-- A deputy at 2:31 a.m. Wednesday came across a person in Rogers while on patrol and found him to be homeless after speaking with him. The deputy attempted to find him a place to stay for the night and after some help from the person, found him a relative to stay with for the night.
-- A woman from Powhatan, Ohio called at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday to request a welfare check on her mother on Lowmiller Road, West Township, who has not been answering her phone all day. A deputy spoke to the mother, who said her phone battery was dead and was charging now. The deputy advised the woman.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday to state Route 9, Hanover Township, for an unruly juvenile report. The report was sent to Columbiana County Juvenile Court for review.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 9:01 p.m. Saturday to Jimtown Road, Unity Township for a welfare check. Deputies spoke to the person, who was fine.
Columbiana
-- A male subject reported at 9:31 p.m. May 16 that he lent a vehicle to a friend and she didn't return it.
-- Leeana Schumacher, of East Liverpool, was cited at 10:16 p.m. May 16 for driving under suspension following a traffic stop near state Route 7 and Metz Road.
-- A female caller reported at 8:28 a.m. May 16 that she had been receiving strange calls at her phone number, including a call from a little girl asking for her dad that was left on voicemail. She was advised to block the number and report anything suspicious happening around their home.
-- A female subject was formally trespassed at 11:31 a.m. May 14 from Wind Rose Apartments. If she returns, she will be arrested.
-- Kaitlyn Bailey and John Parks III, both of Columbiana, were served at 8:04 a.m. May 14 with warrants for aggravated possession and transported to Columbiana County Jail. Columbiana County Children Services took custody of their five minor children.
-- Stephanie Herstine, no address listed, was arrested at 11:24 pm. May 13 in the 46000 block of state Route 14 with an active warrant out of Columbiana County Sheriff's Office and was found to possess suspected narcotics.
-- Taurean McCullough, of Youngstown, was cited at 10:33 p.m. May 13 into 300 block of North Main Street for driving under suspension.
-- A private property crash was reported at 4:05 p.m. May 12 in the 300 block of North Main Street.
-- Ross Chaplow, of Columbiana, was served at 8:36 p.m. May 11 with an active warrant and transported to Columbiana County Jail.
Leetonia
-- Police responded at 7:22 p.m. May 15 to the 400 block of Pearl Street for a suspicious person. Upon contact with the caller, the subject identified himself as "from the electric company." He was gone upon arrival but it is believed he was soliciting door-to-door without a permit.
-- Police contacted the Leetonia school board office at 3:10 pm. May 16, after a panic alarm was activated. They advised it was a false alarm due to a battery failure.
-- A caller advised police at 5:36 p.m. May 15 of a solicitor without a permit going door-to-door on Bears Den Road. Upon contact, the subject was informed of his need for a permit, so he apologized and left.
-- A loud music complaint was called in at 9:58 p.m. May 16 from the 200 block of Ridge Street. Upon arrival, the area was quiet.
-- Another unpermitted door-to-door solicitor (this one for home remodeling) attracted police attention at 11:10 a.m. May 15 on Somer Street. He was advised to leave until he obtained the proper paperwork.
-- An officer responded at 9:38 a.m. May 19 to the 200 block of Oak Street to investigate a noise complaint.
-- Police were advised of a possible foot pursuit within a few hundred yards of the village limits on state Route 344 near Lisbon Canfield Road. A K-9 unit was tracking toward the Greenaway Trail. After checking the area, all units cleared with negative results.
-- An officer investigated a barking dog complaint at 1:29 p.m. May 20 in the first block of Oak Street.
-- A village employee reported seeing a small black bear at 2:07 p.m. May 20 while mowing at High and Oak streets. The sighting was reported to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Liverpool Township
-- An unnamed driver was issued a citation for speed for 71 mph in a 55-mph zone and a court date for May 13 following a May 7 traffic stop on state Route 7. The driver was unable to provide proof of insurance and told to do so at his court hearing
-- An unnamed driver was issued a citation for speed for 70 mph in a 55-mph zone following a May 7 traffic stop on state Route 7.
-- An unnamed driver was issued a citation and court date for driving under suspension and illegal plates following a May 7 traffic stop. The vehicle was impounded.
-- Jamar Hester, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for a headlight out following a May 9 traffic stop on state Route 7.
-- An unnamed male was taken into custody after being spotted driving by an officer who knew the male from other incidents and confirming outstanding warrants for him on May 11. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the male who advised he was in a customer's vehicle and asked if he could pull it into his driveway. The officer agreed and then the male was taken into custody and transported to Columbiana County Jail.
