— A Washingtonville woman on Boston Street reported at 7:29 p.m. Thursday that her ex-boyfriend was driving past her residence and sending her unwanted text messages from different numbers. She was advised how to obtain a protection order.
— A suspicious person was reported at 5:28 p.m. Thursday at McDonald’s, state Route 45, Center Township, where a deputy learned a man with an open container of alcohol was asking for a ride and someone gave him a ride to Lisbon.
— A deputy was dispatched at 3:32 p.m. Thursday to Thomas Market, First Street, Hanoverton, for a theft report. A warrant for theft was issued out of Columbiana County Municipal Court for a man from Carroll County.
Leetonia
— Police responded to a tavern shortly before 10 p.m. Dec. 19 for a medical emergency and the alleged victim, who owns the establishment, threatened EMS workers to get off her property or risk being sued. The woman’s employee had called as her boss was hyperventilating and had stopped breathing twice. Police witnessed her make the comment before refusing assessment or treatment.
— Officers were dispatched at 7:23 p.m. Dec. 21 to the first block of Walnut Street to investigate a 911 hangup/open line. Apparently they had been startled after a dementia sufferer let himself into their home. They offered the man a courtesy transport back to his home.
— A woman reported at 9 p.m. that her teenage son had been photographed while in the shower by an uncle. The incident occurred in Washingtonville, so the officer advised that a report would need to be filed in that jurisdiction.
— A man in the 200 block of Ridge Street reported at 5:57 p.m. Dec. 25 that he heard a loud explosion to the west of his residence. Nothing was found.
— A reckless red Ford Focus was reported at 2:56 p.m. Dec. 28 on state Route 344 coming from Salem. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
