-- A woman on Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township, reported at 10:20 p.m. Saturday that her neighbor is targeting her by revving his engines on his property, with this an ongoing issue.
-- A man on Georgetown Road, Knox Township, reported at 5:56 p.m. Saturday that his neighbor set off a cannon which shook his residence, with the incident an ongoing issue. A deputy attempted to make contact with the neighbor unsuccessfully.
-- A woman from state Route 172, Hanover Township reported at 5:25 p.m. Friday that she was in the drive-thru at Dunkin' Donuts, state Route 45, Center Township when the back of her vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by a woman from Nittany Drive, Summitville. She said they exchanged information, but she wanted a report on file.
-- A Spark driver and passenger reported at 7:01 p.m. Thursday that they were threatened while attempting to deliver a Walmart order to a residence in Deer Run Mobile Home Park, Salem Alliance Road, Butler Township, by a woman in a vehicle. Upon arrival of a deputy, the Spark driver made the delivery and left the property. The deputy spoke with mobile home park management, who said they received complaints from residents that the Spark driver was driving too fast on the property.
-- A resident on Kelly Park Road, Fairfield Township, reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday that a person was trespassing on his property and he was with the person. Justin L. Rydarowicz, 24, Washington Street, Salem, was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass, then taken to the county jail. He already made an appearance in Columbiana County Municipal Court.
-- A woman on state Route 644, Hanover Township reported at 1:29 p.m. Thursday that a man from Hanover Township was served with a court order that he was evicted from the property but he keeps sending text messages that he's going to return there.
-- A woman from Lisa Lane, Center Township reported at 10:32 p.m. July 15 that her neighbor on Shady Lane, Center Township, was letting off fireworks and when she told a group of people on the property to stop, they started yelling at her and a man on her property. A deputy spoke with the neighbor, who said the woman and man were yelling at them. He was advised of the Ohio fireworks laws and all parties were advised to have no contact with each other.
-- A woman on Givens Road, Madison Township called at 9:16 p.m. July 15 to report her son was assaulted at his residence on state Route 518, Franklin Township, by two people. Upon arrival of a deputy, multiple people were at the residence. The son said he was pushed by another man. Both of them declined to press charges.
-- A welfare check or check of a residence was requested at 12:07 a.m. June 27 on state Route 45, Madison Township where the caller wanted deputies to check for a person who had assaulted her the previous week and she learned he got out of jail that day. She believed he may try to return to the apartment. A deputy checked around the apartment complex and did not locate the person. Deputies checked the area when available throughout the night and did not locate anyone.
-- Deputies were called at 1:56 a.m. June 26 to Hazel Run Road near an area called Little Falls where a woman said she was camping with her young daughter and they heard someone outside of their tent. While deputies were en route, she called again and advised there were several bears outside of their tent, not people. While en route, deputies learned the caller had several felony arrest warrants. Deputies were checking the area and came upon another group of people, found one of those people had a felony warrant, and took Dominic Crooms, 27, Summit Drive, Salineville into custody. Deputies located the woman and her daughter and there was no evidence of any bears in the area. Heather Renee Joy, 37, Grimms Bridge Road, East Liverpool, was taken into custody for her warrants and the daughter was held by a deputy until a family member could arrive.
Highway Patrol
-- Richard D. Chludzinski, 52, Houtzdale, Pa., suffered a suspected serious injury and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown by Negley EMS after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding across a bridge on Mill Rock Road and falling over at 6:24 p.m. July 18 in Middleton Township. No citation was listed on the report.
-- Marcus Andrea Dixon, 43, Nathez, Miss., was cited for improper backing after backing a truck out of a private drive and striking a mailbox at 2:31 p.m. July 16 in Middleton Township. No injury was reported.
-- Shawn B. Mayfield, 20, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign on County Home Road to turn left onto U.S. Route 30 and failing to yield, striking an eastbound vehicle driven by Mark S. Enczur, 50, Northfield, on U.S. Route 30 at 1:05 p.m. July 16 in Center Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Jessica J. Lockwood, 39, Chris Avenue, Washingtonville, was cited for assured clear distance after her eastbound vehicle on Miller Road crested a hill and struck the rear of a garbage truck driven by Ashlee Heaton, 36, Laughlin Road, Lisbon, who was stopped to make a trash pickup at 12:27 p.m. July 16 in Salem Township. Neither driver nor their passengers were injured.
-- No citation was issued after a hit/skip at 1:46 p.m. July 15 on Metz Road in Fairfield Township when an unknown vehicle with an unknown driver and a semi driven by Mitchell D. Zimmerman, 29, New London, were both eastbound and the semi made a right turn onto Lower Elkton Road and struck the other vehicle, but the other vehicle continued on and didn't stop. No injury was reported.
-- Breanna Knight, 24, Spruce Street, Columbiana, was cited for reasonable control after the southeastbound vehicle she was driving on state Route 46 crossed the center line, went back and went off the right side of the road, striking a ditch at 12:48 a.m. July 13 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
Salem
-- A possible assault was reported in the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 8:05 p.m. Sunday. Officers were advised by medical staff that the man in question suffers from a mental handicap and was throwing furniture around his room. He was transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation.
-- Criminal damage to a motor vehicle was reported in the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 4:16 p.m. Sunday. Officers took photos of the damage and potential charges pending review of security camera footage.
-- A dispute between juveniles was reported in the 800 block of East School Drive at 2:33 p.m. Sunday. Officers spoke with both juveniles and were advised of ongoing issues between them. Everyone involved was advised to stop talking to each other.
-- A suspicious object was reported in the 800 block of East Third Street at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. Officers found a crossbow bolt stuck into the ground upright. Officers took the arrow and disposed of it.
-- A suspicious person was reported in the 500 block of Walnut Street at 1:13 p.m. Sunday. Officers were familiar with the person in question, who appeared to be fine and were gathering a few belongings that they had left at a nearby residence.
-- Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with an investigation in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 4:10 a.m. Sunday. Officers collected a statement from the victim and all relevant information, and charges are pending for a man whose name was not listed.
