-- A juvenile problem was reported in the 100 block of South Union Avenue at 1:20 a.m. Monday. The caller advised that their son was not home and that they believed they had snuck out. The mother later called the juvenile and they returned home.
-- Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of Continental Drive at 10:41 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that their window was rattling. Officers checked the area and observed nothing suspicious.
-- A dispute was reported in the 500 block of Walnut Street at 9:03 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised their brother was getting in his sister's face. Officers spoke with all parties and advised them to separate for the night.
-- A reckless driver was reported in the area of South Lundy Avenue and East State Street at 7:31 p.m. Sunday. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue and the driver, Moise Jose, 34, Salem, initially denied driving or owning the vehicle. Following standard filed sobriety tests Jose was placed in custody charged with OVI, no operator's license, and obstruction of official business and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- A runaway juvenile was reported in the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 4:48 p.m. Sunday. Officers checked possible locations of the juvenile but were unable to locate them. The juvenile was entered into NCIC as a runaway.
-- Theft was reported in the 500 block of Walnut Street at 3:35 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that a man had walked into his residence and stolen his cell phone. Officers spoke with the person in question who denied the allegations and confirmed that he did not have the phone in his possession. The caller was advised of officers' findings.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department regarding an animal complaint at 1:13 p.m. Sunday. The caller advised that their neighbor's dog had been coming into his yard off leash every day. Officers attempted to contact the neighbor but were unable to do so.
-- A domestic dispute was reported in the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 7:14 a.m. Sunday. Officers spoke with both parties and advised them to remain separated for the time being.
-- Deven Neal, 28, Salem, was cited for OVI and no operator's license after he was observed entering his vehicle intoxicated in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue and driving northbound at 3:05 a.m. Sunday.
-- A dispute that could potentially turn into a fight was reported in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 2:04 a.m. Sunday. Officers advised the person in question to leave the premises and stood by until their ride arrived.
-- A fight was reported in the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 12:28 a.m. Sunday. The fight had already been broken up when officers arrived, and both parties declined to pursue the matter legally.
-- Ariel Durham, 37, Salem, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail charged with criminal trespass for returning to a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue she had been trespassed from earlier in the evening at 11:38 p.m. Saturday.
-- Shane LaFlame, Ravenna, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail charged with criminal trespass for returning to a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue he had been trespassed from earlier in the evening at 11:31 p.m. Saturday.
-- A person to be removed was reported at a business in the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:11 p.m. Saturday. The person in question was trespassed from the business and a neighboring business and sent on their way.
-- Officers checked on a man sitting on the side of the road in the area of Mullins Street at 10:51 p.m. Saturday. The person advised that they could not walk far due to a medical issue, and officers gave them a ride back to their residence.
-- An assault was reported at a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:52 p.m. Saturday. The manager advised that the day prior a person who had been trespassed from the property assaulted someone in the business' parking lot. Officers obtained video of the incident and a statement from the employee. The matter is still under investigation.
-- A backpack was reported stolen in the 300 block of Penn Avenue at 7:48 p.m. Saturday. The backpack was turned in by a third party later in the evening, and the caller advised that they still wanted to pursue charges if the suspect could be identified.
-- An ongoing neighbor dispute was reported in the 500 block of Walnut Street at 7:32 p.m. Saturday. Officers advised both halves of the dispute to have no further contact with each other, and that if there were any further disturbances, they would be arrested.
-- Officers conducted a wellness check on a person potentially under the influence of a narcotic at a business in the 200 block of Cunningham Road at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. Officers spoke with the person in question, who admitted to ingesting an illegal substance and advised they were attempting to ride out the symptoms. The fire department and EMT checked on the man, but he ultimately refused further medical attention.
-- A neighbor dispute was reported in the 500 block Walnut Street at 6:18 p.m. Saturday. The caller advised that the neighbor had entered their property intoxicated and was threatening people. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they had an issue with one of the men at the residence and that they had exchanged words. Officers advised them to stay away from the property and leave them alone.
East Liverpool
-- Officers responding to a report of suicidal threats at the Vista Motel on July 14 spoke with a female who said she was not suicidal and refused medical treatment. The female told officers she was homeless and they provided were possible resources to use that could help her.
