and members of several other agencies located the person in question, whose name was not listed and had multiple active warrants, and they were taken into custody by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
-- Someone potentially screaming for help was reported in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 12:41 a.m. Sunday. Officers found that the resident's child had been having a sleep over and had been yelling loudly at a video game with the window open.
-- A person to be removed was reported at a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:56 p.m. Saturday. Officers removed the person in question and served them with a criminal trespass notice on behalf of the business.
-- A civil issue was reported in the 900 block of East Third Street at 9:14 p.m. Saturday. The caller advised a former roommate had returned to the property for some belongings earlier in the day and had left several boxes of canned goods in the driveway and would not return to collect them. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they did not believe the items were his and that he could not come to retrieve them. Officers advised the caller that the items were their property now and could either keep or dispose of them as they pleased.
-- Officers assisted several agencies in attempting to apprehend a man with several active warrants in the 800 block of East School Road at 3:21 p.m. Saturday.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 12:54 p.m. Saturday regarding alleged telecommunications harassment. The persona advised that a woman they knew was posting untrue statements about them on social media. They were advised to block the woman on all social media and contact the department if any direct contact occurs.
-- Officers assisted the fire department with a reported natural gas leak in the 1200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:22 p.m. Saturday.
