Highway Patrol

— Joseph Bradford, of Main Street in Lisbon, was cited at 9:07 p.m. July 17 in Fairfield Township, after his eastbound vehicle struck one driven by Taylor Orr, of state Route 45 in Lisbon, near state routes 164 and 558.

Perry Township

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Indiana Avenue at 8:11 p.m. Thursday for a reported neighbor complaint. The caller advised that a neighbor had alleged her children were stealing items from her garage. Officers advised her that no crime had been reported nor alleged to them, and the caller advised they wanted it noted that her children were innocent and not breaking into a neighbor’s garage.

— Officers responded to Salem Acres at 6:42 p.m. Thursday for a reported wellness check. Officers spoke with the parties involved.

— Officers on patrol in the 100 block of West Thirteenth Street at 3:30 p.m. Thursday located a downed wire. Officers blocked the roadway until the fire department arrived.

— Officers responded to the dead end of West Fourteenth Street at 11 a.m. Thursday for a parking complaint. Officers found a vehicle parked at the end of the street but not blocking traffic flow or driveways. Officers spoke with the vehicle owner, and he advised that he would move the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 2:49 a.m. July 16 for a reported suspicious vehicle. Officers spoke with the driver who advised he was on his lunch break.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:53 p.m. July 15 to assist the fire department with a reported transformer fire. Officers stood by and assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Chestnut Grove at 2:38 p.m. July 15 to assist Salem officers with attempting to locate a man. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man. Salem officers later located the man in the city.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of state Route 9 at 1:12 p.m. July 15 for a report of a man who was upset and cut himself. Officers spoke with the man and kept him calm until EMT could transport him.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 5:22 a.m. July 15 for a report of a man going through a vehicle. Officers were advised that the person fled on foot eastbound. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.

— Officers spoke with a man by phone at 2 p.m. July 14 who advised that he received his credit report and there were multiple pending credit card applications that he didn’t open. The man advised that he already contacted his bank and froze his credit. He was advised a report would be on file.

— Officers on patrol in the area of Salem-Warren Road near South Range Road at 4:29 p.m. July 13 observed a reckless operator outside their jurisdiction. Officers caught up with the vehicle in question, observing it almost cause multiple accidents. The vehicle was stopped and officers stood by until Goshen Township Officers arrived.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Van Buren Avenue at 1:21 p.m. July 13 for a report of an unresponsive man. Officers moved the man to a position for medical to attempt to provide life-saving measures. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene and officers remained on scene until the funeral home arrived.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 9:15 a.m. July 13 to assist the fire department with an alarm. Officers stood by until they were no longer needed.

Sheriff’s Office

— A harassment report was taken by a deputy dispatched at 9:46 p.m. Thursday on Kelly Park Road, Fairfield Township.

— An open 911 line was reported at 5:35 p.m. Thursday at Lakeside Drive, Hanover Township. A deputy checked the area, but there was no contact with anyone at the residence or in the area.

— A juvenile-related incident was reported at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday at Meadow Wood Drive, Butler Township. The report was sent to Child Protective Services.

— A man from Lisbon reported at 8:28 p.m. Wednesday that he and his wife were at his grandfather’s residence on Miller Road, Fairfield Township when he and his father got into an argument and his father pulled out a gun and pointed it at him. Another relative called the sheriff’s office and reported his brother did not pull out a gun and point it at anyone and that the man from Lisbon was causing the disturbance and they don’t want him back on the property. All parties were advised how to obtain a protection order.

— A welfare check was requested at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday on a man on McCracken Road, Salem Township due to the caller not being able to make contact with him. While a deputy was en route, dispatch reported the man contacted the caller.

— Deputies were dispatched at 4:42 p.m. Wednesday to Hillview Drive, Hanover Township for a domestic violence report. Travis Whaley, 54, Hillview Drive, Hanoverton, was taken into custody for domestic violence and taken to the Columbiana County Jail. According to court records, he’s facing a pretrial Aug. 4 for the charge for allegedly slamming a woman to the floor.

— A doctor’s office in Columbiana requested at 7:42 p.m. Tuesday that a deputy make contact with a man on Valley Road, Butler Township. The deputy made contact with the man.

— A man on state Route 558, Salem Township reported at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday that a male arrived at his residence in a white Toyota SUV with South Carolina plates attempting to sell aerial pictures of his property, which he declined.

— Deputies were dispatched at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday to Clarks Mill Road, Washington Township, for a person having mental health issues. Lifeteam EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool.

— A man on Columbia Street, Middleton Township reported at 10:41 p.m. July 19 that his juvenile daughter had multiple friends at the residence and an unknown female was trying to fight everyone. She left in a vehicle and deputies were advised they were no longer needed.

— A man on Jersey Ridge Road, Salem Township requested at 9:58 p.m. July 19 that a deputy advise a woman from Columbiana to stay off of his property. A deputy spoke with her and she was advised, per the man, to not come onto his property. At 9:09 p.m., she had requested a welfare check on her 9-year-old daughter who she was unable to contact at the child’s father’s residence on Jersey Ridge Road, Salem Township. A deputy spoke with the child, who was fine.

— A woman in Newark, Del. requested a welfare check at 7:46 p.m. July 19 on her father, Eastlake Road, Hanover Township, due to her receiving an emergency SOS from his cell phone. A deputy spoke with him, learning he was having issues with his cell phone.

— The Summit County Sheriff’s Office at 7:42 p.m. July 19 requested a deputy make contact with a man on Slater Road, Butler Township, regarding property that belongs to him. A deputy made contact with him.

— A deputy was dispatched at 6:26 p.m. July 19 to the area of McDonald’s, state Route 45, Center Township, for a person running with no shirt on yelling they are trying to torture me. A deputy spoke with the person, who was fine. There were no issues.

— A deputy responded at 11:31 p.m. July 16 to the area of Bell Road, Elkrun Township regarding a suspicious person, who when contacted was confused about where they were. The deputy spoke to all parties involved and the person was later checked by EMS due to a possible medical situation. EMS transported the person to a hospital at the request of the person. The person was told not to return to that property.

Columbiana

— A private property crash was reported at 5:12 p.m. July 15 in the 100 block of North Main Street.

— Vincent Boerio, of Columbiana was cited at 10:40 a.m. Thursday for speeding in the 1400 block of Columbiana Lisbon Road.

— A male subject reported at 7:23 p.m. July 18 that some golf clubs had been stolen in the 500 block of Fairfield Avenue.
