— Officers received a call at 5:21 p.m. Nov. 19 from a resident in the 46000 block of Taylor Avenue regarding a question about a protection order. It was learned that the incident had occurred outside the village.
— The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office reported at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 18 a possible sex offense that occurred at a residence in the 46000 block of state Route 46. The matter is under investigation.
— A 46000 block Taylor Avenue resident reported at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 18 a telecommunications harassment complaint.
— Officers responded to the 3000 block of Colony Drive at 3:26 p.m. Nov. 18 in reference to a neighbor dispute. Officers were able to speak with both residents to resolve the issue.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue at 10:59 p.m. Monday for a reported juvenile problem. Contact was made with the caller, a juvenile male, who advised that he did not feel safe staying at the residence. Officers spoke with the adult on scene who is employed to stay with the juvenile in the home and care for him. It was determined nothing had happened and the juvenile just wanted to stay with his grandparents. Officers were able to convince the juvenile to relax in his room for the night.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 8:32 p.m. Monday for a reported woman needing medical assistance. Officers stood by for EMT.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:39 p.m. Monday for a report of two men possibly using a stolen credit card. The vehicle left prior to officers’ arrival.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block Cedar Ridge Drive at 10:18 p.m. Thursday for a reported domestic dispute. Offices spoke with both parties and found the incident to be verbal only with nothing physical.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fariview Avenue at 8:27 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a juvenile feeling unsafe. When officers arrived that caller and his aid advised that his mother had come to the residence unannounced for a third day in a row. This creates an issue with the juvenile causing him to act out and get physically sick. At this time there is nothing preventing the mother, who is also the juvenile’s guardian, from checking in on him. A supplement will be completed, and the report will be faxed to Columbiana County Children Protective Services for further review.
— Officers responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 4:51 p.m. Thursday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised that while attempting to get gas her card was declined but she had a pending charge on her card for the pump hold. Employees explained that there is a hold on all cards and the money will be reimbursed within 48 hours, and the caller wanted a report on file in case the money is not reimbursed.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:51 p.m. Thursday for a reported animal complaint. The residence in question had been condemned by the city and reportedly had animals inside. Officers notified the county dog warden, and they stated that they would respond to the residence on Friday to take care of the issue.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 3:34 p.m. Thursday for a reported theft. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that someone unknown to him took his motorcycle without his knowledge or permission. The information was taken, and the item was registered into LEADS.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Columbia Street at 12:23 p.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious person. Officers were advised by the caller that he observed a person on his back porch via his Ring camera. Officers checked the area but were unable to contact anyone. The caller advised he would stop at the police department when he was able to so officers could view the camera footage.
— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 12:10 p.m. Thursday who advised that while at work in the city she located an air tag on her vehicle. The woman had also been having an ongoing issue with a man in the jurisdiction she lives in, which she already reported. The caller was advised that a report would be on file to contact officers if the man came to her work.
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Cleveland Street at 8:51 a.m. Thursday for a report of drug paraphernalia. The caller advised that while walking his kids to the bus stop, he located possible narcotics on the sidewalk. Officers collected the possible narcotics and transported them to the police department to be destroyed by the Drug Enforcement Task Force.
