— Jessica Ash (age and address not provided) was charged with theft and summoned to appear in Magistrate Court on July 31 after she was identified as the person caught on a porch cam video stealing a package off the porch of a Riverside Avenue residence on July 12.
— Michael Harrington, 38, 1217 Croxall Ave., Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, was arrested for strangulation and transported to the Columbiana County Jail on July 13 after his ex-girlfriend told officers that during an argument he grabbed her by the throat and put her in a choke hold.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Pershing Street at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday for a reported dispute. The caller advised that they had picked up their intoxicated friend and brought them to a business at their request and that there had been a dispute, but nothing physical had occurred. The other party involved requested their belongings out of the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of East State Street at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday for a reported unruly juvenile. Officers addressed the issue and collected information.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a person known to them had just left the gas station and was possibly intoxicated. They also advised the person was suspended and carrying a firearm on his hip. Officers checked the area and the person in question’s last known address but were unable to locate them.
— Officers responded to the police department at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday for a report of possible damage which had to have occurred sometime on Sunday afternoon while at a local business. After gathering information “officers were able to wipe off what was thought to be damage and was determined to be a thick, clear, sticky substance.” The caller advised that he would be able to wash the rest off.
— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Bentley Drive at 5:48 p.m. Wednesday for an incident at a nursing home. The caller advised two residents got into an altercation but did not remember the incident happening. No injuries were reported but the caller requested a report be made.
— Officers responded to the 2100 block of Monroe Street at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday for a report of theft. The caller advised that an unknown person had taken his packages from in front of his door without his knowledge or permission. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation
— Officers responded to the area of Granite Avenue and Arch Street at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check on a woman observed having difficulty walking while pushing a stroller. Officers located the woman who had drug paraphernalia on her while walking her 10-month-old toddler. They were both transported back to the police department where the woman was taken to a treatment program by Peer Support and both children were temporarily placed with a family by children’s services.
— Officers responded to the 1600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:09 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a child locked inside a vehicle. Officers were able to gain entry into the vehicle without incident.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 2:24 a.m. Wednesday for a reported robbery. The caller advised that they had watched someone in a ski mask enter the store while driving by. Officers spoke with an employee who advised that it was a known customer and that there was no issue.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at 1:52 a.m. Wednesday for a report of an intoxicated person near the woods. Officers located the man sitting on the guardrail near the road and he was given a ride back to his residence.
