-- A dispute was reported in the 200 block of Jennings Avenue at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday. The caller advised that they had been in a verbal argument with the other party and told them to leave.
-- A distraught person was reported in the 500 block of East Third Street at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday. It was determined that one of the parties involved believed that someone in the residence had their cell phone. The woman was advised to leave the area and did so.
-- Criminal damaging was reported in the 400 block of East School Street at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday. The caller advised that sometime overnight someone had damaged bricks on their porch, put a hole in the porch floor, and threw a cooking grill into the yard. The damage was documented.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday regarding possible fraud. The person advised that they had been contacted by a collection company regarding a bill from someone using their information without their knowledge. Officers advised them of their options.
-- Children yelling were reported in the 400 block of West Pershing Street at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the children, and they advised they would keep the noise down for the night.
-- Officers spoke with a person in the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday who advised that their inhaler had been taken by a roommate. The caller was given a new inhaler and there were no further issues.
-- A juvenile problem was reported in the 800 block of Highland Avenue at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that their juvenile daughter was experiencing a mental episode and had locked themselves in the bathroom. The fire department responded to open the door with a spreader but were unable to gain entry due to the size of the deadbolt. The caller gave permission for the door to be damaged to gain entry and ensure the safety of the juvenile, and a sledgehammer was used to break into the bathroom. The juvenile was checked by their family, and the fire department and further medical treatment was declined.
-- A neighbor dispute was reported in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that their neighbor had been letting their dog outside without a leash. Officers spoke with the neighbor and advised them of the leash laws in the city.
-- A person experiencing potential mental health issues was reported in the 600 block of Woodland Avenue at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the man, who agreed to receive medical treatment and was transported to an appropriate medical facility for further evaluation by EMT.
-- A shoplifter was reported in the 2800 block of East State Street at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday. The woman involved left the area prior to the officers' arrival and the incident is pending investigation.
-- Officers spoke with a person in the 100 block of Vine Avenue at 2:51 p.m. Tuesday regarding an issue with their living arrangements. The caller requested officers document the matter in case there were any future issues.
-- A domestic dispute was reported in the 600 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised they'd been in a verbal dispute with their spouse and asked officers to speak with them. When officers arrived, they found that the person in question had left the residence through a second-floor window. The caller was advised to contact officers when they returned.
-- A domestic dispute was reported in the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday. The altercation was determined to be verbal only and the male half had left the residence for the time being prior to officers' arrival.
