— Officers responded to the 700 block of Summit Street at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised their brother and daughter were threatening to harm her and her daughter had a warrant for her arrest. The brother, William Hively Jr., 55, Salem, was arrested for domestic violence and the daughter, Amanda Pedro, 36, Salem, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant. Both were transported to the police department for processing and later transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers on patrol in the 400 block of East State Street at 8 p.m. Tuesday for a reported protection order violation. Thomas Welsh Jr., 40, Salem, was standing outside of the protected person’s vehicle while they were loading their daughter inside the vehicle. Welsh advised he did not know it was them, and the caller advised officers they were inside Kast Iron Soda Works together. Officers took Welsh into custody and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 7:16 p.m. Tuesday for a reported 911 hang-up-call. Officers spoke with the man in question, and everything checked OK.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question, and he advised that he was OK and was just sleeping.
