-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 3:22 a.m. Thursday after camera footage observed two people on the roof of a business. Officers spoke with the men, identifying them, and issued a warning for trespassing and sent them on their way.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West State Street at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday for a reported ambulance needed. Officers spoke with a caller and a man, and after speaking with the man officers had an ambulance respond and pink slipped the man.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Aetna Street at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised that he had some property stored at a friend's residence in the 500 block of Aetna Street per an agreement and that he wanted to retrieve the property and was upset the occupant would not let him in. The caller acknowledged not residing at the property and officers did make a courtesy call to the resident who advised she did not want the man in her house but she had text the caller prior to officers contacting her wanting to know the location of his belongings in the house so she could retrieve it for him, which the caller confirmed.
-- Officers responded to the 1400 block of Quaker Court at 7:54 p.m. Wednesday for a report of possible shots fired. Officers checked the area but did not locate anyone shooting in the area.
-- Officers spoke to a man by phone at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possible scam. The man advised that on Tuesday he noticed two unauthorized transactions on his card, and he hadn't made any transactions with the card since Sunday. The man said that he'd had the card closed with the bank upon noticing the unauthorized transactions and wanted a report on file and to make the department aware of a possible scam.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal damage. The caller advised that sometime over the night someone had driven through his back yard damaging flowers and a retaining wall. The caller advised that he just wanted the incident documented for insurance purposes.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Second Street at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday for a reported medical emergency. Officers stood by until the person in question was transported to the emergency room by ambulance.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of North Madison Avenue at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that a large number of cars were driving down the road and people seemed to stare at him when he came outside. Officers advised that there was nothing criminal and he advised he understood.
-- Officers responded to the 2900 block of East State Street at 8:08 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious object. The caller advised them that the owner of the property had been sent to the hospital and would be back to get them when she got out. He advised that he would just place the items to the side then.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 5:59 a.m. Wednesday for a reported ambulance needed. The person in question advised he was having thoughts of self-harm and wanted to go to the hospital. The person was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT for medical attention.
-- Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers checked the area, and everything appeared to be normal. Officers advised the caller to contact them if anything else was needed.
-- Officers responded to the 1700 block of East State Street at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday for a report of threats being made. The caller advised that while he was parked in the parking lot of a local business a person approached him and started accusing him of calling him names. The caller advised he had never met the person and had no idea what prompted the man to approach him, and he rolled his window up and the person in question went back inside his residence. It was found that no threats were made, just a verbal argument and both parties went their separate ways. Officers attempted to contact the person in question but were unable and officers advised them to stay clear for the night and contact them if an incident should occur again.
-- Officers responded to the Holiday Inn at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check as a carryover from an incident prior in the evening. Officers arrived and found the person in question standing in the hotel lobby bleeding excessively. Officers applied bandages until first responders arrived where the person was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of Continental Drive at 12:38 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check on a woman that left the facility and made concerning comments. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate her. Staff at the facility advised that she was her own person and was permitted to come and go as she wished.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Street at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle following a person around and trying to talk them into getting in the car. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle in question and collected information on the vehicle from the caller who described it as a blue Pontiac G6 with three presumably teenage boys inside. Officers advised the caller and the person to stay inside for the night and contact officers immediately if the vehicle was seen again and not to confront them if they do.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fifth Street at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic dispute. It was discovered that a verbal altercation occurred between a husband and wife and during the occasion the male half did become physical with the female half causing non-threatening injuries. The female half denied needing medical attention and the male half, Dominic Pagani, 51, Salem was placed into custody charged with domestic violence and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- An officer responded to the 2100 block of Monroe Street at 3:29 a.m. Friday in reference to an unknown issue and found an intoxicated woman having a depression episode, but declining medical treatment. Everyone involved went inside their home for the night.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:52 a.m. Friday in reference to a woman on the ground and found an intoxicated woman face down on the ground and bleeding from her face. Medical personnel responded and the woman was transported to the Salem hospital. Officers followed the ambulance due to the woman being agitated and slightly combative.
-- An officer responded to the 100 block of Benton Road at 9:25 p.m. Thursday where a resident reported people with a company knocking down a building on a neighboring property were entering his property, providing security video showing an adult man and child looking into compartments of a boat on his property. The resident did not find anything missing and the officer said an extra watch would be provided.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 9:12 Thursday in reference to a male looking into windows, but the male had left before they arrived. Officers returned to the area at 9:35 p.m. for the same male looking in windows again and while on scene the fire department responded to for a female juvenile having a medical issue. The juvenile was transported to Akron Children's Hospital
-- Officers responded to a youth facility in the 200 block of South Lundy Avenue at 7:55 p.m. Thursday in reference to a juvenile threatening to run away from home and who kicked two staff members. The juvenile's mother arrived to transport the juvenile home and requested officers follow her to ensure the juvenile would go inside.
-- Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force on an alleged sex offense in the 100 block of West State Street at 6:28 p.m. Thursday. Officers seized $160 as part of the investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Jennings Avenue at 4:08 p.m. Thursday for a well-being check on a possibly intoxicated man. Officers found him to be intoxicated and complaining of stomach pain, wanting to go to the hospital. The man was transported by first responders to the hospital.
-- A Kennedy Drive resident reported at 2:09 p.m. Thursday his ex-wife had caused a disturbance while he was dropping off food at her North Madison Avenue home, striking him in the face while he was in the car.
-- Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an arrest in the 100 block of West State Street at 1:20 p.m. Thursday. The man was transported to the county jail.
Perry Township
-- Officers responded to the 1400 block of Depot Road at 5:10 a.m. Thursday in reference to a water line break and found a large amount of water bubbling from the ground. Officers contacted the water department.
-- A Maryland Avenue resident reported at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday an unknown dog had bitten her son, causing minor injuries, while he was outside playing. She said she was inside and only saw the tail end of the dog as it ran away.
-- Officers received a call from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office at 6 p.m. Monday regarding a sexual assault in the 500 block of East Pine Lake Road. The matter is under investigation.
-- Keith Cameron, 29, Alliance, was charged with domestic violence after officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 3:22 p.m. Monday where he allegedly grabbed a woman at his home by the arms during an argument.
