Leetonia

— Bryan Dilling, no address listed, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. Sunday in the area of Wilson and High streets for being a fugitive from justice, a parole violation and failure to signal, after a routine traffic stop. His passenger Mary Kell also had an active warrant for failure to appear on a driving under suspension charges. Their vehicle was towed an they are taken to Columbiana County Jail.

— A female Leetonia resident reported at 5:08 p.m. Monday that Travis Beiling was continuing to try and contact her via phone from the Pickaway Correctional Institution despite an active Temporary Protection Order. Leetonia already an active investigation in regards to this matter and that would be noted under that case.

— An officer was sent to the Somer Street home of Zachary Daniels on behalf of Stark County Sheriff at 8:40 p.m. Monday as they wanted to call him pursuant to a criminal trespass complaint involving his ex-girlfriend in Alliance.

— Police investigated a suspicious person complaint at 6:12 p.m. Monday in the first block of Front Street, where an unidentified white male couldn’t be observed suspiciously walking around his residence two hours before; therefore, police are increasing patrols in the area.

— A caller reported at 5:04 p.m. Oct. 11 that a toddler was observed on the roof of a residence in the 300 block of Columbia Street. An officer arrived at the scene and could not either find said toddler or anyone in the residence.

Liverpool Township

— Police responded to a non-injury motor vehicle crash at 8:38 p.m. Thursday in the first block of Annesley Road. Two vehicles passing opposite direction had hit mirrors in passing near Maranatha Chapel. Both vehicles had very minor damage, so a report was made and put on file for their insurance companies.

— Karen Culp, no address listed, was cited at 9:29 p.m. Saturday for expired plates after she was pulled over in the area of Parkway and Rubicon for an equipment violation and found to be driving a car belonging to a deceased person. Her car was ultimately towed by First Class.

— A week before on Oct. 6, Joseph Adams was driving under suspension shortly after midnight after a police officer observed him operating a white truck with a non-functional license plate light near Broad Street and Parkway Avenue. Although Adams did have driving privileges with the court, giving a ride to a friend after midnight did not qualify. His passenger was valid and ended up driving the vehicle away.

— A hit-skip crash was reported at 8:14 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 2500 block of Lisbon Street. Several hours before, a white Jeep Cherokee had ran off the roadway to the right and into two barriers before striking a home, which was captured on camera footage. An officer filed a report and the resident would follow up with pictures and damages.

— An Annesley Road woman advised at 11:21 a.m. Sept. 21 that the license plate disappeared off her daughter’s car after leaving work the night before. A report was put on file.

— Connor Wallace, no address provided, was cited for going 43 mph in a 30 mph zone at 5:23 p.m. Sept. 25 on Armstrong Lane.

Wellsville

— Brandon Jackson, no address provided, was cited at 7:46 p.m. Thursday on charges of criminal damaging an hit-skip after he struck a utility pole near Pep’s Minimart with his blue Dodge Ram and flatbed trailer and left the scene.

— Police responded to a neighbor dispute at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 5 in the area of Broadway Avenue. The caller reported that a neighbor who had parked in her driveway became aggressive when she asked him to remove his vehicle. Officers reminded the man if he parked there again that it could result in a charge of criminal trespass. The caller, after police learned that the neighbors had made threats against her, was advised to install cameras around her residence if she was worried about retribution. In the meantime the case was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Salem

— Officers on patrol in the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday observed a vehicle parked with its four-way flashers on, and a person sitting in the vehicle. The person was identified and advised that he was waiting on his girlfriend to exit the apartment. The man was advised to pull into the alley and wait for the girlfriend there since there no parking permitted on the street.

— Officers responded to the area of East State Street and South Ellsworth Avenue at 8:12 a.m. Tuesday for a reported reckless operator. The caller advised the vehicle swerved and almost struck a mailbox. Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot, speaking with the driver who advised he swerved to miss an animal that was in the roadway.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 2:06 a.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with a woman who had a visible head injury and the fire department and EMT were contacted to assist. Officers collected photos of the injuries to the woman and attempted to locate the male half which fled before officers arrived. Officers were unable to locate the man, and the matter is under investigation.

— Officers on patrol in the 100 block of West State Street at 11:35 p.m. Monday observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver had an active warrant through Lorain County. The driver was taken into custody and turned over to the Ohio State Highway Patrol for the active warrant.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2200 block of East State Street at 9:33 p.m. Monday for a report of a person needing assistance. Officers spoke with the man finding they were homeless and without a vehicle. Officers transported him to the police department, so they did not have to remain outside in the cold. Arrangements were made so they had a place to stay for tonight and that a crisis intervention team on demand would be contacting him tomorrow to assist him with his current situation.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street at 5:05 p.m. Monday for a wellness check on a city resident. Officers found the resident had fallen in her yard and needed an ambulance. First responders and EMT responded, and the person was transported to the emergency room.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of East State Street at 3:42 p.m. Monday for a report of a bicycle stolen from a parking lot over the weekend. The caller had footage from the store security system showing the incident, and the matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East School Street at 12:34 p.m. Monday for a report of a suspicious object. The caller advised that she had found a knife near the playground, and officers took the knife to be properly disposed of.

— Officers spoke to a person in the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and West State Street at 11:23 a.m. Monday for a report of debris in the roadway. The caller advised that while driving a glass table fell out of his vehicle and shattered in the roadway. The street department was made aware of the issue.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Prospect Street at 9:29 a.m. Sunday for a reported neighbor dispute. Officers spoke with both parties who advised that the argument was over a conversation that happened the night prior at a party. Officers advised both parties to stay away from each other and cool down.
