Sheriff’s Office

— A woman from Akron called at 2:04 p.m. Thursday to report her 92-year-old relative from Madison Township needs her driver’s license revoked. She was told the process.

— A woman on Neeld Road, Unity Township reported at 2:06 p.m. Thursday that her neighbor’s donkey was loose and on her property again.

— An anonymous caller at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday reported the location of a wanted man. Robert T. Manypenny, 43, state Route 164, Lisbon, was found at his residence and taken into custody and taken to jail. He was served with a secret indictment for fifth-degree felony possession of a fentanyl-related compound and misdemeanor possession of drugs for allegedly possessing fentanyl and xylazine on Oct. 4, 2023.

— A man who was refusing to return a Sell Road, Center Township woman’s vehicle on Wednesday told a deputy who contacted him via phone that he would be returning the truck Thursday morning.

Perry Township

— Officers responded to the 800 block of Main Street at 5:23 p.m. Monday for a report of illegal dumping. Items were left in the woods near the 800 block of Main Street. The caller wanted the incident documented.

— Officers located a downed deer in the middle of the U.S. Route 62 interchange at 5:11 a.m. Monday. Officers were able to remove the animal.

— Officers observed a vehicle leaving Cliff Drive from a known drug location at 4:34 p.m. April 12 commit a moving violation and conducted a traffic stop. A Salem K-9 officer responded for an open-air sniff and indicated to the odor of narcotics. Officers conducted a probable cause search and found unused paraphernalia. The driver, whose name was not listed, was given a citation for a lanes violation and released.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of state Route 9 at 3:37 a.m. April 12 to assist EMT and the fire department in securing a landing zone for Stat Medevac.

— Officers responded to a business in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 2:31 a.m. April 12 for a reported fight in the parking lot. Officers assisted in separating all parties.

— Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:43 p.m. April 11 located a suspicious vehicle at a closed business. Officers spoke with the owner, who advised that they were just talking.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Benton Road at 11:39 a.m. April 11 for a report of two people fighting in the roadway. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate any signs of a fight. Everything appeared to be okay.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 9:57 a.m. April 11 who advised they were contacted by an unknown man that had her download an app which gave them access to her phone, and they then had her log into her bank account. Officers advised them to delete the app immediately and contact her bank

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 6:27 p.m. April 10 who advised they had given keys to their residence to someone who no longer lived with them and wanted them back. Officers spoke with both parties, and arrangements will be made for the keys to be returned.

Liverpool Township

— Jena Smith, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and a court date for an expired registration during an April 5 traffic stop on Parkway Avenue.

— A female called police on April 5 to say she struck a mailbox on Parkway Avenue somewhere between Country Club and Thompson Park and she continued driving to church. She said her son picked the car up and drove it around to make sure it was safe for her to drive home later and then left the car at Walmart. The officer found the residence with the damage mailbox and told the resident what happened, then went to the church to speak with the female and get her identification and insurance information before going to Walmart to get photos of the car. She was then told what she needs to do to get a copy of the report and information was given to CCSO dispatch.

— Jeff Meredith, age and address not provided, was issued citations and a court date for his headlight being out and no license during an April 6 traffic stop on state Route 7. A licensed driver picked up the vehicle.
