Sheriff’s Office

— A domestic violence report was taken at 6:02 p.m. Saturday at the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office for an incident that occurred on state Route 7, Elkrun Township. A warrant for domestic violence was issued for a person with an address of state Route 7, Elkrun Township. In a separate report, the suspect had reported earlier at 3:49 p.m. Saturday that a relative wouldn’t give her any of her belongings and told her to move out. She was advised to contact an attorney and was advised of the eviction process.

— A welfare check was requested at 11:06 a.m. Saturday on Columbiana Lisbon Road in Fairfield Township where a man reported his stepfather was not allowing him into the home to see his mother because she was sick. Contact was made at the residence with no issues. The stepfather said the sheriff’s office could contact him directly in the future at a provided phone number.

— Deputies were called at 4:11 a.m. Saturday to an address on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township for an audible alarm. Prior to arrival, deputies were notified by dispatch that the keyholder arrived and checked the building and everything was okay, so deputies could disregard.

— Deputies were requested at 3:08 a.m. Friday to respond to a medical call with EMS on state Route 14 in Unity Township. While en route, they were told to disregard because the person was transported without problems.

East Palestine

— Officers spoke to a female at the station at 10:22 a.m. regarding a report of possible child abuse on Tuesday.

— Officers responded at 3:30 p.m. to East Taggart Street to a report of a disturbance involving a possibly intoxicated revving an engine in his vehicle on Tuesday. Officers cited Travis Sobnona, no age or address given, with physical control at the scene.

— Officers responded to Park Avenue to a report of yelling on Monday at 6:50 p.m. Officers made contact with two individuals and advised them to separate for the night.

— Officers respond to West Martin Street at 6:20 p.m. on Monday to a report of suspicious person but were unable to locate any subject in the area.

— Officers responded to East Highland Avenue for a civil matter regarding vehicle repossession at 1:20 p.m. on Monday.

— Officers responded at 4:08 p.m. on Nov. 10 to Wood Street regarding a neighbor dispute involving a vehicle sliding into a fence.

— Officers gave a courtesy ride to a man at 2:51 p.m. on Nov. 10 who was walking to his home on Brookdale Avenue in the rain.

— Officers made negative contact after responding to a report of yelling at 1:19 a.m. on West Rebecca Street on Nov. 10.

— Officers responded to a report of someone with a flashlight in an alley behind a home on West Martin Street at 12:06 a.m. on Nov. 9. At the scene, officers made contacts with the caller who was intoxicated and uncooperative, refusing to give officers any information. The scene was cleared and the caller later continuously called the station before being warned of a telecommunications harassment charge.

— Officers responded at 10:42 p.m. on Nov. 8 to West Martin Street after a caller reported she was being stalked and the person was in her yard. Officers were unable to locate the subject and advised the caller they would “keep an eye” on the home during routine patrol.

— Officers conducted a wellness check at 10:08 p.m. on Nov. 8 on West Main Street. EMS was called to transport the resident to a local hospital.

— Officers responded to a report of an assault at 4:28 p.m. on Nov. 8 on Wood Street. Anhtly Kelly, no age or address provided, was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing. A juvenile was also charged with assault and transported to the Tobin Center.

— Officers conducted a wellness check at 10:42 p.m. on Nov. 8 on West Clark Street.

— Officers responded at 5:10 a.m. on Nov. 7 to Circle K on North Market to a report that a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. While en route to the scene officers were advised the vehicle had crashed into a semi truck and pole at the intersection of North Market and Main Street. The suspect fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later in the area of South Market Street and Jimtown Road. Ronald Harper, no age or address provided, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, failure to control, driving under suspension, and OVI.

— Officers responded to an unknown trouble call at 3:22 a.m. on West Clark Street on Nov. 7.

— Officers responded at 8:27 p.m. to West Clark Street to a report of a disturbance on Nov. 6. Officers determined an altercation at the home was verbal and not physical. One party left the residence for the night.

— Officers responded at 11:16 p.m. on Nov. 5 to a domestic dispute on West Clark Street. The dispute was determined to be verbal.

— Officers responded to East Clark Street to a report of disturbance at 10:50 p.m. on Nov. 5. Jacob Greathouse, no age or address provided, was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

— Officers responded to North Market Street to an open 911 call at 10:23 p.m. on Nov. 5.
