Sheriff’s Office
— The Columbiana County Dog Warden requested at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday that a deputy standby at a residence on Glasgow Road, Madison Township, while multiple dogs were taken from the owner, who was making suicidal comments. A deputy spoke with the person, who was fine, and with family.
Lisbon
— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop at the intersection of West Washington and South Beaver Street at 12:04 a.m. on Monday.
— Deputies responded to an alarm drop at the vet clinic on Race Road on Sunday at 08:06 a.m. All doors were secure and a key holder was notified.
— Police spoke with a subject in reference to obtaining a protection order and advised them of the steps they would have to take Sunday at 4:28 p.m.
— Officers responded at 2:25 p.m. on Sunday to West Washington Street for a domestic dispute. It was found to be verbal and the parties separated.
— Officers assisted a disabled vehicle at the BP station at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The driver needed the vehicle to jump started. He stated that he had someone on the way and would call if he needed a tow.
— Police responded at 3:41 p.m. on Monday to East Chestnut Street for a reported possible civil issue. Police spoke with the complainant and advised them of their options.
— Officers assisted a homeless male with options on getting assistance for a shelter at 1:05 p.m. on Friday.
— Officers responded at 5:40 p.m. on Friday to East Washington Street for a reported parking complaint. Upon arrival, police checked the parked vehicle and found no violation or issues.
— Officers responded to 122 S. Beaver Street at 10:26 .am. on Friday to a request to assist in removing a person from the premises. The male subject agreed to leave the premises.
— Officers responded to a traffic crash in the parking lot of Municipal Court at 9:53 a.m. on Friday.
— Police initiated a traffic stop at 10:22 on Friday on a truck and trailer for no tail lights at East Lincoln Way and Vine Street. While conducting the traffic stop, the driver, Nathan Adams, no age or address given, was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Adams was arrested and charged with OVI, underage OVI and no tail lights and was later released to a family member.
— Officers responded at 9:09 a.m. on Friday to Municipal Court for a lockout. Entry was gained.
— Police responded at 6:33 p.m. on Thursday to East Lincoln Way to assist North Star ambulance with a reported medical with a combative male subject. Police stood by with North Star until no longer needed.
— Officers were advised at 8:13 a.m. on Wednesday of a driver with a trailer that was slightly dragging and sparking. The vehicle due was not located.
— Officers located a male at 12:04 a.m. on Wednesday who appeared to be very intoxicated and stumbling within the roadway on North Market Street near Vista Drive. Officers spoke with the male who advised that he was trying to go home to his apartment on Rose Drive. An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper gave the male a courtesy transport to his residence.
— Officers responded at 8 p.m. on Tuesday to Circle K for a report of an altercation between a customer and the clerk. Upon officers’ arrival, a female said she was upset because the clerk would not sell her a pack of cigarettes due to the male that was with her identified as Stacen Young, not having his ID on him. The clerk who advised her manager did not want them trespassed. Both parties advised that everything was verbal. The customers were advised to leave for the night.
— Officers arrested Dallas Gotschall, 18, after receiving a report of an active domestic in the 100 block of South Beaver Street at 8:12 on Feb. 21. Gotschall was charged with domestic violence.
Salem
— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force with a search warrant in the 600 block of East Perry Street at 8:43 a.m. Monday. While on scene officers took Nicolas Stockford, 31, Lisbon, into custody for an outstanding warrant and he was transported to the Columbiana County jail.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Third Street at 7:20 a.m. Monday for a report of child endangering. The caller advised that two young juveniles were outside and neither had a shirt on and one only had on a coat. Officers spoke with the mother who advised that she fell asleep after work and her boyfriend did not use the correct lock for the door. Information was collected and will be sent to children services.
— The school resource officer and a student counselor spoke with a student about an ongoing issue at the school at 2:25 p.m. Monday. After speaking with the student, a parent was contacted and advised of the issue.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Monroe Street at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday for a reported 911-open line. Officers spoke to the residents, and everything appeared to be okay.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 3:06 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious substance. The caller located a small Ziplock baggie containing a trace amount of an unknown substance in the lobby trash can. Due to the small amount and inability to determine who may have dumped the baggie, it was properly disposed of.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday for a reported fight. When officers arrived, the fight was already over, and the involved parties had separated. Officers were also advised of a vehicle fleeing the scene which officers located, conducting a traffic stop. After investigation it was determined that two juvenile females got into a mutual physical altercation and spoke to both juveniles and their parents.
— Officers responded to the area of Aetna Street and South Lincoln Avenue at 9:37 p.m. Tuesday for a possible fight. The caller advised that woman was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle and officers located them in the area of Aetna and Lundy and spoke with the driver who had small spots of blood on his shirt and pants and advised that his girlfriend had struck him in the face after an argument, and the driver did not want to pursue any charges. The girlfriend and passenger gave officers a similar story and the juvenile’s mother was called to the scene.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. Officers spoke with the caller and advised him to contact the proper department.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday for a reported civil matter. Officers spoke with both parties advising them that the matter was civil and sent them on their way.
