East Liverpool

— A verbal warning was issued to a driver following a traffic stop on Parkway Avenue on Sept. 28 for a license plate light.

— Officer had a male move a vehicle with an expired plate off the roadway on Harriet Street on Sept. 20, so the vehicle would not have to be towed.

— An officer responded to a warrant arrest in the 600 block of St. Clair Avenue on Sept. 21 with the highway patrol. A trooper from the highway patrol placed the male in custody.

— While on patrol on Sept. 21 officers discovered a truck parked in the lot behind Westgate Middle School with a plate on it registered to a different vehicle and a broken rear window. Officers checked the nearby woods and found no one. The officer said that First Class Towing would be called.

— A female driver was released with a warning for speed following a Sept. 21 traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue.

— Officers responded to reports of a female yelling and throwing things at a residence in the 300 block of Shadylane. Officers arrived and didn’t hear anything and were told by neighbors they didn’t hear anything out of the ordinary.

— Charles Lewis was released after being trespassed from a residence in the 900 block of Florence Street after the resident called and reported a male attempting to get into her garage. When Lewis was located and asked if he had anything illegal on him, he told officers he had Ice (meth). Lewis was transported away from the property and told not to return. The suspected narcotics were sent to BCI for testing.

— Russell Crow, 67, (address not provided) was arrested and charged with OVI following a Sept. 22 traffic stop on 3rd Street. Crow was given a citation and court date before being released to a family member.

— Officers were able to identify but not locate Carmen Roberts who is suspected to have misled a male by providing him a false name, age and address. The male said he drove from Akron to help a female using the name Carmen Neveah move out of her house and when he arrived at the address she provided, she got in his car and then a man approached with a gun demanding money.

— Officers released a driver with a warning after a traffic stop for running a red light on St. Clair Avenue on Sept. 22.

— Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Minerva Street on Sept. 22 for a domestic violence situation. A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.

— Officers asked a resident in the 1100 block of Lisbon Street to keep his dogs quiet after responding to a barking complaint on Sept. 22.

— Officers contacted ELFD to transport a resident from the 1000 block of Rubicon Street to the hospital because he was making suicidal threats.

New Waterford

— Officers responded to the 3200 block of Creek Road at 1:30 p.m. Monday to check the welfare of a man in a garbage truck. Officers spoke with the man and found he had just been sleeping.

— Officers responded to the 3200 block of Creek Road at 11:32 a.m. Sept. 20 in reference to a domestic dispute between two juvenile siblings. Officers determined no actual violence or threats had occurred.

Columbiana

— Officers were dispatched at 7:51 p.m. Saturday for a suicidal individual in the 300 block of Kingwood Avenue.

— Police took a report at 12:57 p.m. Saturday on station of a disturbance in the first block of South Vine Street.

— Schmerz McGee, of Youngstown, was cited at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 20 after a traffic stop near state Routes 14 and 46.

— Columbiana Exempted School District reported at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 20 that an employee’s email was hacked, affecting the employee’s payroll. The investigation continues.

— A female subject reported at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 20 that she was the victim of a hit-skip at Wendy’s.

— Theodore Gelinas, of Youngstown, was cited at 8:46 p.m. Sept. 19 near Stanton Avenue and Main Street for driving under suspension.

— Jordan Scheller, of Columbiana, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 100 block of South Elm Street on an active warrant through the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.

— A male subject reported at 10:50 a.m. Sept. 16 on station that he was the possible victim of identity theft. No other information was provided.

— Kaitlyn Bishop, of East Palestine, was cited at 1:45 p.m. Sept. 15 for driving under suspension after a traffic stop at state Route 14 and Park Avenue.

— Jamie Tice, no address listed, was arrested shortly after midnight Sept. 15 on an outstanding warrant from the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office following a disturbance on Edgewood Drive.

Goshen

–Morgan Kane, 23, Leetonia, was cited for disobeying traffic control devices after his eastbound vehicle on Youngstown-Salem Road was observed stopping at a red light before continuing through the intersection while the light was still red at 12:11 a.m. Saturday.

–Officers responded to the 9300 block of Knauf Road at 1:02 a.m. Saturday for a reported abandoned vehicle. Officers searched the area for the driver but were unable to locate them. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to being towed by Sinsley Towing located two STNA badges, and a driver’s license in the vehicle. The Campbell Police Department was requested to send an officer to contact the owner, who advised that their daughter was driving the vehicle, and she did not know why it had been abandoned. The owner also advised that the juvenile was in Austintown at that time. Officers advised the owner her vehicle was towed and how to retrieve it.

–Zander Setlock, 19, Sebring, was cited for speeding and warned for no rear illumination of his license plate after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 165 was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:43 p.m. Friday.

–Officers responded to the 6000 block of West Calla Road at 12:23 p.m. Friday for a wellness check on a child that had not been to school in a few days. When officers arrived, they observed two dogs tied to separate trees with no food or water, a broken screen door handle, and the main door to have no bottom and be unable to latch shut. Officers spoke with the child’s father who advised that they had Covid and were staying at home to social distance from other students. Officers notified South Range’s school resource officer.

–Sydney Leone, 23, Canfield, was cited for speeding after her southeast-bound vehicle on Cleveland East Liverpool Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 1:32 a.m. Friday.

–Steven Fernandez, 32, Salem, was cited for expired registration and warned for speeding after his southeast bound vehicle on Cleveland-East Liverpool Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 18.

–Christopher Magsamen, 47, Broadview Heights, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on Alliance-Salem Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 5:09 p.m. Sept. 18.

–Christopher White, 21, Alliance, was cited for driving under suspension, and warned for speeding and display of plates after his westbound vehicle on state Route 165 was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit with no visible plate at 8:25 p.m. Sept. 18.

–Officers responded to the area of Seacrist Road near West Pine Lake Road at 2:56 p.m. Sept. 18, for a report of a combine on fire. Officers performed traffic control until the fire was extinguished by the Damascus Fire Department, The combine was removed from the roadway.

–Deann Howard, 53, McDonald, was cited for speeding after her southbound vehicle on Green Beaver Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 2:50 p.m. Sept. 18.

–Robert Spatz, 19, Salem, was cited for speeding after her northbound vehicle on Beaver Creek Road was observed travelling in excess of the speed limit at 1:34 p.m. Sept 18.

–Kaileigh Mitchley, 35, Columbiana, was cited for speeding after her southbound vehicle on Green Beaver Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 7:55 a.m. Sept. 18.

–Officers responded to 11000 block of West Middletown Road at 7:21 p.m. Sept. 17 for a report of a man burning radiator parts. Officers spoke with the resident advising them of the complaint, who apologized and advised he was burning a couch. The remnants of the fire were put out by the Damascus Fire Department, and the resident was advised that the matter would be documented and next time he would be cited or referred to the Ohio EPA.

–Nathan Hall, 34, Youngstown, was cited for speeding after his southbound vehicle on Pricetown Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 17.

–Kevin Mutton, 46, Kensington, was cited for speeding after his eastbound vehicle on West South Range Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit at 3:35 p.m. Sept. 17.

— Caden West, 16, Salem, was cited for speeding after his southeast bound vehicle on Egypt Road was observed traveling in excess of the speed limit.
