Liverpool Township

— Tyler Daugherty, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and mandatory court for traveling 33 miles over the speed limit following a March 19 traffic stop for speed on Boring Lane.

— Tina Roberts, age and address not provided, was cited for marked lane violations and given a verbal warning the plate being obstructed following a March 19 traffic stop on Westfield Road. The officer advised her the state wanted the license plates and registration confiscated and he couldn’t let her drive the car with no plates and it was impounded by First Class Towing. When Roberts asked why, the officer told her it may have something to do with the co-owner of the car.

— Randy Reynolds, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for traveling 69 mph in a 55 mph following a March 19 traffic stop for speed on state Route 7.

— Frank Aracich, 51, address not provided, was arrested for an outstanding warrant following a March 20 traffic stop on state Route 7 for plates not matching the vehicle. Aracich had 17 open driving under suspensions and a warrant for failure to appear for a driving under suspension.

— John Powell Jr., 34, address not provided, was arrested for an outstanding warrant on March 20 after police responded to a call from a male reporting being locked out of his house. Police arrived to the Price Street residence where they found Powell sitting on the porch. The officers told him that he was trespassed from that property on Sept. 26, 2024 and that if he returned, he would be arrested. Dispatch notified the officers of the outstanding warrant and placed him under arrest for the warrant and criminal trespass.

— Christina Day, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speed and driving alone on a temporary permit following a March 21 traffic stop on Boring Lane.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 800 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 10:34 p.m. Monday for a reported prowler. Officers observed a video of a juvenile attempting to gain entry into a tractor. Officers were unable to locate the juvenile.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue at 9:20 p.m. Monday for a report of a missing juvenile. Officers checked the area but did not locate the juvenile and a missing juvenile form was filled out and entered into LEADS. A BOLO was also issued to neighboring agencies. The juvenile was located early Tuesday and the mother responded to the area to meet with Beaver Township Police to pick up the juvenile, who was removed from LEADS.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Monday for a reported trespass complaint. The caller advised that she wanted a man and woman trespassed from the residence. The trespass notices were completed and officers contacted both people, advising them of the trespass notices and that they would be arrested if they went to the residence. Both parties understood and they advised that they would not come near the home. Both trespass notices were filed.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 8:52 p.m. Monday for a reported harassment complaint. The caller advised that her juvenile daughter was being harassed by another juvenile. Officers were able to assist the caller with blocking and deleting the other juvenile through Snapchat and officers spoke with the other juvenile’s mother who advised that all contact would stop.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 3:17 p.m. Monday regarding a scam. The person advised that she had been called by what she thought was the fraud department of her bank telling her to withdraw money due to fraud, and that she had done so and now the money was no longer in the account she was advised to put it in. She also advised that she looked up the phone number and it did match her bank’s fraud department. The information was collected and passed on to a detective.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 1:22 p.m. Monday to check for a person. Officers advised the occupants of charges for obstructing justice if they were hiding any wanted parties.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 8:18 p.m. Sunday for a possible burglary. The caller advised that the person was down by the wheel of a vehicle doing something they couldn’t see. The person advised that there was a rope tied to the tire of the vehicle and a bush behind it, and that he almost tripped on the rope so he was trying to untie it. The caller advised that there is never a rope on the vehicle and officers advised them not to mess with anyone’s vehicle. Officers untied the rope.

— Officers responded to the 110 block of Maple Street at 7:25 p.m. Sunday for a possible domestic. A third-party caller advised that an adult had put his hands on a juvenile at the residence. Officers spoke with both parties and learned that the stepfather had chest bumped the stepson during an argument. Neither party was able to leave the residence, but the stepfather agreed to go to bed, and the case will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

— Officers responded to the area of Newgarden Avenue and Liberty Avenue at 6:25 p.m. Sunday for a reported dog complaint. A dog had broken the leash and chased after the caller. An argument occurred between both parties and the dog did not bite anyone, but the caller asked that the incident be documented.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 5:22 p.m. Sunday for a reported intoxicated person. It was report by a third party that an intoxicated woman was knocking on multiple apartment doors. Officers checked the area but did not locate the woman or anyone else.

— Officers responded to the area of Penn Avenue and Columbia Street at 3:50 p.m. Sunday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that a male juvenile was making ignorant comments toward her juvenile niece. The caller asked the officer to speak with the juvenile and advised him to stay away from the woman.

— Officers responded to the area of East State Street at 3:07 p.m. Sunday for a reported hit and skip. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that he was stopped at the red light at the intersection of State Street and Roosevelt Avenue when a car hit his vehicle from behind. The caller pulled over into a parking lot as the other vehicle left the area and the caller felt that the other driver might not have realized they struck his vehicle. Officers observed the accessory to the vehicle’s receiver to be broken and no other damage. The caller asked the incident be documented.

— Bettie White, 82, Salem, was cited for failure to control after her vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway striking a mailbox at 12:14 p.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported, and Kaiser Towing removed the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street at 12:06 p.m. Sunday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that they wanted to make a report about someone living in their residence while they were in the hospital for several months. The caller advised that they told their son, and he advised that nobody was living in the residence. Officers spoke with the son who advised that there had been some medical issues happening recently and they were in the process of contacting doctors.

