-- A deputy at 7:59 p.m. Sunday returned a call to a Center Township resident on Grant Street regarding a civil matter, advising them how to proceed and to call if any more issues arose.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 12:51 a.m. Saturday at a Church Street property in Salineville where deputies were met by both parties, who advised everything was verbal. Deputies were advised the parties would be civil and separate for the night.
-- A deputy responded at 9:03 p.m. July 30 to Martha Street, St. Clair Township, to assist St. Clair Township Police in contacting a person involved in a crash. The deputy made contact with the person, who was advised to call St. Clair police and advise them what occurred
-- Neighbor issues were reported at 6:54 p.m. July 30 on Forbes Road, Yellow Creek Township, with the caller advised how to proceed.
Salem
-- A domestic dispute was reported in the 400 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday. Officers spoke with both parties and were advised that there had been an argument over how much money is being spent monthly on pop. Both parties agreed to stay separated for the night.
-- A theft was reported in the 400 block of East State Street at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised their bike had been stolen, and officers advised them that they would be notified if the bike was located.
-- A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Fairview Avenue and Merle Road at 9:36 p.m. Tuesday. Officers located the vehicle in question and spoke with the driver, who advised they were searching for a lost dog.
-- Harassment was reported in the 800 block of West Perry Street at 4:13 p.m. Tuesday. Officers advised the person in question to cease all further calling and texting to three people, and they persisted in doing so within minutes. Officers spoke with the other parties and advised them that if they wanted to pursue charges in any future incident, they could do so.
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:33 a.m. Tuesday. Officers checked the area but did not locate anything unusual.
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 2800 block of East State Street at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised multiple people were acting suspiciously around a closed business. Officers checked the business and found no signs of forced entry.
-- Officers on patrol in the 800 block of North Union Avenue at 11:44 p.m. Monday observed a person with an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the person, Hope Hunter, homeless, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail to await pickup from Portage County.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 8:10 p.m. Monday regarding an ongoing neighbor dispute over noise and other issues. Officers advised them to call back if there were any issues so officers could handle it accordingly.
-- A possible overdose was reported in the 1400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:07 p.m. Monday. The person in question admitted to taking more prescription medication than was needed and was transported by EMT.
-- A juvenile complaint was reported in the 1400 block of Maple Street at 7:39 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that two juveniles were riding e-bikes through the pavilion at the park while playing loud music and using foul language. The juvenile left the area prior to officers' arrival but were located several blocks away. They were advised of the complaint and to stay out of the park for the evening.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a passenger who had an outstanding warrant in the area of Vine Avenue and East Third Street at 5:08 p.m. Monday. The passenger, Megan Ripley, 32, Salem, was taken into custody and during a search incident to arrest contraband was located on their person. Ripley was transported to the Columbiana County Jail on the warrant and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.
-- A noise complaint was reported in the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 4:41 p.m. Monday. Officers spoke with an intoxicated person and advised them to return to their residence for the evening.
-- Officers spoke with a person by phone at 4:06 p.m. Monday who advised that an ex had come to their home and taken their dog. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they had not been to the caller's residence that day.
