Lisbon

— Officers responded at 5:22 p.m. on Thursday to West Spruce Street for a reported domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. Upon arrival, police spoke with all parties involved and after an investigation police arrested Daniel L. Scott Jr., 43, Lisbon, for felony domestic violence, strangulation and violating a protection order — all felonies.

— Officers responded at 2:49 pm. on Wednesday a call regarding property damage on Market Street. A resident reported a man had broken her door. After inspecting the door, there was no visible damage.

— Officers responded at 11:23 a.m. on March 12 to a report of trash sitting out next to the road outside the scheduled on East Chestnut. Residents advised they just changed the garbage company and the trash would be picked up the next day.

— Officers assisted EMS at the Counseling Center at 4:19 p.m. on March 5.

— Officers responded at 6:41 p.m. on March 4 to the Counseling Center in Lisbon for a report of an employee being harassed by their ex-boyfriend. Upon arrival police spoke with the female complainant who advised that their ex-boyfriend has been calling and texting their cell phone along with calling their place of employment harassing the complainant. While on scene the ex-boyfriend arrived and was briefly detained by officers while conducting their investigation. The ex-boyfriend was advised to not contact the complainant.

— Officers responded at 5:02 p.m. on March 3 to the West Washington Street for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, police spoke with all parties involved and determined no charges would be filed due to lack of injuries or threats of violence. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other for the remainder of the evening.

— A K-9 officer was requested at 5:29 p.m. on March 3 by a trooper for narcotics detection during a traffic stop on state Route 11 near state Route 344. On arrival, canine Otis was deployed to conduct a free air sniff for narcotics which concluded in alerting to narcotics odor being present. A search of the vehicle was conducted and located suspected narcotics paraphernalia.

— Officers were dispatched to assist with a two vehicle accident at 9:43 p.m. on March 2 on state Routes 30 and 172 involving a fuel truck and a sedan.

— Officers spoke to a female outside of the station at 3:11 p.m. on March 2. She appeared to be disoriented and suffering from a possible mental health issue and believed that her cigarettes had been laced with a drug. She requested an ambulance and was transported to Salem hospital.

— A K-9 officer was dispatched at 9:57 p.m. on March 1 to conduct narcotics detection for a trooper on a traffic stop in the area of state Route 154 near Scroggs Road. On arrival, Canine Otis was deployed to conduct a free air sniff for narcotics which concluded in alerting to the presence of narcotics odor. A search of the vehicle was conducted and located several items of suspected narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia.

East Palestine

— Officers took a report that an East Street resident had been bitten by his own dog at 4:22 a.m. on March 18.

— Officers responded at 5 p.m. to North Market on March 17 to a report of illegal parking. No violation was found.

— Officers took a report from a woman on East Main Street at 7 p.m. on March 16 who advised her husband had taken her keys and left the residence

— Officers responded to a report that a woman found a suicide note from her boyfriend at 12:04 a.m. on march 15 on West Clark Street. Officers found the man on the porch and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

— Officers assisted in locating a loose dog at 10:14 a.m. on March 15 on North Walnut Street.

— Officers took a report from a man on East Highland Street regarding property damage at 8:19 p.m. on March 15.

— Officers accompanied an employee with the Columbiana County Children Services to Bacon Street at 10:06 a.m. on March 14. A 17-year-old was taken into custody.

— Officers respond to a noise complaint on East Martin Street at 1:10 a.m. on March 14.

— Officers respond to a noise complaint on Wood Street at 11:54 p.m. on March 13.

— Officers secured an open door at a North Market business at 1:52 a.m. on March 11.

— Officers took information from a resident at 7:59 p.m. regarding an incident that occurred in Boardman and text messages that followed on March 11.

— Officers responded at 7;27 p.m. to East Taggart for a private property accident on March 11.

— Officers spoke to a man after a person reported he was having suicidal thoughts at 11:55 a.m. on March 11. The man denied having any issue and refused intervention.

— Officers responded at 5:37 p.m. to Leake Street on March 10 to a report of a man riding a dirt bike. Officers located a juvenile riding a small dirt bike while being supervised by his parents.

— Officers took a report at 4:33 p.m. to a report of several dogs in a home on Park Avenue. Officers advised they would look into village ordinances to see if any code violations have occurred.
