Columbiana
— Stacy Love, of Leetonia, was arrested at 11:04 p.m. Sept. 27 on a charge of drug paraphernalia, after a traffic stop near South Main Street and Woodland Avenue.
— A female subject reported at 9:25 a.m. Sept. 27 that she was a victim of identity fraud through a “Publishers Clearing House” scammer, who withdrew money from her bank account. The incident continues to be under investigation.
— A city resident reported at 6 p.m. Sept. 22 that her purse disappeared while at Firestone Park.
— Officers responded at 12:27 p.m. Sept. 22 to the 300 block of North Main Street to investigate an animal neglect complaint. Upon arrival, two dogs were found in separate cages with no shelter from the elements or food. After placing water bowls in the cages, a tap was put over the cages for shade. Owners were not home at time of complaint, so officers will attempt to contact the owners when they arrive home.
— Police investigated a possible custody dispute at 4:59 p.m. in the 200 block of Union Street. Though there were no custody issues upon arrival, complainant did express a concern about the mother of two children residing in his home.
— Tiffany Rabquer, of Leetonia, was cited at 5:43 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 100 block of East State Route 14 with driving under suspension, after a traffic stop.
— An officer responded at 10:10 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 300 block of Union Street to assist EMS for a suicide threat.
— A female subject requested a welfare check on her suicidal nephew at 11:37 p.m. Sept. 26 in the first block of Beechwood Drive.
— Roman Capuano, of Columbiana, was arrested at 12:56 a.m. Sept. 27 on a charge of physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence, after he was found passed out in his running vehicle near the intersection of North Main and Seventh streets.
— Officers performed another welfare check at 1:42 a.m. Sept. 28 in the 1200 block of Fairfield Avenue.
Highway Patrol
— Chance Beer, of Morris Road in Lisbon, was cited at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 1 in Elkrun Township for failure to control, after allegedly crossing the center line when traveling westbound on state Route 154, going off the left side of state Route 165, striking a culvert and a tree, overturning and hitting another tree.
— Barbara Jean Watson, of Rally Road in New Waterford, was cited at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 30 in Rogers for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after rear-ending a vehicle driven by Marlena Kalinoski, of Camelot Drive in Columbiana.
— Bridget Russell, of Poland, was cited at 10:55 a.m. Sept. 28 in Beaver Township for failure to yield, after she struck a stopped vehicle drive by Thomas Blazinic, of Canfield, when turning east on state Route 14.
— Jonathan McCoy, of state Route 45 in Lisbon, was cited at 8:40 a.m. Sept. 28 for failure to control, after he drove off the right side of Lower Elkton Road in Fairfield Township and hit an utility pole.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 1:52 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised a man was in the store talking to himself and screaming. Officers spoke with the man who advised everybody was out to get him and he needed help. Officers requested EMT respond. The man was transported to Boardman Hospital.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Columbia Street at 12:28 p.m. Monday to attempt to locate a man with an active warrant out of Columbiana County. Officers were unable to locate the man.
— While on a field trip at the police department, a juvenile started to feel ill at 11:06 a.m. Monday. The fire department responded and stood by with the juvenile until they felt better.
— Officers responded to the area of East State Street at 6:48 a.m. Monday for a reported reckless operator complaint. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 2:50 a.m. Monday to assist Perry Township Officers with a traffic stop. Perry Township had stopped a vehicle that had been stolen from the city earlier in the night. Officers took the man in question, whose name was not listed, into custody without incident and the vehicle was towed by Sinsley towing.
