— Officers responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 5:47 p.m. Thursday for a reported road rage incident. The caller advised hat an unknown man pulled out in front of his vehicle causing him to throw up his hands, and at the next red light the man pulled up next to him and threatened to cause him physical harm.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Lundy Avenue at 5:35 p.m. Thursday to assist the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with a runaway juvenile. Officers attempted contact but were unable to locate the juvenile.

— Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of Continental Drive at 1:52 p.m. Thursday to speak with an employee regarding a possible theft of medication. The employee advised an internal investigation would be conducted and only a report was needed.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 1:36 p.m. Thursday to assist the Mahoning County Human Trafficking Task Force with an arrest of a man attempting to solicit a woman. The man was arrested and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers were provided information regarding a domestic violence incident that occurred at a local club on Oct. 11 around 9 p.m. at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

— A city resident turned old ammunition located in their basement into the police department at 10:11 a.m. Thursday. There was a single live bullet, and the rest were old shell casings, and officers accepted and disposed of the items.

— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 6:34 a.m. Thursday for a report of an intoxicated woman who had received medical attention and been released and was attempting to leave on foot. Officers stood by with the woman until her ride arrived.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 12:06 a.m. Thursday for a report of a possibly impaired driver. Officers found the vehicle parked and no longer in operation, and the owner was found not to have a valid license and not to be intoxicated. A licensed driver was on scene the park the vehicle closer to the curb.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man going through the trash of a business after hours. The business has asked before the people not be on the property after hours, and the man was advised to leave the property.

— Officers on patrol in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a red-light violation, and further investigation found the driver Anthony Manion, 57, Salem had an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. Manion was taken into custody without issue and transported to the Columbiana County Jail, and another person responded to collect the vehicle on his behalf.

— Officers responded to Fresh Mark at 6:16 p.m. Wednesday to assist the fire department with a vehicle fire. Officers spoke with the fire department about the matter.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 3:53 p.m. Wednesday for a reported ambulance needed complaint. Officers stood by while the fire department and EMT treated the patient who was later transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday regarding an ongoing issue involving his ex-wife not abiding by court ordered visitation instructions. The man advised that he resides out of state but has shared custody of his son including nightly phone calls at 7 p.m., and the mother has reportedly stopped permitting the phone calls and since Sept. 23. The man further advised that his name is supposed to be on a list that permits him to pick his son up from the school, and presented officers with documentation including class schedules and similar papers that had been mailed to him by his son’s teachers earlier this year, but when he went to pick his son up from school that day school administrators requested the school resource officer advise him that he was not wanted on school property and would not release his son to him. The man wanted to return to the school to speak with the principal about the list, however officers recommend he call to speak with the principal by phone to avoid any potential trespass issues. Officers advised a report would be made to document the issue and provided him with a report number, and the man advised he was in the area for a court hearing Thursday for contempt of court against the mother for the ongoing violation issues.

— The school resource officer was advised of an issue with an out-of-state parent showing up at the school at 2:56 p.m. Wednesday. The officer spoke with the parent, advised him of the process of dealing with the issue and that he had to leave and could possibly face trespass charges if he returned. He advised he understood and left without any further issue.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 2:34 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possible drug deal. Officers checked the area but did not locate any vehicles matching the description given.

— The school resource officer was advised by a parent of an issue her son had at an after-school event at 2:06 p.m. Wednesday. The incident was documented, and the parent was advised to contact the proper school administration for any further complaints.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday for a report of illegal dumping. Officers were advised used vehicle tires and trash were dumped inside a dumpster, not belonging to any of the tenants. Officers advised the caller a police report would be made.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday for a reported assault. Officers spoke with both parties and collected information, and advised the caller that the matter would need to be investigated further and that they would contact them once more information was acquired.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday for a report of people outside a residence making threats. Officers collected information and checked the area with nobody located.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 7:54 p.m. Tuesday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers found the apartment the call was pinging from to be vacant and unoccupied. Officers checked the surrounding area for any kind of disturbance but were unable to locate anything unusual.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on juveniles. When officers arrived, nobody was home, but they were able to contact the father and spoke with the juveniles later in the night confirming they were okay.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday for a reported runaway juvenile. Officers located the juvenile and transported them back to their residence where they were later transported to the hospital by first responders for psychological evaluation.
