Sheriff Reports
— A deputy responded at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 hangup call on Pine Hollow Road, Rogers, making contact with a woman who said she must have accidentally called. She advised she was OK.
— A deputy at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday returned a call regarding a 911 hangup on Cusick Road, Lisbon, learning from the caller that everything was OK and his phone was messed up. There was also a 911 hangup from the same residence at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday. The resident was OK.
— A resident on Haiti Road, Salineville, reported at 1:21 p.m. Monday that someone shot their cat and the cat later had to be put down.
— A deputy responded at 4:13 p.m. Sunday to Wildwood Acres Campground in Madison Township for a 911 hangup call. The deputy checked the campground and did not find anyone in distress.
— An anonymous caller at 6:23 p.m. Saturday asked for a report to be sent to the Columbiana County Dog Warden that multiple dogs possibly without dog tags were on a property on Stump Road, West Township. The report was sent to the dog warden.
— A civil matter was reported at 5:24 p.m. July 17 on Waterford Road, Unity Township. A deputy spoke with both parties involved and advised them on how to proceed.
Leetonia
— Columbiana 911 dispatch called police to report an open line from a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Street at 6:40 p.m. July 19.
— A suspicious black van was reported at 11:35 a.m. July 19 in the 500 block of Chestnut Street Extension. Upon responding, the vehicle was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
— Michael Nason was given a warning at 4:43 a.m. July 19 for speeding near State and Hazel streets; however, Nason’s vehicle ultimately was towed due to the lack of license plates. He was cited for his inability to produce a valid license and no plates.
— Jordan Ryeasha, no address listed, was served with an active warrant out of Mahoning County at 5:49 a.m. July 18 near Columbia and Spruce. The license plate she displayed in the window showed expired. She also was cited for driving under suspension and the expired plates.
— Police responded to a civil matter at 7:53 p.m. on Ridge Street, where an ex-girlfriend is moving out of a residence she formerly shared with her boyfriend. Both halves had been arguing about possession of a fish tank when police arrived.
— An officer assisted EMS at 8:03 a.m. July 18 in the 400 block of Sleepy Hollow with an unresponsible elderly female. Ultimately the woman was transported to the hospital.
— Police responded at 10:24 p.m. July 21 to Leetonia Post Office for a mail vehicle with its lights on.
— A reckless driver was reported at 8:47 p.m. July 17 traveling east on state Route 344. Upon arrival, the officer couldn’t locate the vehicle, which was a red Mercedes.
— Police beefed up patrols in the 200 block of Ridge Street, after suspicious activity was reported at 8:51 p.m. July 17.
— EMS responded at 1:27 p.m. July 17 to Quaker City Concrete for a female subject not breathing. She was transported to the hospital.
— Kevin Everson, of High Street, was cited at 11:35 a.m. July 16 near Walnut and Main streets for a stop sign violation and driving under FRA suspension, after he struck a southbound vehicle driven by Terrie L. Crawford, of state Route 344.
Lisbon
— Officers observed a vehicle lose control and hit the curb at 11:08 p.m. on July 11. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle which took off at a high rate of speed. Officers chased the vehicle through the village and to state Route 45 where the vehicle became inoperable and came to a stop. The driver, Zachary R. Halfhill, no age or address given, was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding, failure to control, red light violation, lighted lights, failure to stop after an accident and reckless operation.
— Officers responded to the Methodist Church on East Washington Street for a report of a raccoon trapped inside of a dumpster July 8 at 11:26 p.m. Officers placed a wooden pallet inside of the dumpster and after a short period of time, the raccoon was able to exit the dumpster safely.
— Officers responded at 10:17 p.m. on July 7 to North Market Street for a report of an intoxicated male stumbling on the sidewalk. Officers spoke to the male and determined that he was not intoxicated. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers responded at 3:23 p. on July 6 to East Lincoln Way for one to be removed. The male was found to reside there and the caller was advised that she would need to evict him.
— Officers responded to the Columbiana County Fairgrounds at 9:49 p.m. on July 3 to the parking lot for a report of a female slapping a juvenile in the face. No foul play was found.
— Officers responded on July 2 at 8:07 p.m. to North Market Street for a neighbor dispute. Officers spoke to the complainant who advised his neighbors were speeding through the alleyway and blocking his driveway. Officers then spoke to the other party involved who advised they would slow down and not block the driveway. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers responded to West Washington Street for a trespass complaint at 11:08 p.m. on July 2. Officers made contact with the offender and advised them that they were trespassed and to not come back. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers responded to Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon on Vista Drive to report a suspicious person at 6:34 a.m. on July 1. Workers of this facility stated that a man walked in the doors asking to have an X-ray done and then left the building. Officers patrolled the property but were unable to locate the man. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers responded at 2:16 p.m. on July 1 to the BP gas station on state Route 154 to conduct a welfare check on two occupants of a pickup truck who were both asleep. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both occupants and they stated that they were okay and just decided to pull over and get some rest.
— Officers responded at 3:30 a.m. to June 30 to Circle K at the request of a worker who stated a man was outside harassing customers and smoking in front of the propane tanks. Officers arrived to find the man had already left. Officers cleared without further incident.
— Officers spoke to a woman on June 30 at 10:56 a.m. at the station about her ex harassing her. She was advised to forward any messages to an officer’s email. After an investigation, it was undetermined who sent them.
— Officers conducted at 6:49 p.m. on June 28 a traffic stop on a motorcyclist on West Washington Street near South Market Street after observing the male subject operating a motorcycle with no safety equipment. During the traffic stop police learned that the operator, Dutch M. Morris, 35, Lisbon, had an active warrant for his arrest out of Columbiana County along with having a suspended driver’s license and no motorcycle endorsement. Morris was arrested and transported to the Columbiana County jail.
— Officers executed a warrant on June 28 at 11:49 p.m. at East Lincoln Way. Officers arrested Anthony Delmont on a warrant for failure to appear.
