Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy was dispatched at 7:21 p.m. Friday to the 1100 block of Cider Mill Road, Butler Township, for a Sirius XM emergency alert from a vehicle possibly in a motor vehicle crash. The area was checked, but nobody was found.
— A woman on Taylor Road, Middleton Township, reported a possible scam at 4:34 p.m. Friday, reporting that money in her bank account was transferred to her other bank account. She was advised to notify her bank.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported driving slowly in the area of state Route 517 in Elkrun Township at 8:55 p.m. Feb. 20, but when a deputy checked, nothing was found.
— A welfare check was requested for a person on Shelton Road, Butler Township at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 20, with negative contact. Then deputies were advised to check on U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, but again there was negative contact. Deputies made contact with the person by phone and learned the person wasn’t at either location and was fine.
— A deputy was dispatched at 3:20 p.m. Feb. 20 to Rochester Road, West Township, for a medical call. Sandy Creek EMS transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance.
— Deputies were dispatched at 10:05 p.m. Feb. 18 to Depot Road, Hanover Township for a domestic dispute.
— A missing person was reported at 6:31 p.m. Feb. 18 on Gills Lane, Hanover Township, but was found safe in Ashtabula County.
— A deputy was dispatched at 4:16 p.m. Feb. 18 to Dyke Road, Middleton Township for a domestic dispute.

— Officers responded at 2:29 p.m. on Friday to a call from a resident on South Beaver Street who reported her boyfriend was at her residence and she did not want him there. The woman advised her boyfriend had allegedly struck her in the face the day before, giving her a black eye. Officers did observe a black and blue bruise on her right eyelid that appeared to be fresh, with no yellowing or any signs of healing. The officers noted they were made aware of a reported domestic dispute the day prior. Contact was made with the boyfriend who denied striking the woman. He stated that she tackled him and began to hit him with a broomstick. Both declined to press charges. While at the residence officers noticed an open oven on and a shower running. The woman stated that her furnace is broken and that she is heating her house by running the hot water in the shower and leaving the oven door open.
— A West Washington Street resident came to the station at 10:34 a.m. to report that her granddaughter is communicating online with an individual claiming to be actor Keanu Reeves. The woman advised her granddaughter may have sent the individual money.
— An employee of Job and Family Services called the station at 9:01 a.m. on Tuesday to file a police report regarding a male that came in that morning seeking assistance. The man allegedly made threats when he was told his paperwork needed to be processed. The man reportedly said that when he made threats in the past it made his paperwork go through faster. Officers made contact with the man who admitted to saying comments but not making threats. The man also advised that he is experiencing mental health issues and has sought help at numerous places. He advised that he does not have any food or money to buy food. Officers discussed some options to help him get groceries.
— Officers responded at 11:56 p.m. to East Lincoln Way for a report of an unwanted subject. The complainant stated to dispatch that her daughter was sitting outside in her vehicle and she did not want her on the property. Officers advised the daughter she was trespassing and she left the property without issue. Officers tried to make contact with the complainant at the scene but she did answer the door.
