–Officers responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller advised that a man was walking in and out of the business several times. Officers located the person who advised he was waiting for a ride, and while officers were present the man was picked up.
–Officers responded to Centennial Park at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday for a reported animal complaint. The caller advised that a dog was caged inside a car. Officers located the vehicle but did not observe the dog to be in distress. Contact was made with the owner who advised that he had just placed the dog in the car and was assisting others picking up trash in the park, and the dog is not good around others.
–Officers responded to the 1800 block of Cleveland Street at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a child. The caller, who is the mother, advised the child was not at day care when she arrived to pick them up. Officers spoke with the father who advised it was their day with the child, and the incident was found to be a misunderstanding.
–Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 6:01 p.m. Tuesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense. The person involved was placed into custody and officers seized $160 in cash as part of the investigation. The person in question was released on a summons and given a mandatory court date.
–Officers spoke to a person by phone at 3:41 p.m. Tuesday for a report of theft. Officers were advised that a package was delivered at the caller’s residence and was no longer there when they went to retrieve it. Officers advised a police report would be made.
–The School Resource Officer was advised by a student on ongoing issues with harassment by an individual saying they would show up at her residence. The student advised that this was sent by text a few days prior, and just wanted it documented in case there were any further issues. The student was advised to call the local police department where she lives if the person comes to her residence.
–Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with the individuals in question who advised that they had been arguing but nothing physical had occurred. Officers advised them to remain separated for the remainder of the day.
–Officers responded to the area of Pearce Circle and Pearce Street at 9:43 p.m. Monday for a reported suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area and surrounding streets, but the vehicle had already departed.
New Waterford
— Dakota Densmore, 20, New Waterford, was cited for failure to control, no motorcycle endorsement and failure to display license plates after officers responded to the 46000 block of Taylor Avenue at 3:02 p.m. Oct. 6 where he had crashed a motorcycle.
— Officers responded to the 46000 block of Church Street at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in reference to a man and woman yelling. Officers determined nothing physical had occurred and the woman left to stay with a friend.
— Officers responded to th 3200 block of Creek Road at 1:54 p.m. Oct. 4 in reference to dirt bikes being operated in the wooded area. Officers checked the area but found no dirt bikes.
