-- A deputy at 5:37 p.m. Friday returned a call regarding a civil matter on Graham Street, Center Township, advising the person how to proceed.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 10:21 p.m. Thursday to Lake Front Drive, Knox Township, for a domestic violence report. Both parties signed a refusal to prosecute.
-- A deputy responded at 9:59 p.m. Thursday to Dollar General, U.S. Route 62, Damascus, Butler Township, for a glass pipe found on the property. The glass pipe was collected and destroyed at the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
-- A man on Wheathill Road, Unity Township, reported at 7:23 p.m. Thursday that his ATM card was used from an ATM in Lexington, Ky., to withdraw $200. He requested a fraud report on file, per his bank.
-- A woman on Painters Path, Salem Township, reported at 6:10 p.m. Thursday that she's in a civil dispute over a dog she has at her residence that belongs to a person from the state of Indiana. She told the other person to not come to her residence and to stop harassing her. She was advised how to obtain a protection order.
-- A deputy at 6:14 p.m. Thursday did a court-ordered standby for a man to get his belongings from a residence on Gurlea Street, Hanover Township. A woman was present.
-- A deputy responded at 2:22 p.m. Thursday to Carey Road, Butler Township, for a report of people going door to door soliciting roof inspections and replacements. The deputy did not find anyone on Carey Road, but did notice someone on Georgetown Road walking door to door. The man told the deputy he was from Erie Home, a home improvement company out of Akron, and he and four others were going door to door offering inspections. He advised the manager was driving around the area supervising the reps as they go door to door. He gave the deputy their office phone number.
-- A woman in Butler Township reported at 9:25 p.m. May 28 that she had custody of her grandchild and the child's mother has been contacting her through social media and saying inappropriate things. She was advised on how to obtain a protection order.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday to Depot Road, Butler Township for a person causing a disturbance, with the homeowner requesting the person be removed. Lucas Ludwig, 39, Akron, was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the county jail.
-- An alarm drop was reported at the Pit Stop, state Route 164, Lisbon. Deputies checked the building and found everything secure from the ground up.
-- A noise complaint was reported at 10:53 p.m. May 10 in the area of 16 School Road, Yellow Creek Township. The people were told to keep the noise down and agreed to do so.
Salem
-- Officers responded to the area of North Lundy Avenue and East Third Street at 4:24 a.m. Sunday to speak with a suspicious person in relation to a previous call. Officers detained the man temporarily due to him being armed with bladed weapons and after finding no foul play released the man.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street at 4 a.m. Sunday for a reported suspicious person. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man in question.
-- Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:26 p.m. Saturday for a reported fight. Officers spoke with all parties involved, and nobody wanted to pursue charges, not to criminally trespass anyone.
-- Officers responded to the 34000 block of Salem Grange Road at 6:44 p.m. Saturday to assist Columbiana County Sheriff's Office deputies with a warrant check. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of South Lundy Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Saturday for a warrant check. Nobody was located at the property nor in the surrounding areas.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of South Lundy Avenue and East Perry Street at 4:16 p.m. Saturday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving under suspension. During the stop K-9 Chaz was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotic odor. The driver, Mary Kiehl, was cited for driving under suspension and the vehicle was removed by Sinsley's Towing with a hold for the owner who had a pending citation for wrongful entrustment.
-- Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 1:42 p.m. Saturday for a reported custody dispute. The caller advised that she had questions regarding a custody dispute. Officers advised her to follow the custody agreement paperwork set out by the courts and advised that she understood.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 11:37 p.m. Friday to attempt to locate the person who had an outstanding warrant. Officers spoke with multiple people at the location, but nobody had seen them.
-- Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln Avenue and East Pershing Street at 10:54 p.m. Friday for a warrant check. Officers spoke with the homeowner who advised that he had not seen the person for a long time.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Short Street at 10:35 p.m. Friday to attempt to locate the person who had an outstanding warrant. The homeowner advised that the person was not there, nor had he been there.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fifth Street at 9:18 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers located two women with active warrants out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office and took both Brook Hunter, 33, Salem, and Hope Hunter, 35, Salem, into custody and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 8:59 p.m. Friday for a noise complaint. The homeowner advised that her husband was in their garage playing music and advised that she would go have him turn it down.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:47 p.m. Friday to attempt to locate a person with an outstanding warrant. Officers spoke with the homeowner who advised that the person in question had moved out and was no longer at the residence.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue at 7:20 p.m. Friday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers spoke with both parties involved and advised them not to speak to each other and to contact officers again if needed.
-- Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 6:55 p.m. Friday regarding a protection order violation. Officers collected information about the matter and advised them that the matter would be documented, and that due to the vague nature of the statements made, it would be better to document the incident and monitor if the problem persisted due to it technically not being a court order violation.
-- Officers responded to the 1300 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 5:53 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious vehicle. Contact was made with the owner, who was visiting a friend at the apartment complex.
