Sheriff’s Office
— A man on Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township, reported at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday that unknown people are continuously pounding on his doors and windows at his residence.
— A man on Foundry Hill Road, Franklin Township, reported at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday that he has emergency custody of his child and the mother was sending him harassing and threatening text messages.
— Deputies were dispatched at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday to Center Avenue, Center Township, for a person making suicidal threats. EMT Ambulance transported the person to a hospital in Mahoning County.
— Deputies were dispatched at 11:48 p.m. Saturday to Sell Road, Center Township, for a domestic violence report between a man and his live-in girlfriend, who left on foot prior to deputies arriving. The man signed a refusal. Another man, who the first man and his girlfriend live with, said the woman caused damage to the wall and door inside the residence. A warrant for criminal damaging was issued for the woman out of Columbiana County Municipal Court.
— Deputies responded at 4:34 a.m. Saturday to a fight call in Damascus on U.S. Route 62. Goshen Township police officers arrived before deputies and then worked with deputies on the investigation, with all learning there was a simple assault between two men. Damascus Fire responded to check one of the men, who had a few lacerations on his face. All parties involved were allegedly intoxicated and advised they did not want to press charges. None were witnessed driving. They signed refusals to cooperate and were given courtesy rides home. One vehicle was parked by a deputy in the Damascus Friends Church parking lot to be picked up later in the day.
Lisbon
— The K-9 officer was dispatched to assist sheriff’s deputies with attempting to locate a fleeing suspect shortly before 1 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 6600 block of state Route 170 in East Palestine.
— Police responded at 6:52 p.m. March 1 to Smith Oil for a report of a possible counterfeit $20 bill.
— An officer provided mutual aid to the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop within the village at 12:42 a.m. Feb. 28.
— Police responded at 9:38 p.m. Feb. 28 to a downtown restaurant for a 911 hang-up call, found everything was okay and cleared.
— Officers investigated a noise disturbance at 9:57 p.m. Feb. 27 in the 400 block of West Washington, which had been reported as juveniles threatening each other. Upon arrival, there was no sign of the juveniles.
— An unidentified man reported at 12:57 a.m. March 3 that he was approached by a suspicious person driving a “greenish, brownish, grayish dark colored truck” that offered him a ride. He provided a partial license plate and a report was put on file.
— A resident in the 100 block of South Green Street trespassed four people from his address. All parties were notified shortly after 3:52 p.m. March 1.
Salem
— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday about her adult daughter, who had recently had issues with an ex-boyfriend. The woman was looking for her daughter in the area, and the daughter had last been seen at a local restaurant. The daughter was located and agreed to ride home with her mother for the night.
— Officers responded to a business in the 1800 block of East State Street at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers spoke with all parties involved and found that it was just juveniles messing around.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of West School Street at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. There was a language barrier with the caller and after getting assistance to interpret, it was determined that the caller and her husband had gotten into an argument and he took her money from her, and she requested a standby while she collected some belongings for the night. Officers stood by while she did so, and she was given a courtesy transport to a local hotel for the night.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Fairview Court at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to check for a person for the Perry Township Police Department. The person in question did not live at the given address.
— Hayden Fuson, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after his eastbound vehicle on West Third Street failed to yield and was struck by a vehicle driven northbound on North Ellsworth Avenue by Arthur Foor, Salem, at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday for a report of theft that occurred on Monday. The caller advised that someone had entered the store and taken a scooter that cost $212.36 without paying. The matter will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review
— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday for a reported parking complaint. Officers spoke with the driver, and the vehicle will be moved.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of East Pershing Street at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers located a man working on an ATM machine who was identified and advised of the complaint.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday for a reported drive off. The caller advised that a silver vehicle had pumped $24.11 worth of gas and left without paying. No direction of travel was provided.
