Sheriff’s Office

— A welfare check was requested at 6:33 p.m. Thursday on a person on Carmel Achor Road, Middleton Township. The person was located on Thomas Road, Lisbon. Lisbon Police spoke with the person, who was fine.

— Deputies were dispatched at 6 p.m. Thursday to Wells Hollow Road, Yellow Creek Township, for a person having mental health issues. The person said he was fine, but wanted to go to the hospital. Northstar EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool. Liverpool Township Police assisted.

— A deputy was dispatched at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday to Lynchburg Road, West Township for an assault report. All parties involved separated for the night.

— A woman on state Route 45, Center Township reported at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday that a suspicious person was in the woods behind her residence. A deputy checked the property and the area, with no contact with anyone.

— A woman on 18th Street Heights in Yellow Creek Township reported at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday that her son was threatened by a classmate on the school bus after school.

— A deputy was dispatched to Case Road, Knox Township for a medical call involving a juvenile possibly having a seizure. Damascus EMS transported the juvenile to Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman.

— Village of Hanoverton Mayor Becky Kibler reported at 12:07 a.m. Feb. 23 that a semi truck damaged the guardrail on First Street just north of Canal Street in Hanoverton.

— A criminal damage report was taken at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 22 at Dad’s Deals, Westville Lake Road, Knox Township.

St. Clair Township

— Officers discharged one round to put down a severely injured deer that couldn’t move on St. Clair Avenue on Feb. 13.

— Timothy Reaggle, 19, address not provided, was arrested and charged with felonious assault, assault, and fleeing and eluding after leading officers on a pursuit when they responded to a report of a female actively being assaulted at a Samuel Street residence. Officers spoke to three people at the residence who said they were assaulted by him.

— Officers checked a vehicle that was reported as suspicious in the back parking lot of Quality Inn on Feb. 14. They spoke with a female who said she had a room at the inn but was waiting on someone to return with a part for her car which would not start.

— Officers called Calcutta Towing to remove a vehicle that had been involved in a single vehicle crash on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road after a rear tire had blew causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle on Feb. 14.

— Officers checked the Walmart parking lot on Feb. 14 searching for a reported male that got into a vehicle wanting a ride. Officers located the male who wasn’t making any sense to them. This was the same male East Liverpool had similar issues with earlier in the day. Officers pink slipped the male and called EMS to have him evaluated. North Star transported him to the hospital.

— Officers conducted a welfare check on Feb. 15 on a Summerset Drive resident who has been known to have issues before. Officers were unable to make contact with the resident.

— An officer spoke with a female at Highland Apartments who told them on Feb. 15 that she was hearing someone on her roof. After checking the area, officers told the female they did not find anything. An officer was again dispatched to the Highland Apartments on Feb. 15 to speak with a female who said someone was kicking her door. Officers reassured her that no one was kicking her door, and the area was checked with no one found.

— Officers found the A-1 Express Gas Stop to be secure after responding to the location for an alarm drop on Feb. 15.

— Officers found Aarons Rental to be secure after responding to the location for an alarm drop on Feb. 16.

— Officers responded multiple times on Feb. 17 to the Old Three Brothers car lot on St. Clair Avenue for an alarm that had been going off for a couple of days. Officers were not able to reach any keyholders regarding the alarms.

— PNC Bank requested officers do a welfare check on a male because of things he was saying the phone to them. Officers checked the male’s residence but were unable to make contact with him.

— Officers spoke with a male on Feb. 17 who was reported by a third party to be assaulting a female inside their vehicle on state Route 170. The female left the scene without talking to officers. The male said they were only arguing.

East Palestine

— Officers responded at 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday to South Washington Street for a wellness check and made contact with the resident.

— A woman came to the station to report a theft at 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday. The female advised she didn’t want to press charges but wanted to file on report for the record.

— A resident on South Washington Street reported fraudulent charges to his EBT card at 12:01 p.m on Tuesday.

— Officers responded to West Martin Street to a report of a suspicious person but were unable to locate any subject at 2:13 a.m. on Tuesday.

— A man called the station to report bank fraud at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The bank was located out of state and the resident was advised to call that jurisdiction.

— An employee at a West Taggart business reported finding the door to the business open upon arriving at work at 12:54 p.m. on Monday.

— The East Palestine zoning officer notified the police department about zoning issues on East North Avenue, West Clark Street and Alice Street at 5:23 p.m. on Monday. The department sent the resident a notification and 10 days to remedy the violation.

— Officers took a report at 2:28 p.m. on Saturday regarding a theft. Officers spoke to both parties involved and the issue resolved when property was returned.

— The Marathon Gas Station on North Market reported a theft at 2:28 p.m. on Saturday.

— Officers responded at 11:10 p.m. to the city park on Saturday to a report that the door was open on one of the bunk cabins and the lights were on. Officers found no one in the cabin but signs that someone had recently been inside. The cabin was secured and the scene cleared.

— Officers responded to the Claybrook Drive at 3:19 p.m. on Friday to conduct a wellness check and found an individual deceased at the residence. The fire department was called to assist.

— Officers spoke to a resident about a potential identity-theft scam at 5:04 p.m. on Friday. The matter is being investigated.

— Officers took a report of a possible fraud attempt from a woman on South Washington Street at 5:21 p.m. on Friday.

— Officers responded at 5:23 p.m. on Friday to Oak Street to a report of a dog at large. The dog was not located.

— Officers received a report at 9:45 p.m. on Friday of a dog on the roof of a residence on Park Avenue. Officers made contact with the resident and the dog was taken inside.

— Officers respond to a report of a noise complaint regarding the revving of an engine on Wood Street at 9:54 p.m. on Friday. Officers did not hear anything at the scene.
