— Officers responded to the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:18 a.m. Wednesday for multiple 911 hang-up calls.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Eleventh Street at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that vehicle was parked on the road outside his house and sounded like it hit something. Officers spoke with the occupants and observed that the vehicle did not hit anything, The occupants advised that everything was fine and they were just talking.

— Officers on patrol in the area of South Howard Avenue and West Wilson Street at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday observed a man stumbling on the sidewalk. Officers spoke with the man who advised that he was walking home from the bar. Officers gave him a courtesy transport back to his residence.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East State Street at 10:48 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic dispute in a vehicle. Officers located the people in question walking on South Lundy Avenue who advised that they were arguing and nothing physical occurred.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 10:33 p.m. Tuesday about an ongoing domestic situation with her ex-boyfriend. Officers gathered information from the caller and advised them to get a protection order. She was then provided information on how to obtain one.

— Officers located a juvenile involved in a prior call in the area of South Broadway Avenue and Columbia Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Tuesday. Officers transported the juvenile to the police department to speak with a detective and they were later released to their mother.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday for a report of recovered property. The caller advised that a person stole his bicycle and had it in their house. Officers spoke with the person in question who gave them permission to search the residence. Officers were unable to locate the bicycle but advised the caller they would keep an eye out for it.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. The caller advised the she had not heard from her grandson for a few hours. Officers located the juvenile and advised him that his grandmother wanted him home. Officers then transported the juvenile to his residence.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 6:44 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that two juveniles were trespassing and setting firecrackers off under an air conditioning unit. Officers advised the juvenile’s parents of the complaint and advised the juveniles to stay off of that property.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Second Street at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a man who was allegedly yelling. Officers spoke with the man, Brandon Huff, 30, Alliance, who advised he had a Bluetooth speaker he’d been playing at a loud volume. While speaking with the man officers were advised by dispatch that the man had an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. Huff was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East Pershing Street at 4:36 p.m. Tuesday for an ongoing investigation involving threats. Officers obtained information and will forward it to the detective handling the case.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. The caller received a letter in the mail which they thought was a scam and wanted to speak with officers about it. Officers checked the letter which was determined to be and ad for car insurance.

— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday regarding a social media incident. Officers asked the caller if they would be able to come to the police department and they advised that they could not come that day but would come in the next day.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Penn Avenue at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday for a reported hit and skip. Officers observed a vehicle which had damaged to the left bumper which appeared to have been clipped by either a trailer or hitch. Officers took photos of the damage, but security footage of the parking lot was unavailable.

— Officers received a message regarding threats made between a group of juvenile with one person wanting to meet up at a specific time and place in the city at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday. Officers spoke with the juvenile and their parent about the issue and the parent notified other parents. Officers advised that the incident would be documented.

— Officers responded to the first block of Court Drive at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday for a report of graffiti. Officers were advised by the caller that he had observed offensive vandalism and photos were obtained. Officers requested the parks department be contacted and a report be made.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers were advised that the person had left the hospital without being discharged and potentially still had an IV in their arm. Officers located the person a few blocks away, advising them of the complaint, and observed no IV in their arm; however, the person advised they would return to the hospital to be discharged.

— While on scene for a separate incident officers were advised of a suspicious vehicle parked in an emergency vehicle entrance. Officers were advised that the vehicle had responded to the scene for the other incident and was unsure how to get to the police on the other side of the park and stopped at that location but was leaving.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East Pershing Street at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday for an ongoing investigation involving threats. Officers obtained the information and will forward it to the detective handling the case.

St. Clair Township

–An officer on patrol on Florence Street on July 28 observed a pick-up truck in a driveway with both passenger side doors open. The officer knocked on the door and spoke with the resident who checked the truck and said all look good and secured the truck.

–An Irish Ridge Road resident told officers on July 28 that he had seen a four-wheeler sitting in the creek of his property when he left his house that morning and he thought the four-wheeler might have been stolen from somewhere on Dresden Avenue because he had seen it earlier on a trailer near there.

— Officers searched the area of Y&O Road for a silver SUV with one headlight that the highway patrol was looking for on July 29. The officers cleared the area without finding the vehicle.

— An officer spoke to residents on Artistic Drive on July 29 after a car backed into cable lines. The female who reported the incident told officers she spoke with the company and they told her that it wasn’t their problem and to not call them again. The officers found the wires that once went to another residence and the owner told officers that he no longer had wi-fi or cable.

— Officers spoke to a couple in the parking lot of Dollar General and a cashier in the store on state Route 267 on July 29 regarding a reported altercation between a male and a female in the parking lot. Both the cashier and the couple told officers they had not seen or heard anything.

— Officers arrived at a Winston Drive residence on July 29 for an unresponsive male. North Star EMS was already there and officers assisted them.

— A driver was given a verbal warning following a July 29 traffic stop on McGuffy Drive for no county sticker on the license plate.

— Officers were advised by dispatch per request by highway patrol to get into position on state Route 11 as they had a vehicle driving recklessly on the southbound side. The officers sat at the overpass on state Route 170 and set up stop sticks on state Route 11 south. As the vehicle passed it was not being driven recklessly and highway patrol was not behind it.

— A driver was given a warning following a July 29 traffic stop on Park Way for the county and registration sticker on his plate being covered by a plate cover.

— An officer responding to Amarillo Avenue on July 29 for cows on the loose was able to get the cows back into their pen.

— A driver was given a verbal warning for speed following a July 30 traffic stop on state Route 170.

— Matthew Ward (age and address not provided) was issued a citation for speed following a July 30 traffic stop.

— An officer on patrol on July 31 noticed the baseball field gate opened. He and another officer searched the area and closed the gate.

— An officer responding to an alarm on July 31 at Giant Eagle found the building to be secure.

— Officers assisted deputies from the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office in attempting to serve an indictment warrant at an East Liverpool Road address on July 31.

— An officer on patrol on Aug. 1 observed a vehicle parked in the Smith Gas Station on East Liverpool Road where there is usually not a vehicle parked. The officer did a check of the vehicle which was unoccupied and did not appear to be disabled.

— An officer traveling toward Sheetz on state Route 170 on Aug. 1 observed juveniles chasing each other down the hill beside the parking lot where vehicles were parked. The officer approached three vehicles parked next to each other which appeared to have juveniles in each of them and told them Sheetz was a business not a playground and they needed to leave if they were going to continue running around the parking lot. The vehicle occupants agreed to leave.

— A female who officers were requested to do a welfare check on at Highland Drive residence on Aug. 2 spoke with the officers and told them she was fine.

— Officers asked a driver who was parked in the rear parking lot of Hoges Restaurant for some time with his lights on on Aug. 2 to move on which he did.

— An officer checked the area of Cricket Lane on Aug. 2 for a report of shots fired. She also checked surrounding areas and found everything appeared to be in order.

— Officers responding to Giant Eagle on Aug. 2 for an alarm checked the building and found it to be secure and then were advised by dispatch to disregard because the proper code was given.
