Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies were dispatched at 9:46 p.m. Sunday to state Route 164 and Mattix Road for an initial 911 hangup call regarding a robbery. The victim had multiple deep lacerations on his hands and was taken to a hospital for treatment. It was advised that three males in a black four-door sedan stopped and two males, one wearing all black and one wearing digital woodland camo, jumped out of the vehicle and began to punch the victim in the face and stomach. One of the men pulled a knife out and cut the victim across both hands.

— On Saturday at 5:01 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Salineville Road West regarding a burglary. Upon arrival, a deputy observed glass covering the porch and kitchen area where a male allegedly attempted to gain entry into the residence to go after his ex-girlfriend, who was inside at the time. She sustained a minor laceration near her right eye from the glass shattering. Warrants were being issued against the male for aggravated burglary, felonious assault, criminal damaging and aggravated trespass.

— A Grant Street resident in Center Township reported at 6:11 p.m. Thursday that her new bank card was stolen from inside her mailbox.

— Trespassing was reported at 3:52 p.m. Thursday at Guilford Lake Estates, Spillway Road, Hanover Township, with warrants issued out of Columbiana County Municipal Court for two men accused of criminal trespassing.

— A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 10 on Bell Road, Elkrun Township, where a woman said she was thrown out of the residence. Deputies saw a man run into the residence but he would not answer the door. The woman was given a ride to Quality Inn, East Liverpool, where she was making arrangements to be picked up by a family member. There was no complaint of assault, only an argument.

— On Oct. 9 at 5:34 a.m., a deputy responded to Lower Elkton Road, Fairfield Township, to assist EMS on a medical emergency at a residence with no unlocked doors or windows for access. The fire department made entry and the residence was secured after the patient was assisted.

East Palestine

— Officers responded to West Martin Street at 1:03 a.m. on Sunday to a noise complaint.

— Officers responded at 5:34 a.m. on Sunday to East Main Street for a welfare check.

— Officers resigned at 9:07 on Saturday to a report of a suspicious person on West North Avenue. Negative contact was made.

— Officers responded to T&M Hardware on East Taggart Street to a report of theft at 10:05 a.m. on Friday.

— Officers responded to Garfield Avenue at 7:22 a.m. on Thursday after a report that a vehicle was taken without permission. When officers arrived, a female, identified as Kirsten Mirabelli, fled the residence. She was located a short time later hiding in a shed on East Main Street. Mirabelli, no age or address provided, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

— Officers responded to East Taggart Street at 6:24 a.m. to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers determined the owners of the car were working in the area.

— Officers on patrol observed an individual going in between houses on East Main Street at 2:23 a.m. on Thursday. It was later determined the subject was a resident.

— Officers responded at 8:55 p.m. to a report someone was shining a flashlight into the window of a home on Grant Street on Wednesday. Nothing suspicious was found.

— Officers responded at 3:31 p.m. on Wednesday to a hang-up 911 call in the area of Alice Street. No one in need of assistance was located.

— Officers responded to West Martin Street to a report of a loose dog at 1:02 p.m. on Wednesday. The owner of the dog was located.

— Officers responded at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday to the Circle K on North Market to a private-property crash in the parking lot.

— Officers on patrol forwarded a zoning violation to the zoning office at 8:16 a.m. on Leake Street.

— Officers responded to West Martin Street to a report of a dog continuously barking at 11:56 p.m. on Tuesday. Officer spoke to the dog owner and advised her to take the animal inside for the night.

— Officers responded at 7:56 p.m. on Tuesday to West Martin Street to a report of a four-wheeler being driven on the sidewalk. It was determined later that the ATV had been put away in a garage before officers arrived.

— A Wheathill Avenue resident reported at 7:09 p.m. on Oct. 22 that someone had borrowed his car but did not return it.

— Officers took a report at the station from a couple regarding a potential scam on Oct. 19 at 11:20 p.m.

— Officers responded at 7:54 p.m. on Oct. 19 to a report of a suspicious group in an alley behind West Clark Street. Officers searched the area but made negative contact.

— A male came to the station at 7:33 p.m. on Oct. 19 to report issues with school administration.

— Officers responded at 5:27 p.m. Oct. 19 to an East Taggart Street residence to conduct a welfare check.

— Officers responded at 9:36 a.m. on Oct. 19 to the laundromat to a report of juveniles loitering there. Officers advised them to leave.

— Officers responded to West High Street to a report of juveniles having thrown objects at a window of a residence. No damage was observed and officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers located the person in question and advised them that she was no longer welcome on the property and would be arrested if she returned. A neighboring business also wanted the woman trespassed and officers advised her of the consequences for returning to either property.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Sharp Avenue at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. The caller advised that they received a concerning test the previous night and spoke with the person who advised everything was okay and she did not need medical attention.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of West Wilson Street at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday for a possible traffic complaint. The caller advised their neighbor was speeding in the alley way and officers spoke with the neighbor who advised he was not speeding and has been having ongoing issues with his neighbor.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Jennings Avenue at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible tree down. Officers checked the area but did not observe anything out of the ordinary.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 6:34 p.m. Monday for a reported juvenile problem. Officers spoke with both parties and the juvenile left the area.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Morris Avenue at 5:56 p.m. Monday for a report of child endangering that the caller advised had occurred 30 minutes prior at a different location. Officers checked on the juvenile who was okay and will be turning all the information over to the detectives and Children Services. The incident is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 11:21 a.m. Monday for a reported assault. Officers spoke with the director of the facility who stated that two of the residents had been involved in a dispute. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 9:50 a.m. Monday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the source of the call.

— Officers responded to the area of North Union Avenue and East Third Street at 7:46 a.m. Monday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with the parties involved and the dispute was determined to be a juvenile issue. Officers advised all parties of their options for dealing with the issue.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 7:44 a.m. Monday for a reported disorderly person. The caller advised that the person had been causing issues with other guests and would like her to leave the property. Officers advised them of the complaint, and they agreed to leave.

— Officers observed a vehicle by the dumpster behind Goodwill at 2:56 a.m. Monday. Officers advised them to come back during daylight hours and ask for permission.

— While on scene in the 600 block of West Seventh Street at 4:07 p.m. Sunday for a separate incident officers were advised of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The caller advised he let a friend borrow his vehicle two days prior and she hasn’t brought it back. Officers contacted the woman by phone and advised her to return the vehicle, and she advised she would bring it back that day.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 3:35 p.m. Sunday for a reported suspicious person. The caller received information about a white man behind the plaza building possibly smoking contraband. Officers checked the surrounding area but were unable to locate the man in question.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of West Seventh Street at 3:20 p.m. Sunday for a reported loud person. Officers spoke with a man who stated he was just yelling because a known woman borrowed his vehicle two days prior and hadn’t brought it back.

— Officers on patrol in the area of South Broadway Avenue and Franklin Avenue at 3:59 a.m. Sunday for a observed a vehicle committing multiple traffic offenses. Officers attempted a traffic stop but it continued to flee the area. Officers will review footage of the area and attempt to identify the driver.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 3:37 a.m. Sunday for a reported breaking and entering. The caller advised that they were alerted on their surveillance system of motion detected and observed two people enter their detached garage before departing the area quickly. Officers searched the area and other garages within the completed to ascertain if anything else may have been entered. The caller checked his garage, and nothing was reported missing at that time.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Deming Street at 10:50 p.m. Saturday to assist the fire department with a structure fire. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
