Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies were dispatched at 12:32 a.m Sunday to American Legion Post 442 in Salineville in reference to an assault. An investigation was pending.

— At 10:56 a.m. Saturday on McIntosh Road in Madison Township, deputies were dispatched to assist multiple fire departments for a man driving a gray Jeep through a blocked road on McIntosh Road near Township Line Road. Shortly after, the man took off, hit a fire truck, ran over multiple tools and nearly hit multiple firefighters. The fire chief followed behind him until deputies arrived at the man’s residence on Wells Hollow Road. The man was identified as David Ours, 55, Wells Hollow Road, Wellsville, who was charged with criminal damaging or endangering for the incident. He was also cited for operating a vehicle impaired, failing to stop after an accident and driving through a safety zone.

— A woman on Chestnut Lane, Hanover Township, reported at 6:31 p.m. Saturday that her 8-year-old daughter received an unwanted message on social media from a person claiming to be a 13-year-old male. She was told to block the account and contact the social media site administrator.

— Deputies returned a phone call in reference to a civil matter listed as a property dispute at 12:14 a.m. Saturday on Homeworth Road, Knox Township.

— Deputies were dispatched at 12:36 a.m. Saturday to Bell Road in Elkrun Township regarding a bull at large. Upon arrival, one deputy spotted the bull while the second deputy gathered the owner and a wrangler to capture the bull. The bull was successfully captured and led back to the owner’s property.

— A deputy was dispatched to Burtview Place, Butler Township, for a domestic dispute report and both parties signed a refusal.

— Personnel from Calcutta West Point KOA Journey, East Liverpool Road, Madison Township, requested a report at 7:22 p.m. Friday that a woman was trespassing on the property and harassing campers. Staff escorted her off of the property and she was advised to stay off of the property. If she returns, charges will be filed.

— A man reported at 6 p.m. Friday that he’s watching his neighbor’s property on Ganders Flat Road, Elkrun Township. He reported people were at the lake and no one is to be there. A deputy spoke to two men, one from Lisbon and one from Salineville, and told them to leave.

— A man on Black Road, Center Township, reported at 3:41 p.m. Friday that his neighbor is always letting his dog run loose and it comes onto his property.

— A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:14 a.m. Friday in the area of Bandy and Buck roads. The vehicle was located at the residence that matched the registration.

— A deputy was dispatched at 11:52 a.m. Thursday to do a welfare check on a juvenile on Pancake Clarkson Road, Middleton Township. The child was found to be fine and sleeping.

— A man on Lisbon Road, Salem Township reported 7:17 p.m. Thursday that his neighbor plays loud music all day and night and the volume is turned up and down. Upon arrival, a deputy did not hear any music but the neighbor was advised of the complaint.

— A woman was reported walking in and out of traffic on Depot Road near Winona Road in Salem Township at 3:21 p.m. Thursday, but was not found.

— A woman on Applegate Road, Center Township reported at 10:50 p.m. March 12 that another woman on Depot Road, Center Township, was posting untrue statements about her and her family on social media. She was told to contact the social media site administrator and an attorney.

— A woman in Knox Township reported at 5:52 p.m. March 12 that she purchased a motor online from a company in St. Paul, Minn. for $1,550 and the company is saying the motor got lost in the mail and she needs to send another $600 for them to resend it. She was advised to contact the St. Paul, Minn. police.

— Dispatch received a call at 4:53 p.m. from the Ohio State Highway Patrol that a white Ford Escape pulled off of the road on state Route 11 by the state Route 344 exit, Fairfield Township, and three males with black masks got out of the vehicle. A deputy check the area, with no one there.

— A man on U.S. Route 62, Butler Township reported at 4:06 p.m. March 11 that his firearm was stolen from inside his vehicle. The firearm was entered into the law enforcement data base.

Lisbon

— Officers responded at 4:01 p.m. on Friday to the VFW for a medical. Police stood by until no longer needed.

— Officers responded at 1:37 p.m. on Friday to West Washington Street for a reported disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, police found that a semi was making the turn at South Lincoln Avenue and West Washington Street and clipped the curb causing the front left tire to come off the rim. Police stood by until a mobile mechanic could respond and fix the tire.

