-- Travis Swinehart, 32, Columbiana, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office at 11:11 a.m. July 11.
-- Officers assisted a woman having a medical emergency in the 100 block of North Main Street at 2:48 p.m. July 9.
-- Michael C. Rapp, 46, Columbiana, was arrested at 7:21 a.m. July 9 in the first block of West Salem Street on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
Salem
-- Michael P. Mckenzie Jr., Salem, was charged with two counts of OVI and a marked lanes violation following a traffic stop in the area of East Pershing Street and Woodland Avenue at 11:37 p.m. Saturday.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 10:05 p.m. Saturday where a juvenile reported two other juveniles had stolen their bookbag. The complainant said they spoke with the juvenile who took the bag and that juvenile said they were bringing it back. The two juveniles involved in taking the bag were trespassed from the property and the report will be turned over to the juvenile officer for investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 11:27 a.m. Saturday to assist the fire department on a medical call. Officers observed the person to be living in poor conditions and the matter will be referred to adult protective services. The person was transported to an appropriate medical facility for further evaluation.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Fair Avenue at 11:11 p.m. Friday in reference to one-vehicle crash in which the driver suffered a medical emergency and struck a parked vehicle. The driver was transported by ambulance to the hospital. No citation was issued.
-- Skylar T. McGee, 23, Struthers, was charged with two counts of OVI and endangering children following a traffic stop on North Lincoln Avenue at F.E. Cope Drive at 8:21 p.m. Friday in which she was found to be intoxicated and had a small juvenile in the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 6:07 p.m. Friday in reference to a person with a long gun near a medical facility. Officers checked the area inside and out, but found no one matching the description.
-- An officer responded to the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and West State Street at 2:14 p.m. Friday in which a semi truck struck a fire hydrant while making a righthand turn. The water department was contacted to repair the hydrant. The officer checked the area for the semi, but was unable to find it.
-- An officer responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 12:22 p.m. Friday in reference to a dog left inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The officer found the dog inside the vehicle that was shut off and had all the windows closed. The officer spoke with the owner, who was not identified in the report and who will be charged with cruelty to animals. The dog was in good health and stayed with the owner.
-- A Cleveland Street resident reported possible child neglect at 10:14 a.m. Friday. The matter is under investigation.
-- Officers responded to a 1300 block Allen Road business at 8:31 a.m. Friday in reference to someone who had been fired that morning excessively calling the business and the cell phone of one of the managers. The person in question called the business while officers were there. An officer warned the person charges could be filed. The complainant wished to proceed with charges.
