Sheriff's Office
- A deputy responded to South Grant Street at 7:04 p.m. July 23 in reference to a pig roaming in the roadway abandoned by its previous owner. The deputy had a humane officer respond to take the pig.
- A Mississippi resident reported at 6:05 p.m. July 23 a friend had posted on Facebook she was going to commit suicide at the East Carmel Cemetery in Middleton Township. A deputy checked the cemetery with negative contact. The phone of the person in question pinged to a location in Asheville, North Carolina, and the deputy contacted that police department.
- A Grant Street, Center Township, resident reported at 3:58 p.m. July 23, reported the strap that was holding her outdoor camera to a tree was cut off and the camera fell to the ground
- A Yellow Creek Township resident reported at 3:52 p.m. July 23 the mother of his son came to his residence the previous night while he was at work. He said the mother is not permitted to be on his property, but continues to harass him over his underage niece watching their son while he works over night. He was advised to contact his attorney.
Columbiana
- Officers assisted the Columbiana and Beaver Township fire departments with a fire at a Village Court residence at 5:50 p.m. July 15.
- Officers responded to Heartland Christian School at 9:09 p.m. July 14 to assist the sheriff's office with a medical call. The patient was transported by Columbiana EMS.
- A woman reported at 2:39 p.m. July 13 a dispute over property. The officer provided options.
- An Apache Lane resident reported at 1:37 p.m. July 13 the theft of medication.
St. Clair Township
- An officer investigated a complaint of an impaired driver by conducting a traffic stop on the reported vehicle on St. Clair Avenue on July 12. During the stop the officer spoke with a female who said she had previously been involved in an ATV accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury which affects her speech and with certain lights affecting her eyes while driving and she had seen several deer on her way to Sheetz and was driving more cautiously. The officer did not detect the odor of alcohol or observe and indicators of consistent with alcohol and noted that the driver's speech and mannerism appeared consistent with the medical condition she described and released the driver with a verbal warning.
- An officer spoke to a driver who was reported to be sleeping in his car at a gas pump at Sheetz on July 13 and was told by the driver that he was door dashing and didn't want to go home due to arguing with his girlfriend and didn't want to go to his mother's house. He said he was just really tired. The officer checked the driver's eyes and noted no odor or an alcoholic beverage or marijuana coming from the vehicle or him and advised him he could not sleep at Sheetz and if he was too tired to drive to go another parking lot and rest.
- Officers went to a Fisher Avenue residence on July 14 where they issued Ryan Smith an updated citation for a Feb. 5 incident and an up-to-date BMV 2255 form from his OVI suspension. The officers told Smith his driver's license was suspended from that moment for 90 days due to not having any prior OVI suspensions and that he could appeal the suspension through the court and was given a court date of Aug. 8.
