Sheriff's Office

-- A woman on state Route 558, Fairfield Township, reported at 3:53 p.m. Thursday that she received a call from a man with a middle Eastern accent claiming to be a sergeant from the Columbiana Police Department in Columbiana and requesting $13,350 in bitcoin to avoid arrest. She paid the money and now realizes she was scammed.

-- A woman on East Liverpool Road, Madison Township reported at 12:03 p.m. Thursday that her daughter, who resides in East Liverpool, continues to trespass on the property. A deputy spoke by phone with the daughter and advised her of the complaint. She said the residence is her grandmother's and that her grandmother and father invited her over.

Salem

- An officer responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 1:44 p.m. Thursday in reference to a theft that occurred between Aug. 9 and 15.

- Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 10th Street at 6:39 a.m. Thursday in reference to someone inside an apartment calling for help. Officers forced entry and found the resident had fallen during the night and needed a lift assist.

- An individual reported on station at 12:14 a.m. Thursday she had been assaulted by a co-worker Aug. 17 and that her place of employment would not fire the co-worker, and is instead keeping the both of them on the same shift. The individual was advised to contact the corporate office of her employer and that a report would be on file.

- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 10:17 p.m. Wednesday where a resident reported her ex-boyfriend would not leave her alone, showing up at her place of employment and using aliases to contact her.

- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday in reference to someone selling drugs to minors and possibly overdosing. Officers spoke with the person in question and found the person to be exhibiting behavior consistent with a drug overdose. Medical personnel responded, but the person ultimately refused treatment.

- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Mound Street at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday in reference to two people in a dumpster. Officers spoke with the individuals who said they were looking through the garbage and advised them to leave the area.

- An officer responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday where a resident reported known individuals were harassing him via social media despite him asking them to stop and blocking them on the platform.

- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday in reference to a juvenile offender. Officers later transported the juvenile to a detention center after the juvenile was cleared from the Salem hospital.

Columbiana

- Stella B. Jackson, 64, Rogers, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East State Route 14 at 5:38 p.m. Aug. 15.

- Joseph Strock, 24, Boardman, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on North Main Street near East Salem Street at 2:17 p.m. Aug. 7.

- Barbara Diiullo, 62, Columbiana was cited for OVI following a traffic stop on state Route 14 at Lucretia Lane at 11:49 p.m. Aug. 3.

Perry Township

- A Meadow Wood Drive resident reported at midnight Aug. 19 she received a call from a bank in San Francisco saying she had opened a credit card with her old address and was concerned she was attempting to use the card to purchase firearms and was going to report her to the Department of Homeland Security. The resident was advised to contact the bank to see if an account had been opened in her name.

- An officer responded to the 2300 block of Goshen Road at 2:37 p.m. Aug. 18 where a resident reported $3,000 missing from her purse. The resident reported a similar incident had occurred around July 5 in which approximately $500 came up missing. The resident said both incidents likely involved her son's wife.

- Courtney Rudolph, 46, Salem, was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after officers responded to the 1100 block of Liberty Street at 12:56 a.m. Aug. 18 in reference to Rudolph attempting to enter a home through at window and found she had allegedly entered a vehicle in the driveway while under the influence of a prescription drug.

East Liverpool

- Officers responded to the first block of Railroad Street at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday in reference to an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle, but there were ruts in the ground. Officers requested the sheriff's office to contact the registered owner to advise the vehicle had been towed.

- Officers assisted Liverpool Township officers at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 10 with a combative patient at the city hospital who had been refused by the Columbiana County Jail. Officers stood by while the patient was medicated and advised hospital staff to advise officers when the patient was ready to be discharged.

Liverpool Township

- Gerald Fowler, no age and address listed, was cited for improper display and driving under suspension following a traffic stop on south state Route 7 at 1:24 a.m. Aug. 18.

- Junior Ibuye, no age or address listed, was cited for speed following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at mile post 4 at 1:04 a.m. Aug. 18.

- Justin Campbell, no age or address listed, was cited for no driver's license following a traffic stop on Campground Road near Far Hill trailer park at 4:16 p.m. Aug. 15.

- John Porter, no age or address listed, was cited for no plates following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at mile post 4 at 11:40 p.m. Aug. Aug. 14.

- James Ronald Hurst, 37, no address listed, was cited for no license and expired plates following a traffic stop on Broad Street at Parkway Avenue at 12:54 a.m. Aug. 14.

- Heather Dimarzio, no age or address listed, was cited for speed following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at mile post 4 at 11:42 p.m. Aug. 13.

- Katelyn Wright, no age or address listed, was cited for loud exhaust following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at 12:48 a.m. Aug. 13.

- Heather Gilchrist, no age or address listed, was cited for speed following a traffic stop onstate Route 7 at 12:26 a.m. Aug. 13.

- Caleb Rachocki, no age or address listed, was cited for speed following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at mile post 4 at 12:11 a.m. Aug. 13.

- Richard Vest, no age or address listed, was cited for no license plate, expired registration and no operator's license following a traffic stop on state Route 7 near Shadyside at 12:46 a.m. Aug. 13.

- David Jackson, no age or address listed, was cited for expired license and illegal plates following a traffic stop on Kountz Avenue at state Route 7 at 11:27 Aug. 12.

- An officer responded to the 2600 block of Connell Street at 5:44 p.m. Aug. 11 in reference to a one-vehicle crash in which the vehicle was removed from the ditch. Officers responded to the area at 8:12 p.m. where the driver, Tracy Lynn Beebout, 62, no address listed, had allegedly been driving through yards with children as passengers. Beebout was charged with reckless operation on private property and expired plates.

- Colton Lee Wade, 40, East Liverpool, was charged with a protection order violation after officers responded to the 20000 block of Macrum Street, East Liverpool, in reference to him being at the home.

- Jaime Anne Rickerd, 39, East Liverpool, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after officers responded to 800 block of Seventh Avenue at 1:13 a.m. Aug. 10 where she had an active warrant for her arrest.
