Highway Patrol
— Logan C. Lisk, 20, Rainbow Road, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to yield after his westbound vehicle on state Route 558 struck a southbound vehicle on state Route 164 driven by Christopher Hamilton, 52, Timberline Drive, Columbiana, causing it to go off the road and strike a traffic sign at 3:42 p.m. June 30 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
— Lloyd R. Blackburn, 58, Carrollton, was cited for reasonable control after his southbound semi truck went off of state Route 558, struck an embankment and overturned at 2:31 p.m. June 29 in Salem Township. No injury was reported.
— Chelsea J. Lease, 36, Slater Road, Salem, was cited for a stop sign violation after her westbound vehicle on Buck Road traveled through the intersection and was struck by a northbound vehicle on Westville Lake Road driven by Timothy Coffee, 71, Whinnery Road, Winona at 3:52 p.m. June 27 in Knox Township. No injuries were reported.
— Sarah E. May, 23, North Union Avenue, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after her northbound vehicle traveled off of Macklin Road and struck a mailbox at 10:41 p.m. June 19 in Unity Township. No injury was reported.
— A 17-year-old Columbiana girl was cited for assured clear distance ahead after her northbound vehicle on state Route 7 struck the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by Nicholas W. Usis, 20, Lisbon Road, Salem, and pushed it into the rear a northbound vehicle driven by Keith Bacon, 72, Lisbon Dungannon Road, Lisbon at 12:15 p.m. June 19 in Fairfield Township. The girl suffered a suspected minor injury, but wasn’t transported. No other injuries were reported.
— Richard M. Adney, 68, Glasgow Road, Wellsville, suffered a suspected serious injury and was transported to Mercy Health, Youngstown by West Point EMS after his eastbound vehicle went off the right side of U.S. Route 30 and struck a traffic sign and a tree at 3:14 p.m. June 17 in Madison Township. His passenger, Doris Adney, 68, Glasgow Road, Wellsville, suffered a suspected minor injury and was taken by NorthStar to Mercy Health, Youngstown. No citation was listed on the report.
— Kameron D. Dykus, 18, Sandy Spring Road, Minerva, was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle left a private drive and struck a northbound vehicle on Sandy Springs Road driven by Jerry Cartwright, 58, Mercury Drive, Wellsville, ran off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox at 5:39 p.m. June 16. No injuries were reported.
Columbiana
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Fairfield Avenue at 3:44 p.m. June 25 in reference to a dog bite. All information was gathered at turned over to the dog warden.
Lisbon
— A caller reported at 3:17 p.m. June 24 a scam took place involving her Apple account. The caller reported two separate transactions of $800, totaling $1,600 on May 29.
— Chad J. Slagle, 55, Salem, was cited for OVI, OVI within 20 years, driving under suspension and marked lanes following a traffic on East Lincoln Way near East Park Way at 10:43 p.m. June 20.
Leetonia
— Patricia Exline, no age or address listed, was charged with marked lanes, open container, OVI (impaired) and OVI (prohibited concentration) following a traffic stop on state Route 11 at 2:15 a.m. June 27.
— An officer responded to the 100 block of Summit Street at 5:04 p.m. June 27 in reference to a dog bite and found a large wound to the victim’s right leg. The victim said he had been riding a bicycle in the area when the unknown dog had lunged at his leg. The victim was unable to provide a residence from which the dog came or returned. The victim refused transport to a hospital.
Salem
— A domestic dispute between a juvenile and their parent was reported in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday. Officers found that the situation was not domestic violence and that instead the parent had disciplined their child, prompting the juvenile to call the police.
— Juveniles riding e-bikes recklessly were reported in the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and East State Street at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday. Officers located the juveniles and advised them of the complaint and the proper way to ride their bikes.
— Criminal damage to a residence in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:53 p.m. Wednesday. The caller advised that someone known to them had thrown a container of battery acid at his residence, which had broken a window. Officers took statements, and the information will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
— Criminal trespassing was reported in the 500 block of East Third Street at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday. Officers determined that the person had only been trespassed from the caller’s apartment, and not the home they had actually entered.
— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday regarding a person following them. They advised that they just wanted the matter documented for the time being. Officers advised them to contact the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Department if the person in question showed up at their residence outside city limits.
— Theft was reported in the 700 block of West State Street at 6:33 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that someone had broken the lock on a used cooking oil container, and they needed a report.
— A dumpster fire was observed in the 2300 block of East State Street at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday. The fire department was notified and extinguished the fire.
— Officers spoke with a person at Centennial Park at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday about a person whose activities were potentially in violation of the law. Officers advised them that there did not appear to be any violations in the described behavior, but that further research would be conducted to confirm.
— An ambulance was requested in the 500 block of Franklin Street at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that a juvenile’s arm had gone through a glass door during an argument with their parent. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
— A suspicious person was reported coming onto the property of a business in the 900 block of West State Street and asking for money repeatedly at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the man in question and advised them to stay off the property at the caller’s request.
Perry Township
— An intoxicated woman requested officers review footage from a body camera she wears around her residence at 9:35 p.m. Sunday. The footage showed the woman acting as the aggressor in a previously reported dispute with her husband.
— Officers spoke with a man at the police department regarding a domestic altercation at 8:25 p.m. Sunday. The man advised his wife had attempted to mess with his new vehicle and had attempted to push by him when he stood in her path to stop her, and requested the matter be documented for his attorney.
— Trisha Rogers, 50, Salem, was cited for a marked lanes violation after her vehicle made an improper left turn onto West Pigeon Road, striking a vehicle driven by Jonathan Fortney, 32, Salem, at 1:33 p.m. Friday.
