Sheriff's Office
-- A deputy was dispatched at 9:06 p.m. Wednesday to Rose Drive, Center Township for a person having mental health issues and leaving the residence walking. While en route, dispatch advised the deputy that the person was with a family member at Dollar General. At Dollar General, the deputy spoke with the family member and person who were on their way back to the residence. The deputy followed them to the residence, per the family member, then left.
-- A woman on Center Avenue, Center Township, reported at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday that she applied for a loan on Facebook for $1,500 and now found out it was a scam. She said she didn't get any money or send any money, but did provide her personal information when she applied for the loan. She was advised to contact the Facebook administrator.
-- A Butler Township woman called at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday regarding an incident, with an address on Valley Road listed on the report. She was contacted by deputies and advised a report would be on file.
-- Alliance Police in Stark County requested at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday that a Columbiana County deputy check a residence on South 12th Street, Knox Township, for a person who allegedly pulled a firearm on employees at a business in their jurisdiction. While en route, dispatch advised Alliance Police had the person in custody.
-- A suspicious person was reported at 9:55 a.m. Monday on Mountz Road, West Township.
-- A Knox Township resident on Georgetown Road reported a suspicious-acting man getting his vehicle stuck on the property at 1:41 p.m. Sunday. Deputies responded and learned it was a political canvasser that was unfamiliar with the area. Nothing criminal took place.
-- An Elkrun Township man on Pine Hollow Road reported at 12:32 p.m. Sunday that a fiber optic line was blocking his driveway. Deputies responded and learned that no line had been placed in front of the home, only marking tape.
-- A Salem Township woman called at 11:39 a.m. Sunday regarding a dispute with another person in her townhouse development on Foxden Drive. Deputies responded to investigate. No criminal charges were being filed at this time.
-- A woman from St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Center Township reported a civil matter involving her neighbors at 11:07 a.m. Sunday. Neither party reported further issues.
-- A domestic violence report was taken at 11:08 p.m. Sept. 12 at a residence on Center Avenue, Center Township. All parties involved advised it was a disagreement and no assaults or threats of violence occurred.
-- A private property accident was reported on Hibbetts Mill Road, Yellow Creek Township at an off-road racing event at 12:09 p.m. Sept. 12. All parties were treated by EMS.
Highway Patrol
-- Donald Lee McGrath, 48, Endley Road, Lisbon, was cited for reasonable control after his pickup and trailer on state Route 164 crossed the center line, traveled off of the road and overturned at 10:38 p.m. Sept. 12 in Wayne Township.
-- Kelly R. Rollins, 32, Denver Street, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to yield after pulling from a private driveway and being struck by a southbound vehicle on state Route 170 driven by Robert J. Beresford, 41, Parkway, East Liverpool at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 12 in St. Clair Township. Rollins suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported by Lifeteam EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital. Two passengers in her vehicle also suffered suspected minor injuries, with Charlene Hess, 68, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, transported by Lifeteam to East Liverpool hospital and Kara Hess, 42, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, transported by NorthStar EMS to East Liverpool hospital. A juvenile in the vehicle and the other driver and his passenger were not injured.
-- Travis A. Mohrbacher, 35, Monaca, Pa., was cited for failure to yield right of way after his westbound truck and trailer on U.S. Route 62 turned left into a private parking lot and was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Sandra D. Stanley, 71, North 12th Street, Sebring at 4:34 p.m. Sept. 11 in Knox Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Peggy S. Cunningham, 67, South Street, Easy Palestine, was cited for a stop sign violation after her northbound vehicle on state Route 164 struck an eastbound vehicle on state Route 558 driven by Lindsay M. Frase, 26, Old state Route 154, New Waterford, who was in the intersection at 2:35 p.m. Sept. 11 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Taylor M. Johnson, 21, South Main Street, Beloit, was cited for reasonable control after he northeast bound vehicle traveled off of the right side of Georgetown Road and struck a ditch at 2:04 a.m. Sept. 11 in Knox Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Charles R. Stoffel, 34, Spillway Road, Lisbon, and his passenger escaped injury after a hit/skip at 3:29 p.m. Sept. 10 in Perry Township when an unknown driver and vehicle eastbound on state Route 45 struck his eastbound vehicle from behind and fled the scene.
-- A hit/skip with an unknown driver was being investigated after a westbound vehicle on Cherry Fork Road in Fairfield Township at 11:17 a.m. Sept. 7 failed to negotiate a curve, drove off of the right side of the road and struck a ditch and traffic sign. The vehicle owned by AMTR Services LLC, Fort Wayne, Ind., was towed from the scene. The driver was listed as unknown.
Leetonia
- An officer on patrol in the first block of Madison Street at 6:08 p.m. Sept. 13 observed a storage door of a business open and discovered damage to the door knob, latch, plate and door frame where someone had made entry. The officer found the door frame broken off at the latch and plate, with both items thrown across the floor. The officer also found broken glass and other items that appeared to have been broken or tampered with.
- An officer was flagged down in the area of Pearl and Lisbon streets at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 13 in reference to juveniles knocking on doors at late hours of the night then running away. One of the juveniles involved was identified through social media posts of the incidents
- Officers responded to the 100 block of Elm Street at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 11 where a resident reported his juvenile son had returned home under the influence of marijuana after being out with friends. Officers spoke with the parents of the other juveniles, advising them of the situation. The juveniles were issued warnings for underage marijuana possession.
