— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 12:17 p.m. Friday for a report of unwanted messages. The caller was given their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cleveland Street at 10:27 p.m. Thursday for a report of people yelling. Officers spoke with the resident who advised that kids were playing video games, and they were advised to keep the noise down.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Jennings Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Thursday for a noise complaint. Officers found music being played from an amplifier in the front yard with nobody around. Contact was made at the residence, and they were advised of the complaint.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Continental Drive at 6:36 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The caller advised that there was a person lying in the parking lot and she wanted to ensure they were okay. Officers spoke with them, and they advised that they were okay and just taking a nap.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Arch Street at 6:01 p.m. Thursday to assist the fire department and EMT with a medical call where it was reported that the person was coming down off a drug and acting strangely. Officers stood by with medical personnel until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:56 p.m. Thursday for a reported person to be removed. Officers learned that the person had been there earlier in the day but left several hours prior. The facility requested that officers advised the person not to return if they encountered them. Officers advised that if the person returned before being located by officers to contact them.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2300 block of East State Street at 3 p.m. Thursday for a reported man sleeping on the front patio. Officers located the person and advised him that the business advised that he could not sleep there recommending a public park as an alternative place to relax, and he gathered his things and left without incident.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of East Pershing Street at 2:38 p.m. Thursday for a reported warrant check. Officers spoke with the man, Stephen Stone, 37, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, confirming the warrant and taking him into custody and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 2:04 p.m. Thursday for a reported parking complaint. Officers advised the caller that since the vehicle was parked on private property, they could have it towed.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 1:42 p.m. Thursday for a speak with officer complaint. The caller advised that their child was in temporary custody with their mother and that the mother had been refusing to meet up with the caller to get the child’s medication for the last two months. Officers advised that a report would be made.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that a group of girls were on the porch of her grandmother’s house attempting to assault her younger sister. The juveniles left prior to officers’ arrival, and officers spoke with the sister at the residence who advised that no threats were made. The grandmother wanted the three juveniles trespassed from the residence and signed three trespass notices.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue at 7:11 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The caller advised that her husband ran out of his medication and was acting erratically. Officers spoke with the man, who advised that he was okay and was just upset. The fire department was called to the scene for medical evaluation, and the man signed a refusal for further treatment.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Maple Street at 6:35 p.m. Thursday for a report of a group of kids using foul language in front of small children at the park. Officers spoke with them and advised them to keep it down around juveniles.
