County Sheriff

— Deputies were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to Grant Street, Center Township, for a person making suicidal threats. North Star EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital.

– A man on Hawk Road, West Township, reported at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday that suspicious vehicles were driving past his residence, then stopping down the road.

— A woman on Chamberlain Street, Middleton Township, reported at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday that automatic gun fire was heard in the area Monday and Tuesday.

— A burglary was reported at 1:41 a.m. Oct. 24 on Fairway Road, Madison Township, where a person advised believing an ex-boyfriend entered the residence and threw items around. It did not appear that any items had been taken and the resident signed a refusal to cooperate, advising they would just file for a protection order.

Salem

— Officers were contacted by children’s services regarding a sexual related offense that had been reported within the city at 1:45 p.m. Monday. Information was gathered to begin an investigation.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of South Lundy Avenue at 10:40 a.m. Monday to follow-up on a vehicle that was issued a 48-hour tow parking ticket on Oct. 30 and was still in the same parking spot. Officers contacted Sinsley’s Towing to remove the vehicle. While on scene officers located another vehicle on the roadway with expired plates. Officers spoke with the owner, issuing a warning for expired plates, and that if the vehicle didn’t get valid plates on the vehicle, it would be towed from the roadway.

— The school resource officer was advised of two female students fighting in a classroom at 10:39 a.m. Monday. When officers arrived, the fight had already broken up and one of the students was already being taken down to the office. Officers escorted the other student to the office, and it was found that the student that the officer escorted was the main aggressor in the incident and the other students’ parents wanted it to be sent to the juvenile prosecutor for charges.

— Officers responded to 300 block of Ohio Avenue at 9:48 a.m. Monday for a wellness check. The caller advised that a woman was sleeping in the front yard of a residence. Officers checked the residence finding a man sleeping on the back porch of the residence, which is condemned, who advised he was just hanging out. Officers advised them the house was condemned and to leave the property.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:05 a.m. Monday for a report of a dog being struck by a vehicle. The caller advised their dog ran out into the roadway and got struck by a vehicle. The vehicle didn’t stop, the dog ran away, and the caller had been unable to locate the dog.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 6:12 a.m. Monday for a report of theft. Officers were advised by the caller that his belongings were sitting alongside a building. And when he returned from his vehicle his hat and hunting gloves were gone. Officers advised they would watch video footage in an attempt to identify the person that took the belonging.

— Officers responded to the 2200 block of Edgewood Drive at 4:19 p.m. Sunday for a report of barking dogs. Officers checked the area but did not hear or observe any violations.