— Police responded at 8:48 a.m. on Friday to Corner Auto for a male to be removed. Police arrived and spoke with the male and gave him a courtesy transport to his residence.

— Officers responded at 3:52 a.m. on Thursday to the Kendal House for a report of a male having a seizure. Officers arrived and assisted Northstar until no longer needed. Northstar transported the male to St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Boardman.

— Officers were advised Wednesday at 3:44 p.m. that a welfare check was needed at a village residence but were not provided the address. Officers located a house matching the description being at on West High Street. The resident there advised everything was okay.

— Officers assisted Columbiana County deputies at the Common Pleas Courthouse at 4:42 p.m. on Wednesday for a trial that was becoming argumentative. Police sat in the parking lot while parties involved in the trial dispersed.

— Officers responded at 7:04 p.m. on Wednesday to Circle K for a complaint about a woman pumping gas while smoking. Officers arrived but the woman was no longer there.

— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office in locating a missing person with dementia at 7:21 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the missing person. Officers were advised several hours later that the male was located.

— Officers responded at 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday to Dickey Drive for a panic alarm button. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with janitors who advised it was a false alarm.

— Officers responded at 4:43 p.m. on March 10 to West Washington Street for a domestic violence complaint. Officers spoke to both parties and after investigating, decided to have both parties separate for the rest of the evening. Officers cleared without further incident.

— Officers responded March 8 at 11:27 p.m. to the Lisbon Eagles for one to be removed. Officers spoke to the subject and provided a courtesy ride to his residence.

— K-9 officers responded at 10:12 p.m. on March 7 to state Route11 near state Route 344 to assist troopers and deputies in locating an alleged armed male that fled on foot from a traffic stop. While on scene, K-9 Otis was deployed to track the suspect who fled into a nearby wooded area. K-9 Otis continued tracking through a dense wooded area and into a nearby farm field and again returning back to state Route 11 where officers concluded the suspect to have been picked up.

— Officers responded at 10:01 a.m. on March 7 to the street department garage for a lockout on their dump truck. Entry was gained.

— Officers responded March 7 at 4:04 a.m. to the Hornsby House to check on a male calling about a terrorist “messing” with his electricity. Officers arrived and assured him no threat existed.

— Officers responded at 4:17 p.m. on March 7 to Grandview Street for a reported motor vehicle lockout. Police unlocked the vehicle without incident.

— Officers responded at 2:38 p.m. on March 7 along with North Star Ambulance to West Washington Street for a reported medical. Upon arrival, EMTs evaluated the victim and decided that Life Flight was needed. Police, along with the Lisbon Fire Department, set up a landing zone on Dickey Drive Stat Media-Vac arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.

— Officers responded on March 6 at 11:37 p.m. to North Market Street for a theft. Officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who stated that property was taken by an ex. Police made contact with the other party who stated that the complainant helped the other party move all of the items reported as stolen to a new location before the two individuals broke up. The other party stated that the complainant was told they could come and retrieve the items at any time. The complainant was advised that the incident was a civil issue and they needed to arrange a time to retrieve their property.

— Officers responded on March 3 at 9:13 a.m.to the Lisbon car wash for a single vehicle crash.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 9:44 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the man in question who advised that he was going through a rough time in his life now and just wanted to talk. Officers stayed and listened to the person while offering further avenues of assistance and they were advised to the come to the police department the next day, where a member of peer support will meet with him and assist him further and to call back if he needed them.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Sixth Street at 8:07 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check on a woman. Officers were present when the woman pulled into her driveway and observed her to be upset and crying, at which time she made a statement of harming herself. The fire department responded, and she was voluntarily transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for further treatment.

— Officers responded to the police department at 7:24 p.m. Sunday for a person wanting options regarding an ongoing neighbor issue.

— Officers responded to the 2400 block of Southeast Boulevard at 6:48 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. The caller advised that they had ordered a pizza and when they went to pick it up nobody was inside, and food was left on the counters. Officers checked inside the vehicle and observed nobody inside. A keyholder was driving by and noticed that officers were present advising that everyone walked out.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:22 p.m. Sunday for a report of a power line that caught on fire. Officers observed the power line to be in Perry Township’s jurisdiction and the Perry Township Fire Department was notified and responded.
