Sheriff's Office
-- A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an accident involving multiple motorcycles in the 1900 block of Westville Lake Road, Knox Township at 3:10 p.m. Saturday. North Georgetown Fire Department and Sebring EMS were on scene also.
-- A man from North Market Street, Unity Township reported at 8:57 p.m. Friday that his ex-girlfriend arrived in her vehicle in his driveway, yelling and screaming at him. He said he gave her $70 and she left and was enroute to Youngstown.
-- AT&T, Youngstown, reported at 12:37 p.m. Friday that 6,000 feet of copper wire was stolen in the 41600 block of Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 11:15 p.m. Aug. 18 to Lake Front Drive, Knox Township, for a protection order violation. Michael J. Roesti, 69, Lake Front Drive, Knox Township, was charged with violating a protection order and taken to the Columbiana County Jail.
Highway Patrol
-- Carrie A. Plath, 50, Hartley Road, Beloit, escaped injury after her southbound vehicle struck a cow that entered Rochester Road at 10:34 p.m. Aug. 20 in West Township.
-- A 17-year-old Wellsville girl was cited for assured clear distance after her southeastbound vehicle failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead on state Route 39 and struck the rear of another southeastbound vehicle driven by April D. Donaldson, 45, Academy Street, Salineville, who slowed to a stop for a garbage truck at 2:40 p.m. Aug. 20 in Washington Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Mark S. Lamancusa, 68, East Ninth Street, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his eastbound vehicle on Georgetown Road traveled across the center line and off of the left side of the road before coming to final rest at 5:22 p.m. Aug. 19 in Knox Township. No injuries were reported to the driver or his passenger.
-- Jessica M. Hepfl, 35, Girard, suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Health in Canton by Sandy Creek EMS after her westbound vehicle traveled off of U.S. Route 30, struck a ditch and utility pole and overturned at 1:51 a.m. Aug. 19 in West Township. She was charged with reasonable control, with the report noting that alcohol and drugs were suspected.
-- Douglas S. Lewis, 59, Morris Road, Lisbon, suffered suspected minor injuries, but wasn't transported after his westbound vehicle on state Route 154 drove off the right side of the road and overturned when an unidentified vehicle traveled left of center while eastbound on state Route 154, into the other lane at 4:08 p.m. Aug. 18 in Elkrun Township. The hit/skip vehicle and its driver weren't identified.
-- Abigail M. Everly, 20, Salem Warren Road, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after her northbound vehicle went off of the right side of state Route 45 and struck a mailbox and ditch at 10:08 a.m. Aug. 18 in Salem Township. No injury was reported.
-- Jordan S. Hart, 30, Jefferson Street, Salineville, suffered suspected serious injuries and was flown by Stat MedEvac to Mercy Health, Youngstown after his northwestbound motorcycle drove over some loose gravel on state Route 644 in Salineville at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 18, lost control and overturned. No citation was listed.
-- Robert L. McGhee, 34, Howard, Pa., escaped injury after he swerved his vehicle in an attempt to avoid a tree in the road while eastbound on U.S. Route 30 in Center Township at 3:58 a.m. Aug. 16, going off of the road and striking a ditch, tree and utility pole. There was no citation.
Leetonia
- A Center Street resident reported at 12:35 p.m. Thursday a prescription refill had been stolen from his mailbox July 29.
- A Walnut Street resident reported at 5:51 p.m. Aug. 19 her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her a couple weeks prior and had threatened to burn her car and kill her in her sleep. Officers advised the resident to provide any images or text messages for evidence.
- A Lisbon Road resident reported at 6:07 p.m. Aug. 18 a known person walked out of their house and flipped her off and then texted her multiple times despite being told to stop. An officer spoke with the other person in question who said that the complainant flipped her off, so she texted her to see if there was a problem. Both individuals were advised to cease contact with each other.
