— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Quaker Circle at 2:35 p.m. Thursday for a reported solicitor. Officers were unable to locate the person in question.

— Officers responded to the area of Penn Avenue and Walnut Street at 12:50 p.m. Thursday for a reported solicitor. The person was located and advised of the city laws regarding soliciting. The person advised he was informed otherwise but would make the company aware to cease further activity in the city.

— Officers responded to the area of West Pershing Street and Sharp Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a woman who officers were advised was walking in the middle of the road. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that she was fine and had only been crossing the street on the way to her mother’s house.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 9:50 a.m. Thursday who advised that while walking their dog they found counterfeit money on the ground.

— Officers spoke with a person by phone at 9:44 a.m. Thursday for a report of a man that allegedly was going to bring a firearm to a medical facility in the city. After investigation it was found that no threat was made and the matter was a misunderstanding.

— Officers observed a vehicle with a broken taillight that was emitting white light to the rear in the 100 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 5:11 a.m. Thursday. A registration check showed an active warrant out of Columbiana County and officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver, whose name was not listed, was detained. The warrant was checked and showed that it was for a different man that the driver had a protection order against. The driver was released and was given a warning for white light to the rear.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 2:11 a.m. Thursday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised she was okay, and her phone was just dead.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 2:02 a.m. Thursday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the residents who advised that a child had gotten the phone.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 1:01 a.m. Thursday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers had a language barrier with the person but using Google Translate were advised that the resident’s son has autism and accidentally called and everything was okay.

— While officers were sitting stationary in the 1000 block of East State Street at 10:13 p.m. Wednesday a vehicle pulled up to speak with them. The person in question advised that someone stole their watch in Leetonia. Officers advised her that she would have to make a report with Leetonia police.