— Officers responded to the area of Sharp Avenue and West Wilson Street at 11:51 a.m. Sunday for a wellness check. The caller advised that they picked up the woman walking on U.S. Route 62 between Alliance and Sebring who was crying and needed a ride to Salem. The caller dropped them off the in the area of West Wilson and Sharp Street, and officers checked the area but could not locate the woman.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fourth Street at 11:29 a.m. Sunday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised that the neighbors were arguing next door. Officers spoke with the neighbors who advised that they were not fighting, and they were getting ready to leave her residence. Officers advised them of the complaint, and they advised that they had been having issues with the caller for a while and that he was always calling the police on them.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 8:40 a.m. Sunday for report of a stolen bicycle. The caller advised that a man known to him was seen on video footage riding the bike off the property in the early hours of the morning. The caller wanted to pursue charges and after reviewing security footage officers contacted the man who took the bike, Justin Gibbs, 37, Salem, who admitted to the theft. Gibbs was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail and the bicycle was retrieved and returned to the complaint.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 2:46 a.m. Sunday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers were able to hear the person in question yelling and pounding loudly inside the residence. Officers spoke with them, finding them to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for themselves and first responders and EMT were called to the scene and transported them to the hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street at 10:37 p.m. Saturday for a reported theft. The caller advised an associate had offered a new bike seat and replaced the one she had and then left with the old seat. The caller wanted the old seat back but was unable to contact them. Officers spoke with the person in question at their residence and he advised he was sick but would return the seat.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of East State Street at 9:52 p.m. Saturday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that a juvenile had thrown a tortilla at their vehicle. Officers spoke with the juvenile who advised they had thrown the shell into the air and not at the vehicle and the juvenile’s parents were contacted and picked him up.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Washington Avenue at 9:14 p.m. Saturday for a medical call. Officers did not locate the person in the area but were able to locate her at the residence on South Lincoln Avenue. The person advised that she had given a watch to a relative and that he was walking around accidentally setting off the alarm.

— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and Sunset Boulevard at 9:09 p.m. Saturday for a reported reckless operator. Officers spoke with the driver who advised that he was delivering for Door Dash and got lost.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 8:29 p.m. Saturday for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised that he wants his daughter’s boyfriend out of the house, and he was not leaving. The boyfriend advised that he lived at the residence and has not been legally evicted, and officers advised the caller that he would have to legally evict them. He agreed to leave for the night along with his girlfriend.

— Officers on patrol responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 12:54 p.m. Saturday for a reported road rage incident. The caller advised a man started yelling and beeping a car horn at her and seemingly attempting to crash into her. Officers spoke with the man in question who supplied a conflicting statement and both parties were advised the possible consequences of road rage. The parties were sent on their way.

— Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Tenth Street at 5:17 a.m. Saturday observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and conducted standard field sobriety testing on the driver, John Bailey, 55, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, after which Bailey was taken into custody for OVI and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers on patrol in the area of East State Street and Brooklyn Avenue at 10:36 p.m. Friday observed broken glass in the roadway. Officers requested the fire department respond and clear the glass from the roadway.

— Officers responded to the 2400 block of Lexington Avenue at 10:17 p.m. Friday for a noise complaint. Officers spoke with the person in question advising them to keep the music down.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Ninth Street at 9:22 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. The property owner wanted officers to check the interior of a residence, and officers checked but did not locate anyone in the residence.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Eighth Street at 8:54 p.m. Friday for a report of a suspicious person walking through other people’s backyard. Officers observed a man matching the description of the person in question walking down the sidewalk and spoke with him. The man advised that he had just left his home which he was two houses from and had just come out for a walk. Officers also checked the area for anyone else walking in the area.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 8:29 p.m. Friday for a report of a firearm at a youth recreational center. Officers located an airsoft pistol in a locker and spoke with several juveniles but were unable to locate the owner. The airsoft pistol was taken and placed in evidence.

— Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue at East Fifth Street at 8:10 p.m. Friday for a reported garbage can in the road. Officers moved the can off the roadway.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Maple Street at 5:23 p.m. Friday for a reported juvenile issue. When officers arrived, they found that the juvenile was having a mental crisis and EMT and the fire department responded, and the juvenile was transported to an appropriate medical evaluation for further evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 2:37 p.m. Friday for a dumping complaint. The caller advised that they observed another person dumping a TV into the recycling center bins. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unable to.

— Tomas Tomas, 24, Salem, was cited for failure to control after his southbound vehicle on Rose Avenue struck a vehicle driven northbound by Sondra Delmont, 83, Salem at 2:29 p.m. Friday, no injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of East State Street at 2:24 p.m. Friday for a reported altercation with another employee that happened two days ago. The caller advised that the altercation was physical but couldn’t remember who pushed whom first and that they were upset he got fired and the other employee kept his job. Officers spoke with the manager at the business who advised he was able to access the camera, but the caller was not fired due to that incident and that he was fired for multiple issues.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 11:22 a.m. Friday for a speak with officer complaint. The caller advised an unknown person had thrown a fast food bag into their yard. Officers advised an extra patrol would be placed for the area.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:12 a.m. Thursday for a reported runaway juvenile. The caller advised that she had gotten into an argument with her son, and he had packed up his bags and left and said that he was walking to his father’s residence in Lisbon. Officers had the caller fill out a missing person report and checked the area, but the juvenile was not located. Later in the shift the caller contacted officers and advised that the juvenile had returned.

— Officers on patrol in the area of Third Street and Roosevelt Avenue at 12:54 a.m. Thursday located the caller from a previous 911 hang-up call. The woman advised that she had gotten into an argument with her friend, and he kicked her out, and that she was okay but was walking home. Officers gave them a courtesy transported to their residence.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Kennedy Drive at 10:31 p.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that her mother’s ex-boyfriend was driving up and down the road of her sister’s house. Officers were unable to locate the man in question and spoke with the caller’s sisters who advised that everything was okay.
