— Deputies were dispatched at 2:16 a.m. Monday to Y & O Road, Madison Township, regarding a threats call, with deputies speaking to a woman upon their arrival and the arrival of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. She advised her non-live-in husband was pounding on the front door and making verbal threats, but she did not want to pursue charges. Deputies searched the area for him, but did not find him.
— Deputies responded at 8:59 p.m. Sunday to state Route 9 in Butler Township regarding a hit-skip traffic accident. The offending driver was not found initially, with the victim reporting his motorcycle was rear-ended by a black sedan. He said he was okay and once the fire department took over the scene, deputies proceeded to the address attached to the plate in question for the black sedan. Contact was made with the registered owner, who appeared to be highly intoxicated, and had been home for five minutes before deputies arrived according to his wife. Shawn Blough, 47, state Route 9, Salem, was charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, failing to stop after an accident and open container, with a pretrial set for May 29 in Columbiana County Municipal Court.
— A shoplifter was reported at 6:11 p.m. Sunday at Discount Drug Mart, state Route 45, Center Township. Loss prevention wanted to pursue charges and Mary Elizabeth Keihl, 40, state Route 558, Leetonia, was charged with theft for allegedly stealing $47 worth of items from Discount Drug Mart in Lisbon on March 30. A pretrial remains pending on May 15 in county Municipal Court.
— Deputies were dispatched at 3:18 a.m. Sunday to state Route 164 for a welfare check, learning while en route that there was a possible assault. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to both parties. The female, Sue Leclerc, 43, did not want to pursue charges, but was taken into custody due to a warrant on file. She was transported to the county jail and served with the warrant.
— A noise complaint was reported at 1:38 a.m. Sunday on state Route 644, Hanover Township. A deputy made contact with the person involved and gave them a warning.
— A caller at 10:47 p.m. Saturday reported threats or harassment on state Route 39 in Washington Township, with a deputy advising them how to proceed.
— An active alarm was reported at Thomas Market, First Street, Hanoverton, at 2:35 a.m. Saturday. Deputies checked the exterior and did not find any entry points. Deputies waited for the keyholder and checked the inside of the business, where no evidence was found to indicate anything criminal had occurred.
— Loud ATVs and reckless operation were reported in the area of 18th Street Heights at 12:34 a.m. Saturday. No people were found driving reckless on ATVs. Several people were advised to be careful and not to drink while operating the machines over the weekend. All agreed to be safe over the weekend.
— Deputies were called at 11:44 p.m. Friday to Old Irondale Road in Yellow Creek Township for a complaint of ATVs and people causing a disturbance and being loud. A deputy observed several people with ATVs. The property owner was contacted and advised that criminal charges could be filed if the noise continued. After a brief disagreement, the deputy left and documented that the property owner was advised of possible charges of disorderly conduct if they continued.
