Salem
— Officers responded to the area of West Pershing Street and Sharp Avenue at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday for a report of solicitors. Officers advised them that soliciting was not permitted inside city limits.
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday to check a residence for the Columbiana Police Department. Officers spoke to the resident and found that the person did not live there and advised Columbiana of the same.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Franklin Avenue at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday for a reported water line break. Officers observed two line breaks, and the water department was contacted to respond.
— Officers in the area of North Lundy Avenue and East Third Street spoke with a person in a vehicle at 10:32 p.m. Monday. Officers learned that person in the driver’s seat, Ryan Romigh, Salem, was suspended and in possession of drug paraphernalia, and they were arrested and transported to the Columbiana County Jail charged with driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Franklin Avenue several times Monday for a report of someone pounding on the caller’s door several times and yelling profanity at the caller. Officers spoke with the person in question who denied doing so, and statements were taken from both parties. Officers also collected videos from the caller, and a warrant will be issued for persistent disorderly conduct.
— Officers responded to the area of Butcher Road and South Cunningham Road at 7:07 p.m. Monday for a report of an injured deer in the roadway. Officers located the deer, removed it from the roadway, and euthanized it.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 3:35 p.m. Monday to deliver a message for the Dover Police Department. Officers spoke with the person in question and advised them to call the Dover department.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Cliff Drive at 11:10 p.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a man entered his property, setting their cameras off, and fled when the caller went outside. Officers searched the area.
— Officers responded to the 1600 block of state Route 344 at 5:41 p.m. Dec. 16 for a wellness check on two juveniles. The caller advised that they were out of state, and their children were living with their father, and that when she spoke with the father, he was very upset, and she could no longer reach them. Officers were able to check on the children, who were okay, and were advised of a possible ongoing issue at the residence which will be forwarded to CPS.
— Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 16 located a pallet which had fallen off a truck. Officers are attempting to locate the driver.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 10:48 p.m. Dec. 16 for a reported snowball attack on an apartment over parking issue. Officers spoke with all parties involved and advised them to stop.
— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 15 for a reported scam call. The caller advised that she received a scam call from someone claiming to be the sheriff’s office stating she had a warrant and demanding money from her. She was advised that a report would be on file, and the sheriff’s office was advised of the scam
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Andrew Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Dec. 14 for a reported dispute between two people. Officers spoke with the caregiver who stated that the men were messing with each other until one of them felt it went too far. The caregiver advised that no physical violence occurred, and both subjects separated for the night.