-- Officers conducted a welfare check at an Ambrose Street residence on July 14 after being told that a female called the police department requesting an ambulance for medical assistance and could be heard screaming over the phone. When officers arrived at the residence they spoke with the female who told them she was screaming as a reaction to her roommate punching the wall and injuring his hand. She also told officers the roommate left on foot to go to the city hospital for treatment.
-- Officers conducted a welfare check on a female at her Anderson Boulevard apartment on July 14 after her brother called to say that he had not heard from her in five days and she did not show up for work the night before. Police used forced entry to get into the apartment where they found the female deceased.
-- Dreyvan Walton, 29, was taken into custody and charged with failure to comply with an order or signal from a police officer and no driver's license after leading police on a pursuit at speed reaching 125 mph on state Route 7 on July 14. Walton told officers he fled when they tried to conduct a traffic stop on him on West 8th Street for speed and unable to read the registration, that he fled because he has an outstanding warrant in Columbiana County.
-- Michael Dodajlo was issued a citation for expired registration during a July 14 traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue. The vehicle was towed by First Class Towing.
-- An officer on patrol on July 14 saw Robert Davis standing near his car at the Mainland Gas Station on Pennsylvania Avenue and ran him through LEADS to see if he had any active warrants. When it came back that there was a warrant for him, the officer pulled into the gas station behind Davis's car, Davis took off on foot leaving his car with the keys in the ignition. The officer pursued Davis in his patrol car but lost sight of him. The officer requested First Class Towing and began to inventory the vehicle before the car was towed.
-- An officer investigated a portion of Pennsylvania Avenue on July 14 after receiving a report of suspicious activity and found a male messing with an air conditioning unit. The male, identified as Christopher Thomas, 41, told the officer he was charging his phone using an outlet next to the unit. Thomas was discovered to have an active warrant and was arrested for it.
-- A juvenile was transported to Tobin Center on July 15 after making threats to her mother that she was going to kill her.
-- An officer spoke with the owner of the property where AFK Gaming is located on July 15 about the increase in activity outside the establishment after speaking with the business owner who said there was a problem with people drinking alcohol there and has had complaints from customers someone passed out drunk. The business has no loitering signs posted. After speaking with the property owner and the business owner, they both gave permission to officers to trespass and charge anyone who continues loitering there.
-- Officers investigated a report of someone in a Fisher Avenue residence who wasn't supposed to be on July 15. Upon arrival at the residence officers found a female inside who said she was allowed to be there. Officers verified with the mother of the owner that she was allowed to be there.
-- Officers investigating a possible domestic situation at a Wilber Avenue residence on July 15 spoke to the male and female involved who both said it was just a verbal argument. The male left the residence to calm down.
-- At the request of the safety service director and officer went to Anderson Boulevard near Orchard Grove for a blue Ford Escape that keeps moving the road closed signs and driving through the construction zone. Workers were unable to get a license plate number.
-- Timothy Gibbs, 38, was arrested for an outstanding warrant on July 15 after an officer stopped to talk to him because he matched the description of a subject that was reported to be seen near Nikki's Lounge which is where the officer was heading to investigate an alarm.
-- Officers responding to a custody dispute at a Vine Street residence on July 15 told the children's' grandmother that she could not prevent their father who is the legal guardian from taking the children. The daughter said she did not want to go with her father, but with her mom not home she had to go with her dad.
-- Ryan Ostrander, 37, was taken into custody and charged with persistent disorderly conduct on July 15 after police were called to a Heights Manor residence after his girlfriend called to report that he was drunk and keeping her the kids up. The officer noted that Ostrander appeared to be severely intoxicated and had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Ostrander became erratic with officers and started being aggressive and loud.
-- Officers investigating a noise complaint of power tools and hammering come from a Thompson Avenue residence on July 15, found two males at the residence who said they were building a deck. The officer advised them of the noise complaint, and they said they were done for the remainder of the morning.
-- After checking on a male sleeping on the steps of a Dresden Avenue business on July 15 and finding out he was okay the officers advised him to get his belongings and be on his way.
