Highway Patrol
— Madalyn Thrasher, of Georgetown Road in Homeworth, was cited at 5:30 a.m. Nov. 12 in Knox Township for reasonable control, after she went off the right side of Georgetown Road while traveling eastbound and struck a guardrail.
— Willis Brink, of Whinnery Road in Salem, was cited at 6:50 a.m. Nov. 19 for impeding traffic and expired registration, after he stopped his eastbound vehicle on state Route 344, exited it and was backed into by Mark Fowler, of Jefferson Avenue in Salem. Fowler also was cited for improper backing.
— John Cresanto, of Bacon Avenue in East Palestine, was cited at 3:20 p.m. Nov. 18 in Unity Township for reasonable control, after driving off the right side of the road when eastbound on state Route 46, striking a ditch and overturning.
— Matthew Carle, of Hartley Road in Beloit, was cited at 1:45 p.m. Nov. 15 in Knox Township for reasonable control, after traveling off the right side of Homeworth Road, overcorrecting, crossing the center line and going off the left side of the road before striking a ditch and cable box then overturning.
— Matthew McCullough, of Lee Avenue in Lisbon, was cited at 4:51 p.m. Nov. 15 for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after rear-ending a vehicle by Michael Witmer, of state Route 517 in Lisbon, that was turning off state Route 517 into a private driveway.
— Arthur Herman, of state Route 154 in Lisbon, was not cited at 3:55 p.m. Nov. 20 after his southeastbound vehicle encountered a tree in the roadway on state Route 154.
— Keith McCoy, of Padgett Road in East Palestine, was not cited after striking a piece of metal in the road at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 20, while traveling eastbound on state Route 344.
— Benjamin Wilson, of Corapolis, Pa., was cited at 9:11 p.m. Nov. 17 in Fairfield Township for reasonable control, after traveling off the right side of state Route 558, while traveling westbound and struck an embankment and pole.
East Palestine
— Officers responded at 9:25 p.m. to a report of a runaway juvenile on Garfield Avenue on Monday. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers made contact with a resident at 12:34 p.m. on Monday regarding a complaint about a postal driver. Information was gathered and a complaint was filed with the postmaster at the post office on North Market Street.
— Officers responded to a report of a missing person from BALA Management at East Taggart Street at 10:37 a.m. on Monday. The individual was located and returned to the custody of a BALA Management supervisor.
— Officers took a report at the station at 10:44 p.m. on Saturday from a man regarding stolen property at his home on Park Avenue. The matter is being investigated.
— Kimberly Lindsay, no age or address given, was arrested and charged with OVI, marked lanes and no license plate lights following a traffic stop on Bacon Avenue at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.
— Officers responded at 8:09 p.m. to West North Avenue on Saturday for a car blocking a driveway. The owner of the vehicle was located and the vehicle was moved.
— Officers responded to West Clark Street for an animal complaint at 2:17 p.m. on Saturday.
— Officers conducted a welfare check on East North Avenue at 10:50 p.m. on Friday.
Salem
— An officer responded to the 1400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9:22 a.m. Friday in reference to a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot for an extended period of time. It was found to be unoccupied with nothing out of the ordinary. It was later found to have broken down.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 10:18 p.m. Thursday in reference to a domestic dispute and found a verbal dispute only.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:51 p.m. Thursday in reference to animals inside a condemned building. Officers notified the county dog warden.
— A woman reported on station at 2:27 p.m. Monday a situation in which a person known to her was possibly following her. She was advised of some options for dealing with the situation.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Monday in reference to a property dispute. Officers spoke with the people involved and advised them it was a civil matter.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 11:35 p.m. Sunday in reference to a fight. Prior to arrival, officers learned the man the in question had fled the scene on foot, but had been cornered by the complainant. The man in question was detained and officers learned he had barged into the complainant’s home and assaulted the complainant. The complainant did not want to pursue charges and the Salem Fire Department and EMT were requested to evaluate the man in question, who appeared to be coming down off a narcotic. The man in question was transported to the Salem hospital.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fifth Street at 11:04 p.m. Sunday to assist the Salem Fire Department with a medical involving an intoxicated man. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
— Donavain M. Casey, 18, homeless (last known address in Lisbon), was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for felony-4 robbery after officers responded to the area of North Howard Avenue and West Ninth Street at 7:43 p.m. Sunday in reference to a suspicious person.
— An officer responded to the 1800 block of East State Street at 3:45 p.m. Sunday in reference to a man hitchhiking and walking into the roadway. The officer spoke with the man in question and advised him hitchhiking is illegal and to stay out of the roadway.
— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 3:08 p.m. Sunday in reference to a man being discharged who was refusing to leave. Officers escorted the man off the premises without incident.
— An officer responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 2:09 p.m. Sunday in reference to a customer who attempted to pass all points of sale without paying for multiple grocery items. The customer had already left before officers arrived.
— An officer responded to the 200 block of Park Avenue at 11:39 a.m. Sunday where a resident reported their neighbor doesn’t keep their dog on a leash and the dog had attacked their cat in their back yard a couple weeks ago. The officer spoke with the neighbor and advised him of the leash laws in the city.
