— Officers responded to the area of North Broadway Avenue and East Third Street at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious person. Officers checked the area and found that everything checked okay.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that there was a male juvenile at her house that she did not want there. The juvenile advised they we’re going to their grandmother’s house for the night.
— Officers responded to the area of East Pershing Street and South Broadway Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday for a reported runaway juvenile. Officers located the juvenile behind the Salem Public Library and their mother was called to the scene. When she arrived, the juvenile refused to listen to the mother and officers, pushing his mother then headbutting her. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Tobin Center.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. One male was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail, and $100 was seized as evidence.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 7:19 p.m. Wednesday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller and their juvenile daughter advised that threats were made by another juvenile that lived outside the city. Officers collected all the information.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a reported disturbance. The caller advised that two female juveniles were outside attempting to get her juvenile daughter to fight them, and that this has been an ongoing issue which led to her daughter being removed from normal school hours and put into night school. The caller was advised to call if they return and that a report would be filed with the juvenile officer.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Washington Avenue at 3:14 p.m. Wednesday for a report of fraud. The caller advised they received an email that morning stating someone had tried to use his DoorDash card at the Walmart in East Liverpool. The caller advised that the transaction was denied, and he locked his card and contacted DoorDash, but he wanted a report on file.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday for a reported reckless operator. Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of South Ellsworth Avenue and did not observe any violations inside the city.
— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Maple Lane at 12:19 p.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. Dispatch advised they witnessed what appeared to be someone smoking marijuana in the pavilion. Officers spoke with the person and the marijuana was confiscated due to their age. While speaking with them officers learned they were experiencing some issues with their home life and wanted to speak with a member of the CIT team. They were given a ride to the police department where they met with CIT.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday for a reported theft. The caller advised that someone unknown to him had removed a U Haul car dolly from the business without his knowledge or permission. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9 a.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal damaging. The caller advised that someone had damaged the outside brick staircase. He advised that it was going to be demolished anyway but needed a report on file as it was a rental property.
— Officers responded to the 2100 block of Pearce Circle at 8:52 a.m. Wednesday for a reported theft. The caller advised they were conducting an online transaction when they lost a considerable amount of money. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday for a reported ambulance needed. The caller advised that they were having medical issues and wanted to be transported to the hospital. The caller was transported to Alliance hospital by EMT for medical attention.
