Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy was dispatched at 6:08 p.m. Sunday to the area of Creek Road, New Waterford for a dirt bike complaint. The area was checked and the deputy did see a dirt bike, but it went into the woods before contact could be made.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported by a resident at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at a property on Harvey Avenue, Center Township, but was not located when deputies patrolled the area.
— A white truck was reported in the ditch on Butler Grange Road near Mountz Road in Butler Township at 6:18 a.m. Friday, but when deputies checked the area in all directions, the vehicle was not found.
— Deputies along with Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers responded at 11:37 p.m. Oct. 6 to Spillway Road, Hanover Township, regarding a mental health call. The caller had an active warrant and was placed in custody. Units then checked the other person, who was found to be in crisis, and stayed with the person until EMS arrived. The person decided to go to the hospital willingly. The caller, whose name was not on the report provided to the media, was transported to the county jail.
Leetonia
— An officer responded at 11:53 a.m. Oct. 11 to the 200 block of Columbia Street, where a washing machine was flooding at a commercial laundromat.
— Police responded at 7 a.m. Oct. 10 to a residence in the 200 block of Oak Street for an alleged disturbance outside the residence and garage. After speaking to the occupant again and double checking again, officers cleared without incident.
— A downed power line was reported at 10:29 p.m. Oct. 9 in the area of state Route 344 and Beeson Mill Road. The vehicle that hit the pole had fled the scene before police arrival.
— Officers responded at around 5:15 p.m. Oct. 11 to the 300 block of Honey Lane, where the property owner reported that his wife’s back windshield had been shattered. He theorized it was flying gravel from a nearby property being mowed.
