Salem

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Avenue at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday for a juvenile complaint. The caller advised they are having problems with their juvenile daughter. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday for a possible irate person. Officers spoke with the person who was not irate and advised they were just waiting on a ride to their doctor’s apartment.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday for a person to be removed. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone on the property.

–Officers responded to the 800 block of Adams Avenue at 11:54 p.m. Friday to detain a man with charges for the Columbiana Police Department. Officers located the man, placed him into custody and transported him to the police department where Columbiana Officers took custody of him.

–Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fifth Street at 10+47 p.m. Friday for a dispute between live-in-partners. Contact was made with one side, but the caller had already left the area. Officers were advised the matter was a verbal dispute over work problems but nothing physical had occurred.

–Officers responded to the 1100 block of Georgetown Road at 9:46 p.m. Friday to assist Perry Township Officers with a one-vehicle accident.

–Officers responded to the 1700 block of East Third Street at 4:33 p.m. Friday for a report of criminal trespass. The caller provided video surveillance of a man entering the neighbor’s vehicle while it was parked in the rear driveway. The owner was not present at the time of the call and officers will follow-up with them.

–Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Sixth Street at 2:32 p.m. Friday for a reported hit-and-skip. The caller advised that while in the parking lot during school hours their vehicle had been struck and that when they spoke with the school resource officer to check the cameras in the parking lot their vehicle was not in the camera’s view. The caller just wanted a report on file.

–Officers responded to the 300 block of South Broadway Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Friday to speak with a person who advised that a business had been graffitied approximately two weeks ago. While on scene officers were also advised that overspray from painting being done on the neighboring business had fallen on a vehicle parked in the rear of the business and the brick wall separating the two. Officers spoke with the neighboring business and advised them of the complaint, and they advised they would correct it. The graffiti was determined to be sidewalk chalk that could be removed if washed.

–Officers responded to the 800 block of Granite Avenue at 12:25 p.m. Friday for a barking dog complaint. Officers observed the dog to be quiet and it was taken inside by the owner prior to leaving the area.

–Officers responded to the 600 block of Fair Avenue at 2:14 a.m. Friday for a reported barking dog. Officers checked the area, but no barking dog was located.

–Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 1:42 a.m. Friday for a report of a disturbed person. The caller who advised that she wants to go to the hospital and EMT transported them.

–Officers responded to the 800 block of Adams Avenue at 9:49 p.m. Thursday to deliver a message for the Columbiana Police Department. Officers relayed the message.

–Officers spoke with a person regarding a juvenile being assaulted near Salem Schools on Wednesday. Officers collected information and the matter will be brought to the juvenile detective for further investigation.

–Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:17 p.m. Thursday for a report of three juveniles inside the caller’s home. The caller advised she did not know how the juveniles got into the house, and she first observed two of them inside the house attempting to take a shower, and after being told to leave the two went to the living room table where the third was and ate a banana. The caller was unsure how the juveniles left the residence before officers arrived and the residence was checked with nothing observed to show anyone was inside the residence. Contact was attempted with the caller’s son.

–Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 6:12 p.m. Thursday for a report of a missing person. Officers collected information about the matter and a detective was also notified and responded to assist.

–Officers responded to the 1100 block of Cleveland Street at 5:34 p.m. Thursday for a reported noise complaint. Officers spoke with them and advised them to keep it down for the night.

–Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fourth Street at 3:51 p.m. Thursday for a criminal trespassing report. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that she had moved into the residence recently and the precious tent was coming onto the property and getting mail from it, and they did not want them there. The caller provided a name and number, but officers were unable to contact the person in question.

East Liverpool

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East 4th Street on Oct. 12 for a report of two males trying to steal a stop sign. Officers were unable to locate the males or the vehicle the caller described.

— Officers checked the area of Armstrong Lane on Oct. 12 after a caller reported an unknown person knocking on her door.

— A verbal warning was issued to a driver for a turn signal violation following an Oct. 12 traffic stop on Avondale Street.

— Responding to an alarm in the 100 block of Maine Boulevard on Oct. 12, officers found two unsecured doors. Police checked the interior for anyone inside. A keyholder showed up and secured the doors.

— A warning was issued to a driver for an unreadable license plate following an Oct. 12 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— Officers spoke with a male in the 600 block of East 4th Street regarding a disturbance he was having with neighbors on Oct. 12. Officers spoke to the neighbors the male alleged was making noise and found nothing out of the ordinary.

— Officers took a report of a stolen license on Oct. 12 in the 700 block of Oak Street. The caller was advised to contact the BMV and cancel the current registration and get a new one. The stolen plate was entered into LEADS.

— Officers took a report from a male in the 800 block of Logan Avenue on Oct. 12. The male reported that his mother had broken into his home and damaged property. A statement was taken, and the case was sent to the prosecutor for review.

— Officers closed a portion of state Route 11 on Oct. 12 to allow medical help to arrive faster after responding to a male unresponsive behind the wheel of a car. Officers found the male to be pale and not breathing and administered CPR until EMS arrived and transported him to the hospital. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.

— Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Broadway Street on Oct. 12.

— Officer told a male who appeared to have mental health problems not to sit anymore on the porch of a house located in the 400 block of First Avenue after the owner claimed to not know the male and does not him sitting on his porch.

— Officers cleared a traffic stop on Oct. 12 on Goulding Street for a vehicle that appeared to have registration issues after the driver showed valid registration paperwork.

— Officers spoke with a female in the 300 block of Peach Avenue regarding her breaking things in her residence. She told officers she does not want to hurt herself or others, she just broke her items so no one would come in and take them.

— Officers checked the area of Wilbert Avenue on Oct. 13 for juveniles being outside after curfew. They checked the area and found no juveniles out.

— Charges will be pending for a male accused of stealing copper wire from a property on Erie Street after the property transfer is complete. Officers were called for the male being on private property taking what he said he thought was scrap. He was told to stay off the property.

— A verbal warning was issued to a female driver following an Oct. 13 traffic stop on Pennsylvania for impeding traffic.

— After a juvenile made allegations on Oct. 13 of being overly punished by his family, an officer talked to the juvenile and found it appears the mother is fed up and using alternative punishments with the juvenile. The officer noted that the punishments were not harmful and as an officer has no right to tell a parent how they will raise or punish their children.

— A driver was issued a warning for improper display of license plate which was obstructed by a spoiler on the car following an Oct. 13 traffic stop on state Route 39.

— Police checked the area of Bradshaw on Oct. 13 for a suspicious person reported by a female.

— An officer transported an adult and five juveniles back to their residence after finding then at the Wharf after hours on Oct.13. The female told the officer they had been waiting for over an hour and a half for a taxi that hadn’t showed up.

— Officers explained domestic violence laws to an unruly juvenile and advised the mother on how to press unruly charges after responding to a residence in the 800 block of Avondale Avenue on Oct. 13 for a juvenile punching wall and refusing to listen.

— A driver was issued a verbal warning following an Oct. 13 traffic stop on state Route for speed and no turn signal.

— Two juveniles were told to stay away from each other after officers responded to a bullying complaint on Wilbert Avenue on Oct. 13. Officers spoke with a female juvenile who said the male juvenile threw a rope at her. The male said the female was being mean to him.

— Officers were called for a report of a female and five or six juveniles sitting on Dresden Avenue on Oct. 13. Officers searched the area and found no one matching the description.

— George Dilling was issued a citation and court summons for public intoxication on Oct. 13 after an officer on patrol observed him to be staggering and intoxicated while walking on Summit Lane and observed a beer bottle in his hand.
