Sheriff’s Office

— A deputy responded at 8:09 p.m. Sunday to a residence on state Route 45, Madison Township, to conduct a welfare check and made contact with the person’s relatives upon arrival. The deputy checked the residence and did not make contact with the person, telling the relatives to call if they make contact with the person.

— A welfare check was requested at 4:35 p.m. Sunday on Richardson Street, Middleton Township. Deputies made contact with the people upon arrival and were advised everything was okay.

— A suspicious vehicle was reported sitting in the road for a long period of time in the 22000 block of Mayfair Avenue, West Township at 4:03 p.m. Sept. 4. While deputies were en route, the caller advised the vehicle left the area. Deputies checked and didn’t find the vehicle.

— A deputy at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 3 returned a call regarding animals on Egypt Road, Salem Township, advising the caller how to proceed.

— Deputies were dispatched at 10:08 p.m. Sept. 2 to Valley Road, Butler Township, for a man allegedly making suicidal threats. Deputies spoke with the homeowner, who advised no one by the name in question lives there. Dispatch was unable to call the man back.

— A deputy at 8:09 p.m. Sept. 1 conducted a traffic stop at state Route 154 and Darlington Road, arresting Michael A. Delo, 33, on an out of state warrant and transporting him to jail.

— A deputy responded to the area of Chamberlain Street, Middleton Township, for a complaint at 7:13 p.m. Sept. 1 regarding an ATV. The area was checked, with nothing found.

— A juvenile-related incident was reported at 5:37 p.m. Sept. 1 in the area of Foundry Hill Road, Franklin Township. A deputy spoke with the juvenile and her mother and found everything in good order and advised them to be civil.

— An ATV complaint was reported at 12:29 p.m. Aug. 31 in the area of Madison Drive, Madison Township. The people were contacted at their residence and told to stay off the main roadways.

— A suspicious person was reported at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 28 in the area of Y & O Road, Madison Township. A deputy spoke to all the complainants and checked the property, finding everything in good order.

— A theft was reported at 9:21 p.m. Aug. 28 on Kevin Drive, Knox Township.

— A juvenile-related report from County Airport Road, Madison Township was taken at the station, with the complainant advised how to proceed.

Columbiana

— Police initiated a traffic stop at 10:34 p.m. Aug. 29 with a subject experiencing mental issues near West Park Avenue and Union Street. No other information was available.

— Jonathan Downey, of Columbiana, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 200 block of East Duquesne Street on a warrant for domestic violence out of Springfield Township.

— Officers responded shortly before 10 a.m. Aug. 28 to a possible burglary and stood by as a subject, who had been staying with a friend, retrieved their property and left.

— An officer consulted with a St. Mary’s Alzheimer resident at 8:42 a.m. Aug. 28 regarding a possible theft.

— A female subject residing in the 800 block of Fairfield Avenue reported at 11:12 a.m. Aug. 25 that someone had taken money from her bank account.

— A subject reported at 6:17 a.m. Aug. 25 that a subject had violated a protection order in regards to an ongoing case.

— Columbiana’s Special Response Team (SRT) operator was requested at 11 p.m. Aug. 21 to assist St. Clair Township police with a standoff.

— An unidentified vehicle was reported at 9:49 p.m. Aug. 21 to have struck the Lisbon Street underpass, sustaining minor damage to the roof.

— Officers took a report of theft at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 300 block of Blueberry Drive. Items missing included a furnace, hot water tank, air conditioning unit and copper pipe.

— Jonathan Cook, of Columbiana, was cited at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 100 block of South West Street with driving under suspension.

— Police responded at 11 a.m. Aug. 19 to a private property crash in the 300 block of state Route 14. Earlier reported as an elderly woman driving through Farmers National Bank’s building, it was determined that a tree was struck initially and no damage was done to the bank.

Salem

— Ryan M. Hoschar, 28, Lisbon Road, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant for possession of heroin out of the Goshen Police District following a traffic stop at Butcher and South Cunningham roads at 8:32 p.m. Saturday

— Ryan Douglas Armstrong, 40, Depot Road, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant for criminal mischief after a patrolling officer observed him walking through the police station’s parking lot at 10:35 p.m. Saturday. He had previously been identified on security footage damaging a storage bin outside a 400 block East State Street business at 6:50 p.m. earlier the same day.

— Officers responded to the area of Ohio Avenue and East Pershing Street at 7 p.m. Friday in reference to juveniles harassing an elderly man. Upon arrival, officers learned the elderly man was gone and that there had been a juvenile attempting to make fun of him, but was stopped by other juveniles in the area. No physical harm or threats occurred.
