-- A structure fire was reported in the 300 block of East Euclid Street at 5:09 a.m. Monday. When firefighters arrived, smoke was visible inside the building, and they were met by employees of the business that took them to the area where the fire occurred. The fire had been mostly extinguished by employees with fire extinguishers and was confined to a workstation where employees advised an oil line appeared to have burst. Firefighters lifted steel plates and located smoldering debris which was extinguished with a water can. Firefighters then checked the area with a thermal imaging camera to confirm there were no further hot spots. A large electrical panel and ventilation equipment were damaged by the fire, and property damage was estimated at $750,000. The business was advised to contact the department if it needed a copy of the report for its insurance.
