Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies at 3:21 a.m. Monday checked an unsecured bus at Beaver Local, state Route 7, Lisbon. Due to an earlier incident that evening regarding a person fleeing, it was found to be suspicious. Deputies checked the immediate and surrounding buses and found everything secure.

Perry Township

— Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 at 2:42 a.m. Sunday for a reported woman walking along the roadway. Officers checked throughout the township and did not observe the person in question.

— Officers on patrol observed a vehicle being driven by a non-valid driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver, Mark Thomas, 43, Salem, was cited for driving without a license and the passenger Angela Thomas, 30, Salem, was cited for wrongful entrustment. The vehicle was removed by Biddle’s Towing.

— Officers checked the area of North Lincoln Avenue near Seventeenth Street at 11:42 p.m. Friday for a report of an elderly woman walking in the roadway. Officers checked the area and parts of other jurisdictions but were unable to locate them.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of West State Street at 10:08 p.m. Friday for a reported breaking and entering. Officers advised that the homeowners weren’t home and had observed a man on their camera and believed that they entered the residence through an unlocked door. Officers checked the inside of the residence, but nobody was located.

— Officers responded to the 36000 block of Perry Grange Road at 6:48 p.m. Friday to assist other agencies with an arrest.

— Officers responded to the area of East Pidgeon Road near South Lincoln Avenue at 12:50 p.m. Friday for a report of a possible intoxicated driver who was heading westbound on East Pidgeon Road. Officers spoke with the driver at their residence, advising them of the complaint, and didn’t observe any signs of impairment while speaking with the man.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Franklin Avenue at 8:42 a.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person at Grandview Cemetery. She advised that the morning prior she had seen a suspicious man walking by the chapel who she felt was following her. No further information was available at that time.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Benton Road at 6:36 p.m. Thursday for a reported custody issue. The caller advised that her two sons were with her mother who was refusing to bring them home. Officers spoke with the mother who advised that she wasn’t keeping the kids from their mother and for her to come get them and there were no further issues at that time.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 10:55 a.m. Thursday to assist EMT with a patient having a mental crisis. Officers stood by and assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of East Pidgeon Road at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check on an elderly man. Officers spoke with the man, who was slightly confused but able to provide officers with his information and address, and officers transported him to his residence.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Springdale Street at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday for a reported tree in the roadway. Officers stood by until the road department arrived and removed the tree.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Cliff Drive at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers were invited inside and advised by a resident that the two fighting had left together with an unknown destination. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fourteenth Street at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers were advised that they couldn’t back their car out of the driveway because of where his neighbor had his truck parked. Officers advised that the neighbor was not in violation of any laws, and there was plenty of space to back out of the road. Officers also spoke with the neighbor, advising that they were not in violation, but their neighbors asked if he would move his truck.

— Bobbi Smith, 49, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his westbound vehicle on East Pidgeon Road struck a vehicle driven by Christoper Delligatti, 35, Salem, in the 1200 block of East Pidgeon Road at 9:57 a.m. Wednesday. Both drivers refused medical attention.

St. Clair Township

— Officers checked the area of McCoy Avenue on June 17 after a caller said there was a male subject walking around the apartment complex, and he was concerned his tractor would get stolen.

— A female signed a domestic refusal after calling police from an Duke Vodrey Road residence on June 18 to report her fiance who had been drinking all day put his hands on her when she attempted to throw his beer out. The male involved left with his family.

— Officers notified the county road crew after discovering a tree down in the roadway at the township line on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on June 18.

— Officers on June 18 went to a Bloomfield Avenue residence to assist the sheriff’s office in an attempt to locate a subject in reference to a secret indictment. They were unable to make contact with the person.

— Jada Como, age and address not provided, was issued citations for speed and texting while driving following a June 19 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— A neighbor was advised not to go onto another neighbor’s Sprucevale Road property on June 19 after officers responded to a complaint of harassment.

— An officer patrolling around Beaver Local High School on June 20 noted a porta-jon had been knocked over in the rear area of the school. Nothing else appeared to be tampered with.

— James Walsh, age and address not provided, was found to have license suspension for non-compliance during a traffic stop for no lights on. Walsh who stated he does not have insurance on the vehicle was issued a citation and mandatory court date. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

— Officers who were notified of an elderly man appearing to be in distress while walking down 170 on June 20, located the man and gave him a courtesy ride to his residence.

— Officers responded to Carriage Hill Apartments at the request of North Star EMS on June 20 for an uncooperative male.
